There was this news on german blog about some of the devices now being allowed to unlock, but does not include P6.
See: http://www.huaweiblog.de/allgemein/huawei-entsperrt-bootloader-fuer-y300-und-g510/
But there was this comment on facebook.com/Huaweidevice that makes me think any device they would allow unlock:
Hi. For bootloader issue, please send your IMEI code & contact detail at [email protected]. Our team will help you as soon as possible. But It'll take some time and please wait for us. Thanks for your patience.

Try emailing them. Even though officially they did not list p6, they might yet give it.

First of List I'm waiting and hope that someone in here will be making a CID unlock so that an English ROM can be flashed on it when the English(WWE) version of KS20 comes out.
Thank you in Advance
Me to man,
I`m still waiting for the same issue...I hope it will be possible soon...
I'll join that list
Still waiting to receive my German version, and I hope there will be a CID unlock and a WWE ROM out soon
Pffffffff
I REALLY hope it comes out soon because if I have to use my KS20 in French for much longer, I'm going to puke
Then let's keep this topic active and hope someone with the right skills comes along and helps us
I'll hopefully get my German KS20 on Thursday or Friday and I'm already looking forward to flash it with an English ROM
I'll join the waiting list

At least a ROM. But maybe they have to have a KS20 themselves. I'm not quite sure what it exactly takes to make a CID unlock.
website unlock LG
Who can try unlock LG KS20 from this website?
http://discountunlock.com/Unlock/LG/KS20/By/IMEI/Operator/5827/
I am trying to unlock another mobile (backberry 8800) found in a taxy in new york with this website. I will have my unlock code on 9 jan. So i can give you a report at this date.
I think operator unlock is not the same as cid unlock, this website provide operator unlock code which is not the same as cid unlock (as far i know).
I am also interest for unlock my new KS20 so may be i will use their service a second for this mobile too.
LG KS20 community need someone to dump the ROM of this mobile phone.
That could be great if someone with good skills can perform this operation.

Why? You need someone Who can hack/replace the Bootloader, or set USPL/JumpSPL, talk to Pof, OliPro etc..

I decide to send a mail to GSM Factory (discountunclock.com), to know more about LG KS20 unlocking, it seems that (even the mobile phone is listed) the unlock codes are NOT available at this time if your operator is SFR.

Has anyone know the link to request the bootloader unlock code for Z2F ATT? Motorola seems to refuse giving me the code. The upgrade site returns ATT Z2F to "remain Oreo". I dont have ATT account, it's a bit hard to connect to ATT.
Thanks.
You won't get a recent AT&T Moto phone bootloader unlocked. Same with Verizon. It doesn't matter who you ask.
If we don't request, they'll never give.
After the news about Pie not coming to the Moto Z2 Force, I emailed Motorola customer support to request an bootloader unlock for my AT&T model. I even provided the long alphanumeric string from ADB needed for bootloader unlock. I got the following response.
Thank you for your email about unlocking the bootloader of the XT1789-04.
Please see this link on how to unlock the bootloader https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a
You can see the list of devices eligible to unlock the bootloader in this link https://mobilesupport.lenovo.com/us/en/solution/MS87215
You may also post a message in our Forums about unlocking the bootloader of your device. Our Engineering team will reply to your message. Here is the link https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Motorola-Community/ct-p/MotorolaCommunity
If any time that you will need our assistance, please feel free to get in touch with us. We will always be glad to help you. We're always trying to improve so you may receive a survey after this email. The survey is very short and we appreciate any feedback.
Thank you for choosing Motorola! Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Motorola Technical Support

Yesterday I posted my request on the Motorola/Lenovo forums, as instructed by Motorola Customer Service. Today my thread is gone. I guess that means my request was declined.

I just got a steal on a very old stock (like early day 1 release) moto z2 force att variant at the store where I work. It's aparently been sitting in the storeroom all this time lost in inventory. It's certain to have very early firmware. Is there anything I can try re firmware-style exploits to unlock it's bootloader? I'd be willing to play guinea pig since it's not my only phone atm...
Hello guys
I´ve been looking for a way to do it, and I have only found things about the European version and older posts saying it could be done, so I´m not sure if it even possible as for today
Can somebody explain me if the process can be done?
Thanks a lot
I've realized before LG stopped supporting the V30, the damnned LG G6 US997 USA unlocked could be the last G-Series to enjoy unlocked bootloader & root, I don't know why the European variants getting bootloader as soon as the newer flagships are launched! Before buying the almost useless G710ULM, Last year the European G710EUM is costlier than the ULM. Since I was on a budget, I could afford the ULM "sigh"! Even the latest European LG V50 & the LG G8 is bootloader unlocked!

Yes, it can be unlocked and rooted. As far as I know, the instructions have not made their way to XDA, and XDA doesn't allow linking to the Telegram group where they're posted. Just Google for a Telegram group for the LG G7 ThinQ and look for the instructions posted there.
Unlocking isn't without some risk, though, since it involves temporarily overwriting the bootloader with another one, but it reportedly works.
So I dug up the instructions and the associated files this morning, but before I pull the trigger on this: will LineageOS builds work after the bootloader is unlocked? Obviously they're tagged for the EU model in the other thread, but I figured I'd check and see if someone tried this already.

Tried to DM you the link, please let me know if that worked! Otherwise you can install Telegram and just search for LG G7. Should pop up right towards the top.
Any new info on this? The G7 hardware is great so I would love to put lineage or some form of aosp on it. Couldn't find the telegram link though, so I would greatly appreciate it if somebody could send it to me. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I actually have the US unlocked model (lm-g710ulm) which does not support official bootloader unlock support from LG. I have heard a few people saying that there are unofficial methods of unlocking the bootloader and I wanted to give it a shot. Any new info is appreciated
