Facebook using tons of battery

Facebook is using as much battery as the display is on my phone. Anyone have a fix? I'm running cm9 nightly 5/13. Thanks

I dont believe facebook is a cpu heavy app. Unless your on it all the time. Its probably your actual usage and nothing wrong with the app or cm 9

I check it about 5 times a day...and I looked on the battery thing in settings...display 30% and Facebook 30%. There used to be a thread on this issue but I can't find it..

I had this problem once with my wife's sensation and it was because I restored the app. Deleting and reinstalling fixed it for her. Also changing the sync settings to off also helped alot too.
I personally prefer the Friendcaster app better though.

I'm not having any issues with it at all and I don't disable background data or fb sync.. but when I was having issues with it on my nexus I just used friend caster or the website itself. Make a shortcut to the bookmark on your home screen and you'll be good as gold.

I never use the Original Facebook app i heard it invades a lot of privacy because of those permissions before installing it... The app i use that i recommend to everyone in here is "Tinfoil For Facebook" because it creates a sandbox for Facebook's mobile site and it protects your privacy and to avoid them tracking your browsing history. I use it everyday and it's way better than the Original Facebook app.

I think this is the answer I've been looking for. I'm also one of the people whose Facebook app randomly starts draining the battery, but really don't like allowing it free reign on my phone for privacy reasons either. Just installed tinfoil and deleted Facebook. Appreciate it.

You just install it from your recovery. Just reboot into recovery& flash from there. That's how I install all my files..

I have to be de-odex to install this right?
I tried flashing this with mobile odin and twrp and i still don't see the beats software.
I'm using cleanrom which is not de-odex I'm guessing.

I don't think so. But I'm using CWM not TWRP. So not sure if that makes a difference.
Did you start a music player and then try opening up the menu & it should b there in your Eqsetting!

NEXUS 4 USERS:
I am currently working on compatibility with xhdpi devices, and I picked the Nexus 4, because it should be the most compatible device for my app, since it is a pure Google device. My device got here a few days ago.

This means that either the system could somehow not be mounted as RW or you don't have Busybox installed.

Download Busybox from PlayStore and install it. Some rooting methods do not include busybox.

Ok, BusyBox is definatly installed. There also is no error when copying the files, but when setting their permissions they do not exist, magically. Wierd. Does the custom ROM you are using have the path /sdcard/ ? and check if there are the two files zip and zipalign in it?

Yes it does use that patch and there are two zip files. I'm using minco ROM with Franco kernel of that matters

App works fine, Love all the animations, works great. Only thing, I got a boot loop is when I tried to restore a backed-up framework settings though

I have several things installed on Crystal skulls Rom. Pretty cool! Thanks for your work! Only issues I have is with halo I get a parsing error. I moved it to system apps & changed permissions, but when I try to install, it won't & gives me a parsing error, any ideas?

I also did wipe cache and dalvik cache and wipe app data, another thing, the app comes up as music player instead of just music, how to fix?

When you go to settings, App. Manager, all, what version of Music do you have, it should be version 6.0.1.

Make sure you have enabled Developer option" , and allow "mock locations" , it should work.
