[Q] advice needed on kitkat 4.4.2

hi guys
how do I install the kitkat 4.4.2 beta ?
as in does my phone need to be rooted ??
also how do I get the google apps afterwoods
and are there any risk's in bricking the phone ?
one more thing how do I go back to B125 afterwoods

Just read pls..
Never need root if you use offical or original test firmware.(Only if you want another region rom flash (BRICK warning!) )

ive seen the kitkat beta rom I think it is on here
and they are mostly on about routing the device
(hence why I don't want to do anything and brick the device)

this is the rom ive seen would love to give it a go but scared id brick the device somehow (being a total newbie when it comes to flashing Huawei devices)

Yes You Can Flash Using dload Method. No need To Root And Kitkat Beta Is Safe To Install No One Has Reported Bricked Thr Device Flashing Kitkat.

No Root Need You Have To Flash TWRP Recovery for That. That Is Also Void Warranty But You Can Reflash Stock Recovery When Ever You Want And Your Mobile Become Stock Again.
Can I Ask Whats Your Problem With ROOT?? Root A Mobile Is Not Dangerous.

Its just ive never rooted a phone and wouldnt know how to begin

Make sure of several things:
1. Put the UPDATE.APP in a dload folder on your sd card.
2. Make sure the sd card is formatted as fat32.
3. Make sure that no USB is plugged in while you try to update.
4. Make sure that you have more than 50% battery.

Advice: put dload folder on internal memory.

Okay let me explain further when i upgrade to firmware b125 or b111 i put the UPDATE.APP in the dload folder on my sdcard and it upgrades but when i try it with the kitkat beta its says sd card update fail

Like I said: move the dload folder with update.app to internal memory. Might help fix the issue

Hi i need help because i have the exact same problem, and ive tried to pu it in the dload folder in the sd card and in internal memory still says sd card update fail

CWM recovery not able to install .zip from the root

i'm running on trinity vengence rom with the tux kernel......now when i'm trying to flash some other rom the recovery says installation failed due to error in .zip file
where as i have installed them before also and here is a screenshot of the error....
plz help me guys...ireally need it....

Which ROM are You trying to install? I think You would need twrp to flash thoose ROM's.

i am same problem
first, i flashed cm 9. İt worked good.
then, i want to install another rom. This time, its failed.
after that, i decidet to install cm9 again. But i didnt success. İt was error: status 7
İ still have this problem. Please help.

You probably have a damaged .zip. Re-download.

thanks for advise, but i havent see sd card of phone. so i cant download any rom to sd card.
(i can see sd card on screen of phone. when i open cwm.)

Cant see your sdcard? Have you tryed a file manager from playstore?

Flash stock ROM then via flashtool.
Edit : @entermetallica He is not able to access His sdcard on PC while being on cwm.

[Q] How can i sent a Rom to my GPE via Fastboot

Hi,
i really mistake by testing things with my V510 GPE.
Now there is no OS, no Backup and the device is not listed under ADB. The only way, i reach it, is via Fastboot.
So i need a way, to send a rom via Fastboot to the Pad.
I'am only able to send Images like TWRP or stock recover.img and so on.

Install twrp, and install a ROM on your. SD card using your laptop. Boot into twrp and install ROM. Make a backup

Yes there is.
It's on top. You can also use adb sideload.

Thank You, i really don't know that there is a SD Card slot, because I had only Nexus Devices before.
ADB is not working, the only answer on any adb command is : device not found.
But now there is one more serious Problem : the Pad don't charge any more and it's complete empty; does anybody know what to do ?

Try flashing a new rom with sd card, that might solve the problems.

How to do with a Device without power ? Nothing happens, no Recovery, no Bootloader, nothing.

I was just wondering if this is the HTC Sense 7.0 or if it is just stock android. If it is stock android, will there be a Sense 7 ROM (if such a thing exists), and when will it be out by?

Will be unroot and wiped.
And it's sense 7,you can update the launcher in playstore...

I downloaded the rar. file and put it in my sd card, then I went into TWRP and clicked on recovery and external sd card but there was nothing there... :'(
Do I need to wipe my system, data and boot first? Even after wiping, it still could not find the file...
Also, after restoring the backup, will by bootloader still be unlocked? Can I root it again?
One more question: Does Android 5.0 still have the Ext. SD card write issue?

Download this and unzip zhe file，put folder under SDCARD/TWRP/BACKUP/XXXX，then go to recovery select the restore file

My ta-1068 , will this zip work on it or all 6.1? I am downloading it now. I found it on this website. I will attempt to install it to verify this is legit

I can confirm this works on my ta-1068 had to factory reset to get in to boot though
