I ran across the universe trying to find some way to run sketchbook pro for tablets on my galaxy note 2, i find it irritating that the phone version is so limited.
I tried adjusting the build.prop, and even the dpi settings and ui with paranoid android but it never looked good, things would still overlap and not function.
Then i found out how to rig it with an xposed installer modification, and since i still didnt see it around i figured i would write up a guide to share with everyone.
This was tested on stock rooted 4.1.1 and stock rooted 4.1.2
Note you will need:
1. Root
2. The sketchbook pro for tablets apk (i used titanium backup to transfer it from my nexus 7).
Steps:
1. Download the xposed installer from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
2. Install xposed installer apk, open it and click install/update, reboot your phone.
3. Install the appsettings apk from http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/microdownloads/xposed-app-settings.5/viewfile
4. Open xposed installer, go to modules, activate app settings, reboot the phone.
5. Install sketchbook pro for tablets (i got the apk after i bought and installed it from my nexus 7, i will not post the apk file.)
6. Open app settings, find autodesk sketchbook on the list and push it.
7. Turn the switch on the top to on, change dpi to 213, and hit save.
Run sketchbook pro for tablets and enjoy.
The ui will be a bit small, but everything should work, and nothing but the pallets should overlap. Pics attached of sketchbook pro running on note 2 screen.

I just figured out how to do this my self today and was going to post the same instructions. Works like a charm. I do not get any overlap with pallets.
Nice! I've been searching high and low for this.
However, I'm not rooted, and really don't want to do it just for this. I don't know much about rooting and really I don't need much of the benefits you rooted guys have.
Is there a way to just install this without rooting, for instance following this:
1. Buy the Pro version on a tablet (I have a galaxy note 10.1 and it works great there)
2. Download and install Astro File Manager on Tabet
3. Go to Astro>Application Manager (on tablet)
4. Locate SketchBook Pro
5. Tap it and select "Back UP". It will create a copy of the of the apk.
6. Email, bluetooth, dropbox, etc, the apk to your Note 2
7. Locate with with Astro App on Note 2 and side load it.
Has anybody tried to do it that way? I have a very stable Note 2, besides the Amazon AppStore app, I have never side loaded any apk and I don't want to mess up anything by side loading anything that is not compatible.

This will work, the app will run. The only problem with this method is it runs on the phones dpi, as such pallets and toolbars are scaled up and overlap and dont fit properly.
Same thing with Paranoid android's dpi settings, just never changed it right and things would overlap.
Thus why i rigged up this method, so that things wouldnt overlap and so everything was usable.

Well I tried it this way and I got stuck on step#5. The app is locked and I cannot back it up on my tablet. Well too bad, I guess I'll have to wait until autodesk makes the app compatible with the phone

Never used astro, if you don't want to root try carbon backup from the play store.
Otherwise, can't help you much if you want to follow someone else's directions, lol.

Hi guys,
I got a very nice logitech k810 bluetooth keyboard, But every time i connect it to my phone it switches my input method to the samsung keyboard.
Even if i set swiftkey to default. It's quite irritating..
Does anybody know if i can disable this? Or maybe which service/package causes this then ill make an xposed mod myself to stop it.
Thanks!

Thanks for your response. However i just finished writing a mod to solve this issue at the root of the problem.
PS: Would anybody be interested in me releasing this mod?
It will stop the switch to the samsung keyboard when either using a bluetooth or USB keyboard or an dock.

I will compile one tomorrow. You will be needing the xposed framework, if you don't already have it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
Manipur,
First install the xposed framework i linked it in my previous post.
Then install my mod (It doesn't matter if you switch these two around).
You should get a popup that my module isn't active (If you don't get the popup open the xposed installer application and switch to the modules tab)
"Enable XposedFreeInput"
Then reboot, Now when you connect an external input device is shouldn't switch the input method.
Let me know how it goes.
Tasker
A less elegant solution is to grab Tasker and have "Disconnect from BT keyboard" trigger an input selection popup.

Hi so sorry... Been busy a bit.
I wouldn't want to change my settings as of now. What I basically did was install an apk called keytest.
I already had external keyboard helper pro installed. I just remapped a few keys so that the keyboard doesn't change to samsung keyboard. On top of that I also added a keyboard map for the physical menu button so that I can launch it anytime I require.

U know what... I was slightly not comfortable installing the Xposed framework, because I don't have cwm recovery installed. My note 2 is just rooted using CF-Auto root method. So I can't basically make a nandroid backup. I used this method so that I can get OTA updates now and then by disabling root.
But the pop up to change to Samsung default was pretty irritating. I've tried using tasker to create a profile, but I couldn't assign the parameters. I took the risk of a bootloop and took the plunge, installed Xposed framework and installed your Xposed free input...and it works great. Now I don' t have to change my input method everytime I connect my wireless keyboard. Thanks to you man.
Sorry for being a little chicken hearted.

