2 bugs on Xda - About xda-developers.com

Hello everyone
I faced 2 bugs on xda
First,login problem
Remember me never worked since i register xda. I'm using google chrome ( cookies enabled ofc . ) but never worked
I have to navigate some pages for auto login or have to relog again
Second problem is double post
There's a problem with post system, when I sent post to forums. It tries double post and I get "you have to wait 19 second for .."
Thanks everyone, please quote my answer,so I can follow my thread

What theme are you on (bottom left)?
XDA 2013 beta 1024 is the best right now, the others experience some of these bugs at times.
They are being worked on.

Awesome, glad that worked.

Hi,
Did making the above changes stop the double posting aswell? If not, try the following and it'll work as a workaround :

Instead of doing a Quick Reply, click Reply on any post of the thread you want to post in. Once the text box shows up, you can get rid of all the quoted text and then post your comment.
This should then only post your comment once. It's as if it tricks the system by thinking that you're replying to someone. Therefore, the error causing these issues must lie with the Quick Reply option.

Account not adding subscribed threads

I don't know if this is a problem with the xda app or not. But when I reply to a post or even create one I am not being automatically subscribed to it.
Could a mod or admin of some sorts check out my account. Or have I done something incorrectly.
Thanks guys.

I think you need to activate something in your control panel buddy.

I +1 the op...
Even if I reply to posts on the site, I don't get auto-subscribed...
I have to manually subscribe each post from the app...
And I checked the options yesterday...everything seems to be in place...
(Even I was about to make a thread )
Typed using a small touchscreen
If you set the default subscription setting under Edit Options to something other than Do Not Subscribe then autosubscribe during reply or new thread creation should work.

That's the weird part...
After I had setup weekly notifs, I hadn't touched it since...
But from the last week, all of a sudden, I don't get auto-subscribed...
When I (re)checked the option, it still is set to weekly notifs...I toggled it to "no notifs" and back again, but still no solution...

Same here, thought it was just me, will raise this wih the folks upstairs.

Same here as OP. About a week ago, auto subscriptions stopped working. All of my settings are normal, and unchanged. I have it set to subscribe with no email.

Thanks. Glad I'm not alone here. Nothing has been changed in settings from me.
Maybe it has something to do with the new XDA 2013 theme?

That was my initial suspicion and the first thing our server guru asked about.
The issue has been raised and if he gets to the bottom of it I'm sure he'll pop his head in here and let us know.
Thanks for the heads up.

Testing thread subscriptions
Just wanted to confirm, this is just on the XDA app since the update? I tested via web and the notifications seem to be working normally.

I'm assuming this is related to app development?
I think you'd get a better response in the general Q&A forum mate.

I was just about to post a new thread about this. Subscribed threads have always worked for me. I never use the website, always the app. Since like last week, it stopped subscribing me. Someone, fix this!

This happens on my account, ever since I got it (which was a few weeks ago). It does not auto-subscribe to threads I reply to nor to threads I create; and, yes, in the options, it is set to "weekly notifications."
And, when I do subscribe to threads, it does not respect my notification type (instant, daily, weekly). I have it set to weekly, but my Gmail account is getting spammed every day dozens of times (popular thread, haha).
~Ibrahim~
I gave up on it for now and I just use the XDA app with Latest, Participated to see every thread I have been on. I don't have any threads where I just read and never replied once so I don't miss anything this way.

Oh, that's nifty; I hadn't seen that on the app! Thanks!
--UPDATE--
Well, I think it's actually working now. I'm subscribed to this thread and a new one I just made, without doing it manually. Oh, and I realized why it wasn't respecting the notifications: just setting it to "Weekly" in options only do so for new threads, not old ones. Now I changed them all to weekly, *fingers crossed*!

The good-ol' fashioned way, ie, through my browser?
Or is there a way to do that from the XDA site, such that when I log in all my reference threads are in one place?

I was able to subscribe to a closed thread just now by clicking on the Subscribe to Thread link on the top of the page. I am using the XDA2013 theme.
I've started subscribing to threads I actively use instead of flicking through participated section instead. This is where a problem has arisen.
I don't want notifications from these topics cause my phone won't shut up otherwise, so I set them to receive no notifs yet I have them come through instantly anyway. It happens the same on both my S2 and my Xperia S, so that leads me to believe that it's a problem with the app. Anyone know if there's a way to sort it out so I don't get notifs from them?

