Not AFAIK, but with the lokified workaround, it's probably better this way. Your bootloader remains stock and pristine no matter what you do with 2nd-init stuff. Makes it darn near impossible to hard-brick your phone.

Hey guys,
I have tried to search for this but I couldn't find it anywhere. Can anyone tell me if this means my bootloader is locked or unlocked?
I want it to be locked because I need to send it back to LG for some touchscreen defects, and yes I didn't even take a look of the locked bootloader before unlocking it.
Thanks for helping!

Best way to be sure you removed any trace of unauthorized modification is tu use kdz updater and a sdcard wipe, after you backed up all your stuff.

I'd love it if it were possible, but sadly I'm afraid not. Really hope I'm wrong here.

Long story short: It is and stays un-unlockable forever, no matter if you remove SIM or netlock.

Yup, me too
Unlocked bootloader is not "always" necessary, the G2 have loki and not unlocked bootloader, whit great and a lot of development, i'm sure if we can get loki, don't need an unlocked bootloader.
Yes

Not loki but thecube said something about another kind of exploit, if it's not possible with the "standard" unlock.
Before buying the g3 , I already knew about th locked bootloader. But I just have to get it because of the sexy look . Would love to try cm , aosp on this phone but I can wait as the stock rom isn't that bad that I wanted to use cm straightaway .
You guys might be waiting some time ?, doubt it will happen, but hope the best for you.
Returned mine, but not only because of the locked bootloader

Always gotta be a negative person when it comes to boot loader being unlocked one way or another.. So please just go troll somewhere else
Got the phone, saled but if bootloader unlock i will buy again
Ive been waiting to buy it until the bootloader is unlocked. I refuse to spend my money on a device that im buying outright and not be able to do what I want with it.
LG your going to lose money if you don't allow an unlock. .sony does...htc does...samsung doesnt even lock the Canadian bootloaders.... ill buy from one of those companies instead until you do what is right for your customers.

Hi, im looking at getting the lg g4.
however, my question is does the lg have a similar software to the samsung such as knox which is tripped if you flash a custom kernel etc

no but you need the int version to be able to unlock bootloader...if not nothing custom!!!
Nope, I guess
If you unlock the bootloader with lg official tool (makes void the warranty), you can flash everything is available
But, unlocked bootloader screen will be displayed at every boot. So, same bad knox issue for warranty.

Hi guys,
I have been researching for weeks and i cant find what guide to use to unlock my lg g4. Is there a guide thats better than others? Its an 815 model and is stock. I want to unlock it and install CM and all that. It was way easier with my old Samsung s3, but the g4 seems confusing?
Thanks
try this.