Cool thing about xposed is that you don't need CWM, Just root.
However i do understand your discomfort, I rooted my phone 2 days after purchasing it. The thought that i might wreck a quite expensive phone within 2 days (while voiding my warrenty) wasn't a pleasurable one indeed.
Anyway glad the mod worked, Now at least i can say it has been officially tested
Just stumbles upon this thread while searching for a solution to this annoying problem with input method switching (I bought a BT keyboard yesterday). Scalee -- thanks a lot for the module! I already use Xposed for a lot of other stuff, so that was a no-brainer for me. Just another proof that you can find pretty much anything here on XDA. If it's not here, there's a good chance it doesn't exist...
It works. Thank you so much!

Probably but i can't be sure, you could just test and see if it works. If not just remove the APK no changes made.
Must be transferred as a system application? drawer does not appear on any application icon, is this normal?

You need to install the Xposed framework for it to function (and to enable it).

Tried it on a samsung s4 with android 4.3 (rooted).
I had to uninstall it as it was causing 75% of what I type to be lost unless I slowed down to no more than a character or two per second.

Something got really hosed. Uninstalling XposedFreeInput and rebooting didn't restore the keyboard. I had to go back to a nandroid backup to fix keyboard input.
I don't really mind the samsung popup -- I just hit return on the keyboard twice to get past it. What really made me crazy was that samsung would reset the soft keyboard to their own instead of swiftkey. I ended up using tasker with security settings / system+ / input method to keep it set to swiftkey.
This App fixed it for me, but it needs root.
it fixed my problem, that the bluetooth keyboard would not be recognised from the SwiftKey. Now I can easily switch between physical and touch keyboard - Nexus 4 v4.4.2

So I have a stock unrooted Note 4. On TouchWiz I have two widgets, Galaxy Apps Essentials, and Galaxy Apps Gifts, both of these widgets take me to a page showing some apps, and then there is a see more Galaxy Apps link at the bottom. Clicking that link takes me to Samsungs App store. I can not find an App just for the Galaxy App Store though. Is there suppose to be one? Is there a way to get to it that I don't know? On my Note 10.1 2014 there is a Galaxy App store apk and app installed that lets me update these apps.
Going to the Samsung page to download the APK like I found elsewhere, there is nothing there for my phone.
Any ideas? Right now I want to use a non stock launcher, but that disables the widgets to get to the store.
As you indicated, you likely have to be using the stock TouchWiz launcher and place the Samsung Apps widget on one of your homescreens. At least, that's the only way I've been able to access the Samsung app store.

Seems weird. Like I mentioned, on my Note 10.1 2014 edition tab, there is just a Galaxy App store application that I can run. I tried to install it on my phone.. bad idea.. So is the only way to access the app store literally through a widget? That seems bad, cause I don't want to waste a spot on a screen for a widget....
The Note 3 had an apps store shortcut in the app drawer. Don't know why but they only included the widget on my Note 4. I believe that with the Note 4 Samsung has begun de-bloating their mobile devices and I'm guessing removing the shortcut is a result of that.

Yeah, Verizon strips the Galaxy Apps shortcut out of all of their Samsung devices. You can get to it through the Galaxy Apps widget, or by tapping the three dots in the upper right corner of the apps screen and selecting "Galaxy Essentials".
Or you can download the full version of Galaxy Apps from http://apps.samsung.com/jupiter/mw/apk_en.as
Once downloaded and installed, you'll see Galaxy Apps displayed with the rest of your apps.
I have a huge problem with my galaxy note 3. When I am browsing Reddit and tap on a link I am almost always prompted to input what app I want to open and if I want to make it default. I have clicked always a bazillion times but I still get prompted with other link tap. It is super frustrating., What can I do to fix this. I do have T-mobile with the latest 4.4.2 build (stock).

If your using Chrome your gonna need to get the support plug-ins via play store. As for default browser don't know work around. The link for play store below. Let me know how it goes.

PS you can thank Samsung for the issue ?
I recently upgraded from my note 4, where I was using the MW-pen app enabler. I didn't need to root with the use of this app, as the only thing I ever wanted that root offered was the selection of what multiwindow apps I could choose from.
With the note 7 though, looks like the app doesn't work, so I'm stuck with the default list of note 7 pre-approved apps to multiwindow. Does anyone know a fix/workaround/app that will work for this so that I don't need to root again. I'm getting too old for this, said the cop in that cop movie.