Cannot subscribe to a certain thread
When I click subscribe in a thread I get following error message: Our records show that you have already registered under the name of cptberlin. If you have lost your password, click here. If you would like to modify your profile, click here. But the sidebar shows that I'm actually logged in. When I try to repeat I get rated as there seem to be too many requests from my browser. Sorry but I cannot understand all this as I'm quite new to all this.
What can I do?
Thank you very much in advance!

That worked perfect, You would be amazed after Google searching it 100 different ways I couldn't find it. Just hand swipe and power and home buttons.
Tip of the cap to you!
For emojis I found that they are blank but if u keep scrolling over in the big blank box u get ⓢ emoji ❇◼▫⬆↕↗➡↖⬅⤵✖✔✴©™®♨✈Ⓜ✔⁉↪
---------- Post added at 03:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:56 PM ----------
Edit...also just updated to the 13th build and there is more emoji... ☝ looks like there all their u get my point and obviously u can't see most of them here it makes the question mark. Remember to go into language and keyboard and go to keyboard settings/dictionaries/ add on English emoji

I've been having a lot of issues with iwin so I reverted back to virgin ROM running 4.3 it is more stable right now but the main reason for the switch was my SD card couldn't be read on the kit Kat ROM but thanks for the idea. Happy Thanksgiving

[Q] CM 11 - Back button doesn't work

Hi guys, I've got a problem and I'm posting here because I do not have privileges to ask it in the right thread in dev section. Anyway my back button isn't work with the last release of 11.30.2013 of CM 11. I think it is just a problem of mine. Do you have ever experienced something like this? Thanks
EDIT: I'm on Maguro

My guess is that you flashed GAPPS directly after flashing the ROM, without letting it boot first. Or I could be wrong.

Sometimes I also have the problem, but only sometimes... clicking the back button seems to solve the problem.
I have installed the same version. My only concern now is that when I send SMSes I always got sent messages displayed twice (it seems they are sent only once anyway).
Does this happen to you also?
Thanks

Strange. It will not load the forum for me.
I'm now using the XDA one app. Which is good.
Bit I use multiple forums and would like to have one app for all.

Lol. Damn auto correct.
Should have said now.
Now I'm happy again
@Valiceemo
Ah, that makes sense. That's exactly why I have AutoCorrect off 100% of the time!
I see this every time I go to XDA in Tapatalk. This is just one of many issues/complaints I have with the latest update.
Same problem here...
I see all my usual forums okay. And can browse our search for new ones. But how do I get tapatalk to show me all the blog posts? It used to be an option in the drop down selection box but that's now all the forums within xda instead.
I've been fumbling around with it since the update. Tried to install my backuped version but that was a no go for some reason, it would just hang.
It seems to me to be a problem since the last update. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Frustrated!
I've got the same problem : no access to XDA since 2 days.
I've tried to delete and recreate the forum into tapa. But no way.
And then, I've noticed that there was an app update, from 4.6.2 to 4.10.1 on the market, with probably change of Google Play signature.
BTW, that would explain I didn't receive any notification for this app update.
So I installed the new one (new design, new UI) and it works now.
Strange behaviour from Tapatalk company...
Okay for opening the sub forum just click the Xda-Developers on the top screen.
---------- Post added at 07:39 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:26 AM ----------
Screenshot for more detail
For those who can't connect, try reboot the phone/Disable then enable the wifi/data connect.
Still same problem ?
Use the xda app (couse tapatalk use multi forum)
Already tried those solutions but no way. Tapatalk guys definitly changed their app. So uninstall and reinstall is a working method (at least for me) [emoji3] .
I have a few general questions regarding Tapatalk and this looks like the perfect forum to ask (so I'll just ask)...
I participate on a lot of different forums (as most of you do as well) and right now I'm just using the stock browser that comes with CM11/M12 on my GT-P5113 and see a lot of signatures advertising "Send from OnePlus One using Tapatalk".
So, my questions are:
Is reading/posting easier/better using Tapatalk (better than using the stock tablet browser in desktop mode)?
Is Tapatalk supported by all forums (forum software) and how do you know?
If Tapatalk is not supported by a forum (forum software) what do you use to read/post messages?
Thanks.
