Phone changes to settings by itself - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

I have an issue with my phone that when everytime I enable/disable Wifi, turn on/off data, or try to connect to GPS the phone would go into the settings app by itself. I'd go back to the previous app I was in and it would go back to settings again and this loop would happen for one or two more times before it stops
This happens everytime and I'm getting really annoyed. Any help would be great.

Are you stock? Stock rooted? Are you on a custom rom?

The first thing you tried was a factory reset, I'm guessing?

Back up your data, do a full wipe and reflash the rom, if the problem still occurs find a different rom or try a earlier version of the rom.

Freeze on restart

I did the offical ICS update when it came out but it was always a little slow responding, i had read that doing a factory reset would help so i backed everything up with titanium then did a factory reset, i then restored all data and it helped, but now when i either restart our turn off my phone it freezes at the goodbye screen, any ideas?

It had no problems with restart after the ICS update, used it since it was released, I did the factory reset today and now it freezes.

Both wont hurt. Make sure use use TDJ's cache wipe to properly fix permissions too.
Use Darkside Cache Wipe and it will fix the hang problem.
Thanks Atmazzz, ICS now is awesome. I am still thinking about trying Darkside Evolution, I just wish the YouTube update was smoother.

Not able to sign into my Google account

I'm on the Sprint GS3 and something weird has happened when I flashed two completely different roms that has never happened for as long as I've been flashing Roms dating back to the Samsung epic. I flashed the Avatars Rom and the Liquid Smooth Rom and as I went to sync my contacts I put my email address and password in and it said "could not connect to server". Any reason or fix to that problem.

Are you on WiFi? Might be either a signal drop or wrong password, but I can't think of anything else other than a weak data connection.

If you have wifi, use it. If not, Odin back to stock and start fresh. Sometimes between flashes certain things stick and u just don't realize. I flashed from one TW rom to another with a full wipe and a lock screen setting stuck thru it.

Same problem here. Tried different gapps, signing out of Google account, reflashed ROM, cleared play store data. I haven't even flashed anything in almost a month.

Needed to install gapps for the Avatar ROM that's why it wasn't working. For the Liquid ROM its the kernel; I don't know but my phone wouldn't reboot after flashing the rom, the fix, gapps and kernel.

Try restoring with Odin to stock unrooted or flash a ROM to see if that works it might be some corrupt files or your WiFi radio just decided to go bad

I will try that only thing I did was root the device and installed twrp recovery .

go back to a 4.3 rom. 4.4 is relatively new and not even officially supported by our phones. And by 4.4 i assume you mean the cyanogen mod 4.4 rom. That is also really new and is going to have plenty of bugs for a long while

I think you can restore to a compatible ROM, back up the most recent messages you want with SMS backup and restore, then go back to cm and restore. Like the guy said above me, this ROM isn't even for our device and its brand new so there will be some bugs.

no cellular signal on my note 2

Hey I need a little bit of help. I was running jlmancuso's Verizon port on my note 2. My phone decided to reboot itself and it got stuck on the boot screen. I got tired of waiting so I used philz recovery and formatted my device and loaded the Rom back on my phone. When it booted, I lost all cellular connections. It still works on Wi-Fi. I've the the ##scrtn# code but it doesn't work. I've called Sprint and they tried to help me reprovision it but they couldn't either. I tried to restore using Kies but my phone won't connect. I have returned to stock with Odin but still no signal. Please if you have any advice let me know. Thank you.
Same problem here with the same situation!
Those fixes require a sprint rom most times. Flash community rom or chaz's classic 4.4.2 and use your dialer codes there.

I have tried those codes with the stock Rom I loaded with Odin. Nothing works. Although I did get a signal for about 10 minutes when my phone was charging running your Verizon port...
Odd. When you go into setting about device status is your phone number/esn/etc correct or showing unknown?

It's all showing unknown. I'm not that worried about my phone, I have insurance through Best Buy so a new one will be in Wednesday. I just don't want this to happen again.
Yes it is not a huge issue and should not be very hard. I would suggest flashing the current community rom (has modified hiddenmenu.apk) then run the dialer code that resets phone and starts hands free activation.
