Only thing I've seen is over in the Apps and Theme Thread there is one where people post their splash screens, and one of the splash screens is bright red with an HTC logo and it matches the red font from the screen and thus makes it disappear once you flash it.
right here is the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2453339&page=3

I actually immediately unlocked my phone after buying it on Monday. Does this red text appear because of beaups S-OFF method or did people get this also when using HTC unlock?

I didn't have the text when I was unlocked/rooted and S-ON. I am pretty sure everyone gets this text once they S-OFF (which I did).
Darned if I can remember where but there's another thread where this came up and someone said the text could be removed. Had to do with editing stuff in hboot? Not sure but the implication was that there's a way to do it. I wish I could find it, though.

there's an hboot editing app that does it but the plug in for verizon htc one has not been ported for it yet.
Isn't it auto applied when you unlock your boot loader? That splash lasts 5 seconds or so. Is it bothering you THAT bad? Lol

I'd get rid of it if I could (and if it wasn't too much trouble). It looks cheesy.

Ya it isn't that big of a deal but if there is a simple way to get rid of it I would do it.
If only we could get someone like @scotty1223 to make us a plug for this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786498
it would be REALLY cool!
no pressure Scott.
I know large risk of brick, and I would make the plug-in if I knew anything about hex editing.

we need to find someone willing to make it as if they mess up just one letter in the hex editor you could risk bricking of the phone, so the first person, "tester" would be a brave soul, but if we have a legit guy working on it or has made one before I think we will be ok.
It was a lot of fun playing with it on the Inc4g

the text is always there,s-on or s-off,when you install a custom boot, system,or recovery image.
if you fastboot boot recovery to install superuser on the stock rom, then the text may not appear.
im not sure if there is a flag somewhere that is set(like tampered, locked, etc) or if hboot itself is actually checking the signitures of the partitions it expects to be stock.
Nevermind. Misread.

He will be making us one I hope. Just hope it don't matter if on .8 or .10 software .The hboot # is still 1.54 so we'll see.

What is this thread?
This is where steps will be tried to get root on the device
What should be posted?
Steps to try, steps tried and failed, steps that worked
What should not be posted in this thread?
If your post doesn't have anything to do with root then you may ask in general, we will not help get adb set up or anything else, there are thousands of threads all over the interwebs that tell you how to get adb working and this will not be one of them.
So now that we have devices in hand and we have a few devs on-hand as well we can really get into this.
I will update this post later with tried methods and failed(and why) but for now we have some simple rules.
If you want to test, fine but share any and all details
We do not have someone in charge of root as several that are working don't have devices(myself included) and so we may just post steps, if you try the steps be sure to quote the steps tried and post results of each step(errors especially)
Once root is achieved provide pics and what you did so we can replicate and verify
Anything done on the phone is YOUR fault if you think that what you are trying could cause issues and you are uncomfortable doing the steps provided then stop and ask questions.
Standard disclaimers apply, if your phone is broke then fix it, we will try to be helpful if it was caused by our steps but the end result is if you brick it then it's your fault and we will note it as a step not to try again.
Hope this is helpful the rest will be updated below this later when I have computer to work at
Yea I preordered mines so it should be n by the oct 6 day(my brithday )
But yea I want root asap once I get the phone ill be up to trying a few things to help out.
What's mainly needed? A system, boot, and recovery dump?

Give me some clockwork. I want the process to be easy like it is for the Vibrant. **** only took 2 seconds to root.
If I do acquire one.. how can I be of help?
The slides method should work. It works on all newer htc android models so far. we'll just have to wait and see really.

I know we won't really see clockwork on the G2, I'm just wishing here. lol
Either way, I just want this to be easy.
odin was for vibrant, adb will run on any OS so long as you know how(put ./ in front and run the command or just make sure that the adb binary is in your path) i plan on trying the adb method tonight, just need a build with root to test with
Hopefully I will be able to test this theory out tomorrow when I receive my device

Many can, but for best purposes, why? You can have a lovely rooted, stock version that I believe they just updated. Otherwise look at qbking's vidoes on Odin/Heimdall to stock. No real reason to, unless you plan to sell or repair it.
When was this update?
And lately i havent been receiving any texts and was worried that it may have something to do with being rooted? idk..
and i know nothing about rooting/unrooting so when the day comes and i have to use my warrenty, id like to know how to unroot it.

Check the dev section, but not receiving texts may be an issue way easier than going back to stock. Also, be sure to state anything you've played with that makes you think it could be attached to s/u status. Lots of people will be happy to walk you through a variety of things that won't make you lose all your data.

Did you flash a Rom after you rooted? What instructions did you go by? Be aware, it's 12:33 here and your questions may get differred to everyone else until morning. If you're on certain main Roms, you might be able to easily flash to either a new Rom or theme with little effort. This is where it can get tricky though and retracing your steps out loud will help people walk you to what you need until you get more acclimated to searching and "shopping" for what you what in here. remember your thanks, donations and verbal support, people like to help here

The Root is right. The word "brick" is used too much. I can only remember a couple of people actually bricking a phone thus making it useless. 95% of the problems can be fixed with Odin. I didn't know a damn thing 6 months ago. I had to Google "rooting your phone." Now I test ROMs,themes, and kernels for developers. I could never go back to stock now. Rooting really frees the phone to make it your own. Flashing ROM's, themes, and kernels is easy and if you have any questions, there are people like me that are glad to help. Also, qbking makes great videos if you are a visual learner or want to see the process before you do it.

If your in Amon_RA recory? Search the creator name and you can hear it from him, unkown bug that he has not had the time to fix it yet, the pixelated gets worst as you flash newer ROMS.
Trying a updated version Recovery can help, but make sure what you chane it too is compatible with the ROM's and always double check OP's for updated material.
Flash/Installed ten Roms already and still going on Amon_RA, but I don't have proof that the ROM nor the recovery is the cause of some issues on the whole system to aact irracticaly.
Last but not least, you have not done a full search? Use the search bar makes it easier for you to find answers already asked?

The first is a succesful implementation of the v6 supercharger script, which at the moment has to be run manually. That's because there's a bug with SManager Script Manager that only effects Samsung devices. I'm in communication with the developer and that will hopefully be remedied soon.
The other is what I'd like to ask all of you about. It's regarding CWM Recovery.
My impatience has google repeatedly bringing me back to the same article on how to root/cwm GT-I9195.
Namely, this link: http://www.andromint.com/root-install-cwm-recovery-samsung-galaxy-s4-mini/
Now, my phone is SCH-l435 (Verizon). I'm already rooted. Are the odds good that CWM from GT-l9195 would work on my device?
Talk me down, wisers. Talk me down.
No

Sorry if I seemed rude but my girl was asleep and the dang keys were waking her but I didn't want a potential brick of sorts to occur as I read the post in its freshness...

I would ask @Phil3759 in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463322
If u can provide him with some info about your phone maybe he can help u out
Follow what fburgos did for I9192 and do the same
Don`t bother him on PM just mention him on that topic and wait patiently
If anything I've been working on it since last night, took a nap and I am back at it today, either way it shouldn't be long from now
Thanks, both of you. I'll check out the links as well this weekend.
As for your effort to get it going, wow ... you've got my gratitude!
Let me know if there's any way I can help. I'm not a developer but I am programmatically tech-savvy.
