PLZ HELP!!!
If you can still start in Download mode (Home key + Volume Down key + Power key) or in Recovery mode (Home key + Power key) it's not hard-bricked so it can be revived.
Options to try: start in recovery and wipe data/factory reset (recommended when changing roms), reflash stock rom with odin and do same as above...
I dont know where to get stock rom?????
Search for a multifile ROM (for Gio) and flash it with ODIN

flash with odin.
I am Going to try it .... Lets hope evry thing goes alrite.........
I also bricked my phone 2days before and rcovered.dont worry.
You need to get odin flashable firmware files.
My suggesion is to google with your phones no like s5360
... Etc try googling PDA_S5560...DDK etc etc
They will be group of files with extension .tar and filename starts in my case with PDA_S5360....,MODEM_S 5360....,BOOT_S....
Etc. best luck

Hello and a sorry for my english
I've done something very very stupid. In the ROM Manager I choose, by mistake, in the Flash ClockworkMod Recovery a different phone than my one and then I push the Backup Current Rom option. In that moment my galaxy gio crashed... it is completely off, I ve try to push all the buttons it is really dead.
What can I do?
There is a very small space on the bottom of the phone where I can push with something to restart it?
Help please

Rom Manager author should really get those CWM recoverys out of that list ... lately a lot of ppl flash wrong CWM`s and brick their phones
No, u don`t have any "hidden button to reset it "
Try to get your battery out, leave it alone for 5 mins or so, and then put battery in and press Volume Down + Home button + power button same time and see if u can get to Downloading mode
If that works, try to flash a stock rom with Odin, there are some tutorials here use the search button
Rom managers recovery for Gio is outdated (4.X.X), better use recovery 5.X.X by Phiezx
I decided to root my desire HD today,
I was on firmware 3.xx with sense 3 ... Stock Gingerbread.
I successfully downgraded to 1.24.405.1 with the help of RUU
then i managed to root my device following the wiki.cyanogenmod tutorial.
Booted up with the respective android 2.2 successfully even after the root.
Checked root access via Root checker Basic , it said i had correct root access.
How ever , after flashing the clockwork recovery mode , My cell phone has NOT been able to *reboot* properly
i.e when i switch it off , it does not give any response without me taking out the battery and putting it back again .
When i try to go into bootloader/recovery mode , it just gives me a blank black screen.
Please tell me what to do in such a situation , i tried re-running the same RUU , but it gave me an error.
Please forgive me if i have created a re-post.. understand that my situation right now isn't the best.
PLease advice me as to what i should do , i wish to flash CM 7.1 on it, or at least return back to proper stock as soon as possible .
P.S the cell works fine right now , after i have removed the battery & re inserted. It however does not reboot.
Please help me as soon as possible !

This page should have some details on how to install recovery via ADB. Not sure if it will help but it should. Try the FastBoot method.

Thank you for your reply,
For now i am reluctant to even switch off my cell phone
Is there any full proof method of solving this ??
If not then in that case i'll try this method.!

Do you mean you tried rebooting with holding down the volumeDown button and then pressing the power button?
When i shut down the DHD .. & press volume down + power, it did now go into clockworkMod.. instead it booted up fine .. into android 2.2
This probably happened because i deleted the rom manager before..i thought deleting it work also remove clockworkmod's unsuccessful recovery flash..!my bad
Also ,I wanted to ask, is it because of the buggy flash of clockworkmod recovery, that my phone does not boot up when i try to *reboot*...
Anyways, i tried the volume down & power button again , & it goes into the HTC bootloader/recovery.. which has the options of fastboot, etc .. Not the clockworkmod recovery, even though i have it installed(5.0.2.0) via rom manager
Sorry for such a long post =(

This is a very good idea, you can do so through ROM Manager. If that doesn't fix your problem, try reinstalling ROM from clockwork - don't use ROM Manager to flash ROMs.

When you boot up holding volume down and power it NOT suppose to boot into cwr. That is normal, its suppose to boot into the bootloader(white screen) from their you choose recovery to enter certain/4ext

Thank you for your kind suggestions,
I finally have a working clockworkMod Recovery,
I have to boot into bootloader, then recovery.
So right now i have backed up my ROM from clockworkMod recovery, and now preparing myself to install CM 7.1 from recovery menu itself.(after data-wipe etc)
I am safe right ? I have successfully backed up the phone(ROM) 2 times from clockwork mod recovery.
So now I can go ahead and flash CM 7.1 right ?
OH MY GOD !!!!
Now i know what the problem is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i flashed cm 7.1 successfully , still the reboot issue !
i returned to stock successfully by using the same RUU in fastboot mode... & amazingly .. SAME REBOOT ISSUE !
So now ive analysed , its the freaking wrong RUU version for my Indian desire HD
that is at fault !!!!!
So now , can any1 help me find a exploitable version ruu , so that I can flash to that version and start the rooting process again ??
If not Indian version , am i safe to put the 1.32.405.6 version RUU ??

