[Q] Baseband/Download Mode name incorrect - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi I know this is my first post on here but i have been researching and havent been able to find anything on it. I sent in my gs3 to squaretrade and recieved a replacement one today. The model says GT-I747 on the back. So I started the phone, rooted it and installed cwm using the toolkit. I went to go install CM10 when it gave me a getprop error. I thought this was wierd so I installed a different 4.2.2 aokp rom and it worked fine. I started up the phone and realized i wasnt getting any 4g. only up to H+. I went and looked at the baseband version and it says T999UVDMD5 which i know is the tmobile version. the model number still said SGH-i747 but i figured that was just because it was an i747 rom
I thought this was strange and was like oh well ill just go back to stock and start again. I went into Download mode and noticed the product name says SGH-T999. It may have said that before and i didnt notice but i did this time, Any time I try to reflash anything with odin it gives me a
Complete(write) operation failed error. Whether im trying to reflash the baseband or back to a stock rom i get that error. On the phone it says SECURE CHECK FAIL : aboot
i also tried flashing the i747 modem in cwm from one of the threads on here which just made the baseband unknown in the settings with no reception and such. I tried multiple modems with no luck. the only way i was able to regain reception was by flashing another T999 modem through CWM
as a last attempt I installed a Touchwiz rom through cwm to see if it would sync through kies. It said my firmware version wasnt supported for update via kies. when i go to software upgrade and initialization it says 'SGH-I747' does not support initialising.
Im stuck. Please help

[CDMA] Can't Activate Phone

So I recently attempted to flash CM10 to my phone and I think it royally screwed everything up. After messing around with JB for a bit (no working data) I decided to flash back to stock and stay there for a bit. Well, once the flashing was done, I attempted to activate my phone, and it kept failing. Tried re-flashing just to be safe, and it failed again.
I then tried restoring from a nandroid I had, hoping it would restore service like it normally does. But it didn't. It showed my phone as unactivated. I was still unable to activate my phone. D:
I looked in About Phone > Status and my MDN and MIN were screwed up. My phone number displayed as "000-000-5472" and the MIN was all 0's. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.
Might Help
I also did the same thing a while back when i tried out the UK Firmware and when i flashed back with the stock Verizon firmware it erased my phone number and a lot of other stuff but here is a link from a while back explaining how to change your phone number back it worked for me but i never got my 3G working right some info will be different I have the C Spire R800x.

Good Luck
U need to flash the baseband to stock baseband as well as the firmware, and re activate your phone
Happen to me when i flash new baseband and kernel to my R800x
Can't activate since the prl was not loaded properly and i can't get through activation process (ics glitch)
End up flashing to stock, re-inject and activate. Then restore the new ROM via nandroid. This way the phone stay in activated state.

When you flash a baseband before installing a rom, activate your phone on the stock firmware first, then install the rom. Same happened to me but I couldn't see the numberpad.

[Q] Network Issues Data/Call/Text

Good Afternoon everyone,
I've been experiencing issues with my Mobilicity S3 T999v.
I recently removed root from the device, and am having issues with the network service. It connects to my service provider koodo, but nothing works. When trying to connect manually it just times out forever.
I have verified i have an IMEI, via *#06# , the phone worked fine before the unrooting. Ive attempted flashing stock firmware a few times now with odin to no avail. Could this be baseband related?
If it makes any difference i used Mskips toolkit for all the rooting/unrooting. Device software still says modified after triangle away.

If you are looking at your baseband version through the settings on your phone, the baseband version is the same for all versions of the G Pro, even though the actual files are different. If you flashed it through CWM and it didn't come up with any errors it should have flashed correctly. Make sure that you flashed the right modem file. Has anyone told you that your voice is muffled since you flashed the modem file?
well i had flashed the e980H rom and since then had complaints, i flashed the ATT modem and still had complaints from one person, then kept looking at details in the about screen and after multiple tries got paranoid in trying to fix.
there were no errors while trying to flash the same, situation seems better now, am enjoying the battery friendly rom but a little bugged why cant the rom properly update the modem once flashed correctly.

Unknown Baseband after flashing rom

Okay so i have the T-Mobile Galaxy s3. It has been rooted for a while with zero problems. I got tired of the older android on it and decided to install a rom. I installed Cyanogenmod 13.0-20151208-unofficial-d2tmo running android 6.0.1. When i first got it all booted and loaded with gapps, i noticed that it recognized my sim and that i had a signal but i couldn't use any LTE or just all around data. basically i couldn't go online (in case i just didn't explain that well enough. Phone service is a mystery to me). I did some searching online and found a lot of people saying that i needed to update my baseband. i found a baseband for my model (T999) and tried to flash it in TWRM. Once i rebooted, it said "No SIM card - No service." in the upper left-hand side. i have tried flashing multiple different basebands the same way with no luck. i tried backing up my EFS folder and the restoring it because someone said to do that and that just... just no... it didn't do anything. even Odin 3 said it was a "FAIL!". So here i am with this android equivalent to an Ipod and i hate this. Everything else in this ROM works perfectly aside from this but this is a super big problem. PLEASE HELP!!!! A phone isn't a phone if you cant even send a text.
Did you update the phone's bootloader and modem to the latest version before flashing CM?

cant flash any firmware on my verizon s9 running latest firmware

ive been trying to flash different firmwares on my Verizon s9 (sm-g960U) running CSK5 firmware. I wanted to try the U1 firmware but kept getting a fail in odin. ive tried the latest odin, modded odin and modded odin by raymonf. all failed. Odin gives no reason why it fails. It normally gets to setup connection or initialization then just says fail. every few times it will make it to fail - auth - write. i have even tried flashing the stock firmware thinking itd go through since everything matches. Not even that worked. still fails. any idea whats going on? ive never had this problem before on my past galaxy phones. any ideas?
never mind. i swapped USB ports and flashing is working as it should now. thread can be closed
