Search for the latest saber kernel. You should be able to find it
Under original development section. It is probably the best out.
Only for touchwiz ROM though!!! i came from galaxsy s3 as well.
Not that many choices on note 2 side. You will find that out very quickly.. If you
Like touchwiz run tweaked 2.5 ROM. Or you can't go wrong with any Jedi
ROM....

Look at the original development thread. Additionally there are others that work well. Your options for running with stock TW are going to limit the functionality of the kernel. I personally run Tweaked 2.5 and am happy for the most part. WIFI calling is important to me
PBJ is popular and pretty much turn key. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38156007
I currently run devil kernel and am quite pleased. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239453
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement

If only I know how to port,
You guys have so many options to choose from, we only have like 3 or 4 to choose from and they are all TW
Hoping the wondering devs here can port like aosp, aokp, cm10, 10.1. Or even miui
It will be greatly appreciated!!

It would probably be better to ask your devs to port those roms. Since they know what files would be needed.

Hey studying up on this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411 may be a good place to start. Naturally since this is a att forum the files to be inserted would come from an att ROM but I don't see why it wouldn't work if you substituted T-Mobile files in place of the att replacement ones wouldn't work. It will open up a bunch of tw based ROMs but it'll give ya a good learning experience for one day working in aosp if your interested in it. Hopefully some more people interject on this because I think it would be beneficial to all of our forums to get this solid.

it's coming, the family is working on something, but it is TW based to start. dunno where it'll go from there, but there will not be any barf green
cooking a rom / theming ports etc take time and we all have lives outside of xda. patience is rewarded

In most cases your modem is not effected by flashing our roms. You only flash a modem if you loose your data connection. Im not sure about kernels but I dont think that would effect anything either. Not on tmo so can't say fir sure.

People with TMo have been flashing CleanROM just fine. I can't speak for the other ROMs, but I'm pretty sure they're all on the same base...which isn't even an AT&T base
Ya I'm on clean Rom

Something that works for me might not work for you.
Fun part is trying them and see what suits you.
Dont wait for others and make a list yourself.

A better question for op is to post what parts of the phone you use. And ask what roms would fit.
Blue tooth. Hdmi. Stylus. Note taking / picture editing (fast or not)
Etc...
I love the stock setup. Just not the bloat. I jumped on jedi. Love it tried cm10 which I love (from my old samsung infuse 4g) but it is missing too many pen features for me.
The best option honestly is to try them all. See whats missing that you cant live with out. You almost always give up something.

I'm with everybody. You really gotta test it out the Rom which suits you. If you like the stock looking Rom with awesome add on features and killer battery,I suggest to try the clean Rom for AT&T. You won't regret.

Yes. It does. HERE. For most of the Galaxy Note models here at XDA.
If this helped - please tell others. I've been doing the same for the Desire HD since that was released too.
I'm a little busy, so I can't get around the forums that much, plus I don't want to over spam.
My favorite Rom after trying Jedi X, Clean, Jelly Beer, and CM10 would be Jedi X if you want something as close to stock with a few added cool features. You don't lose any S Pen features and the toggles are perfect for me IMHO.

Clean rom fan here as well. Love it. Love the extra toggles and configuration of them. Teathering is enabled. Pre-rooted and deodexed. AT&T bloatware is removed, but the option to install them is there if you'd like to retain some of them.
I like clean rom you can use it as a base for more mods and make it your perfect rom, I used to love paranoid and cm10 on my note 1 but after using the note 2 cm10 and paranoid quite frankly blow balls compared to stock jellybean or a modified version like clean rom, jedi or even miui which has s pen integration
In the end its what you like so just be safe and try some out to see whats best for you
The best roms are Scotts clean roms. Ever thing works. Go to development section to find them there.

THIS! I love the CleanROM 4.0.5 so far. And the dev gave up sleeping and social life to develop multiple ROMs for the Note II in parallel. Give him some support!
Well now that iv flashed about 10 roms here is what I think. Clean ROM is nice and close to whole as your gonna get. What I'm using now and I'm really loving is Jelly bam! Yes I'm missing s note and a few other small things But what I'm able to do with this is worth it! Jelly ban is like the best of all ROMs together. I'm so in love with how I customized my note 2!

Hi guys I'm coming from a galaxy nexus on Verizon and getting a note 2 on at&t come Tuesday. My question is which ROMs work perfectly with the at&t note 2 and by perfectly I mean data is good. I just look in the at&t dev section and see that it has a few roms and was hoping we can use other note 2 model ROMs. Thanks.

I myself am using AOKP from the t-mobile section running the k7 modem and everything works great.
I had to run the fix in the general section to get the sensors fixed (brightness, rotate) but it is now working great and battery life is awesome.
Your best bet is to search the applicable ROM thread to see if the developer says it is ok to flash on the at&t model.

You have a couple choices, AOSP and Touch Wiz. This is the forum for the 889 so any ROM is compatible. Flash away!

Id say start off with the jedi master series first, stable builds with great features. Great dev support and great user support. Alot of things to explore and customize. Im on jedi x series, which is an international build. I lose wifi calling on it, but no biggie for me. I flash other roms from time to time, but i always come back to jedi.

Tweaked is quite amazing. Jedis are both awesome. For AOSP, Vanilla Rootbox. My personal favorite is Tweaked. It is not nearly as popular as the Jedi series but check it out you won't regret it.

The description says that you have to have the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100, just wondering if it works for my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 2 T889. Im going to attempt to root my phone for the first time (or for ANY phone EVER for that matter) and would like to try this one out since it's the closest to the stock phone. Also, I seen alot of roms don't support the s-pen or true multitasking so this would help tremendously.

No it won't work for the T899. If you're looking for something close to stock, try Jedi Master which includes wifi-calling. If not having wifi-calling isn't a problem then I suggest Jedi X. Best way to find out what is best for you though it's to flash ROMs and try it out