I honestly dont think it has anything to do with the rom. Just reinstall recovery either through Rom Manager or using the link i gave to you earlier.
Solved ! =)
Downloaded proper version RUU..flashed via fastboot... solved reboot issue!
Then rooted again and put cyanogenmod 7.1
Thanks for the replies ppl =) !

Hi! I tried flashing my HTC ONE V (GSM) with Pacman ROM available on this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....8770.
I started from the very beginning of this process and here is what I did :
1. Unlocked my bootloader using HTCDEV site. ---- WORKED WELL.
2. Installed ClockWordMod recovery - touch version. ----- WORKED WELL.
3. Downloaded Pacman ROM from above link posted on XDA developers only.
4. Downloaded GAPPS for 4.2.x from the link available on the same link above.
5. Fastboot flashed my phone with BOOT.img file available with Pacman ROM ZIP file. ---- WORKED WELL.
6. Copied both the above ZIP files to my SD card.
7. Restarted my phone in Bootloader mode; went for RECOVERY mode from there.
8. CWM Recovery Screen comes up - v5.8.3.1
9. WIPE Data/Factory Reset ---- WORKED WELL.
10. Wipe Cache Partition ---- WORKED WELL.
11. Wipe Dalvik Cache ---- WORKED WELL.
12. Install ZIP from SDCARD.
13. Chose respetive Pacman ROM ZIP file & INSTALLED. ---- WORKED WELL.
14. Rebooted phone.
15. Installed GAPPS ZIP file in similar manner. ---- WORKED WELL.
16. Rebooted phone and still stuck on same RECOVERY MODE screen stating that "This build is for developers only....".
I followed all instructions and applied them in correct order but my phone is now stuck completely.
I tried restoring my backed up ROM (I did made a Nandriod backup of my ROM before starting this process!) but after successful install when it reboots it lands on the same screen and get stuck again..painful!
I even tried FACTORY RESET option with HTC Bootloader..no benefit from that even!
So, I can sense this is a BIG trouble now! Right?? Can somebody please help me in this?
Thanks in anticipation guys!
Cam you get your phone in fastboot mode? Maybe you can than use an official HTC RUU. To let your phone start again.
Then you can try to install pacman rom, see if the problem still comes up
EDIT: RUU downloads are here

Hey!
Yes I am able to Fastboot my phone and I tried installing the HTC RUU as well from the link you provided but still it stucks to the same screen and keeps on restarting every 10-12 sec.
The problem still persists, badly!
Please help..I really don want to pay extra bucks to service center for unbricking my phone.
i think you should flash a kernel, which compatible with stock before you can restore back stock rom.
R: [Q] HTC One V Stuck at RECOVERY MODE screen
You need to down grade your radio I guess , I'm on the phone now , search in general there is a guide on how to do it
did you try holding the power button untill it turns off (10 sec) then turning it on. when i go the recovery it says the same thing

Are you able to boot into boot loader mode..?? If yes from there move to recovery wipe everything and flash another ROM and kernel..+ if you want to move back to stock don't try using RUU method search for a stock ROM backup that has the same hboot and radio version as your phone...(if u are able to bootloader mode, there are 99% chances that you'll recover your phone by yourself..)
Good luck...
greetings everybody
root problem
hello...
1st ... i would like to say ... this is not my 1st time rooting an android device ... but here is the problem ... 4.2.2 firmware ...
~( i did success rooting 4.1.2 android for about 80 times on download mode counter without any problem )~
so ... as much tutorials i've tested
1: download odin, cwm
2: turn on the usb debugging
3: boot mobile into download mode ( vol down + home + power key )
4: open odin as admin from pc
5: press pda and pick the cwm.tar file and hit start...
6: after phone reboot and odin says pass ... try to boot into cwm using ( vol up etc... )
ok ... here is the problem...
after "6" i suppose to be able to get into cwm but no ... i cant ... it always boot into the normal recovery instead of cwm.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ok ... here is what is really weird...
download mod shows this just right after i finish flashing cwm to my mobile :-
current bin: costum
system status: official
- which means that cwm success flashed.
and after trying to boot into cwm but fail and it boot into normal recovery :-
download mod shows this:-
current bin: samsung official
system status: official
- 0.o
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
in general ... my problem is after success flashing cwm to my device ... it del or ignore it and it boot into normal recovery instead.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
any help would be great...
thx 4 your time reading this topic ... i will be checking it everyday...
hope someone help
