there is no such feature

ok sorry I missunderstood you. The feature that I am using is, that if I press the volumebutton, the whole menu pops up, so I can easily adjust the ringer and notification volume

Explore the Sound menu in Settings. Or do a search

[QUESTION] How to block or remove the ringtone volume control

Hello,
Does anybody know how to have only the SYSTEME volume control, and not the Ringtone volume control. Often I miss some phone calls because, by mistake, ringtone volume is too low.
Is it possible to have always the ringtone volume high ?
You could try to edit some regkeys, but I'm not sure if is possible to fix your question through the registry.

Wow this advice really helped , I used a regedit app on my HD and went to the directory you said , then I saw an entry for 'DefaultPage' . I changed the value from '1' to '0' and now whenever I press the volume key , it changes system volume , thank you very much
Excellent tip. This has improves the HD's functionality a great deal, as I don't now accidently change the ring volume.
This should be added to the Wiki tips!!!
Excellent! I lost my .cab for this but so its not much more dificult.
Thanks

Volume Control

I was wondering if any of you have a link to the Volume Control app that comes with the Mega GSM dialer. I don't want to use the dialer for it's limitations and will stick with the stock dialer. All I want is the volume control so that I can control both ringer and system volume with one finger gesture.
Thanks

geomun,
thanks much. Works like a charm.
I am using the latest NFSFAN Rom(6.5.1) and in the screenshots he shows an interesting dialer with round black/white number buttons. Is that part of his ROM because I didn't see it when I Installed v16 and now 6.5.1.

Toggle between 'silent mode' and 'ringer' ?

Does anyone know how I can toggle with the endkey between the profiles 'silent mode' and ringer?
With the endkey is it possible to toggle betwwen vibrate and ringer, but I would like it to switch between silent and ringer.
Any register tweaks?
Here's a tip that may suit your purposes.
Press any of the two volume keys once to bring up the volume control. Let's assume your current volume is at 10 bars. If you tab "Silent" it will obviously go into the Silent profile. If you tab "Silent" again, the volume will be restored back to 10 bars.

try this:
settings --> personal --> buttons --> end key
can set it so holding down the end key toggles between vibrate and ringer. bingo
that is not what he wanted at all...the best bet to do this would be to use mortscript and write a script to do so and then map that script to a key using this program:

it may be a different way of going about things but Peter1706 asked how he could "toggle with the endkey between the profiles 'silent mode' and ringer". I presented a way of doing this.
all i was saying is that he wants to toggle between silent and ringer, not vibrate and ringer...going through the settings way will only get vibrate and ringer

I've tried this already, but I'm a little confused: when I set my endkey with a longpress to emulate a key press of the volume rocker (so that I have the window so I can choice between volume, silent and vibrate) , the original short press (Home) doesn't work anymore. Maybe I do something wrong?
But the thing a want most is just with a long press of the endkey to toggle between silent and ringer.
Maybe it's possible to adjust the vibrate mode? So I can put it in settings to toggle between ringer and vibrate and adjust the vibratemode to a somekind of silent mode? (set it to no vibrations)

I've read the thread about MobileMUte, but it's seem to be written for to mute a phonecall?
MVTogglesound sounds very promising, but I have to to subribe to this site in order to download the program. The problem is; the site is in Russian and I don't know how to subscribe?

tnx for all your help. I've tried this rightaway, but it doesn't seem to work? I've followed your instructions, but it still toggles between ringer and vibrate instead of between ringer and silent?

Vodafone (the Netherlands)
k...i forgot to ask that question before i started making this...im taking it that this is a gsm device so try this one out and see what happens...uninstall only the other silent_ringer switcher.cab (leave the sdkcerts.cab installed) and then after it resets, install the this one and then reset again...hopefully this should work for ya...
I use the Keyboard Config tool with Vibraswitch for my PTT button, works like a charm.

Problems sending picture texts and question about how to remap my multitasking keys

I am runnining this ROM:
[ROM][4.1.1][GSM][PRIMOU]Android Open Kang Project Jellybean
and it should be the 10/8/12 build.
I cannot send picture texts (it says "downloading" and then it doesn't go anywhere no matter if wifi/data are on. How can i fix this?
Also, i find the jellybean multitasking button useless if it doesn't bring up the multitasking apps instead of having to hold the home button. How can i remap this?
Also, if i were to re-rom my old stock rom can i still upload a kernel onto it to make it overclocked? Also, is the music app found in CM10 because on this rom its missing, i had to use a 3rd party music app to get this done.
Please help me with my questions, all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sound Profile Change from Notification Pull Down - ?

I do not see the ability to change my sound profile: sound , vibrate, silent -by pulling down on the notification bar shortcuts...
Is that a possibility in Nougat ? If so, how.
I have an old widget called "Silent Mode Widget" that I can place on my home screen, but have somewhat gotten accustomed to just pulling down from the top of the screen to make the change... Thanks in advance for any tips on this one.
Just found this. swipe down to open quick settings shade, pull down again to access more quick settings, and then you'll see "do not disturb", that has the sound silence settings in it. If you hit edit you can move it up to the top row if you want.
I see that, but that is not what I am referring to. - That is for a period of time for "Do Not Disturb" - It is not the volume toggle button where you have three options for "Sound, Vibrate, or Silent" which is what I'm looking for...
I was looking for the same thing and found a free app that adds the toggle - works great:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.quicktiles&rdid=com.cgollner.quicktiles
If you want some more toggle options, there are other apps as well.
Volume Slider LIKE 'Brightness' Slider would be perfect!
I wish there was an app/tweak that would allow one to install a volume slider like the brightness slider in quick settings that did not require all sorts of other development tools and a desk/laptop! That would be perfect. And again, like others are saying it should have come with the OS.
The real question is, how do we edit the more in depth sounds? Like with my s7 edge I could control the volume of system sounds, ringer, media, and notifications. How would we do that on pixel I can't find any setting that lets me do it.

I use Volume Butler from the Playstore it works great! It also separates the ring volume and the notification volume. Very easy setup.
