I would like to ask if anyone successfully got HD Voice working on the Galaxy Note 3 (T Mo version)?
I have a HTC One (T Mo Version), with the same SIM, I can make HD Voice call without problem on HTC One.
At the same location, same SIM, I can't seems to make any HD Voice Call to other T Mo subscribers.
Please help.
So no one else is having the issue? Is that just my phone?

I don't know anyone else on TMo, unfortunately, so I can't test this myself.
Thanks for your reply. I am now trying to get a new one from TMo and see if that resolve the issue.
I tried that *#0011# method as indicate from other forum on the Note 2 to "activate" HD Voice and that doesn't work.
I am very skeptical, I feel like that's more like a software issue on Samsung.

I have a HTC One before and when I call my friend who has the same phone on the HTC One (on TMo), it sounds VERY VERY clear.
I am not sure how can I describe it, but I will try.
It is almost like for "regular voice" call, like when making a call, if the other end is not HD Voice compatible, it is like AM radio sounding, and the HD Voice is like you're listening to FM radio.
It is pretty obvious, that's why I notice it when I tried to make call on the Note 3.

HD Voice only works on T Mobile Network connection. WiFi Calling does not have HD Voice.
I got a 2nd one, and still no HD Voice. I pop the SIM back to my HTC One, and HD Voice is working fine. (Calling from the same location to same person)
I am tired of troubleshoot for T Mobile and Samsung, returning the phone tomorrow and back to my HTC One. (sad to see the smaller screen... haha)

I believe it does an account check on initial use. it requires you to be on mobile data to start the app the first time, and then after you can stream via wifi if you want.
installed this on my hd2 running android 2.2. it installs, and when i open it, it gets stuck on the magenta t mobile tv opening page and nothing loads. anyone else get this problem?
Edit: got only blank screen when connected to 3g. connected thru wifi, then ran program, got past initial page, search for updates, do you want to start trial, clicked yes, and it said i must disable wifi on first run, so i clicked disable wifi, and then it gets stuck in loading screen. so i get nothing in 3g, in wifi, get somewhere but sent back to 3g. anyone else?

Is there actually a Wi-Fi tether app that works for our phone? I've tried Wi-Fi tether from the market, and other devices will connect to my SSID and "tether", but it will basically be a worthless connection because I won't be able to surf at all from the tethered connection.
I'm trying to connect my Nexus 10 tablet since I get great LTE signal here in Dallas where I live, but I can't make full use of it since no tether app works properly with our phone...any help is appreciated!!

Lol, dude...I have been on XDA for more than ten seconds. I know how to search. I've found and already looked through that thread. There is no real answer there other than what I already mentioned about changing a lot of settings for a possible solution...which still didn't work when I tried.
I'm not looking for some smart assed answer about searching because I already have...extensively. I'm looking for someone who might have found an app which actually WORKS.

Here's the settings I used to make Wifi tether from the Playstore to work. Remeber either WIFI or the Wifi tether per reboot.
1.Change device profile to - Generic ICS/JB (wlan0)
2.Setup method - Auto
3.Enable wifi-encryption
4. I changed SSID and my Passphrase
That's it. It's worked for stock JB and Imperium. Haven't tried it on Lifeless yet.
mine is on the Generic ICS/JB on wifi tether my SSID will show up but wont connect at all.

Is whatever you're trying to tether set to auto? Also, Wi-Fi cannot turn on at all after a reboot if you're on zvb. Try it on other things also to see if its the app, or whatever you're trying to tether.
Edit. Try going to settings, enable access control.
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda premium
When I had this problem (at&t model but probably the same issue), I had to select a different lan in the wifi tether settings. Either the arp cache on the tethered device still had old entries (since the default network is the same as my wireless network that my device had just been connected to), or it's just that wifi tether applies the wrong netmask. Right now I'm using the setting "10.10.3.0/24" which works, but in reality it's assigning a 255.0.0.0 (/8) netmask to the interface!
I have searched this, but there seems to be no unified answer lately, so I thought I'd give it a new go now. Basically, is it possible to do it?

MMS over WiFi calling works for me and I've been using it for a while now.. It even works without data being enabled, it shows the message that data is not enabled blah blah blah and that it will send once it is active or something but it ends up sending it anyway and I checked my sister's phone to make sure she received it and she did.. Tried it twice with the stock MMS app so maybe if you try using a different ROM

Check /system/app for gba-service-TMO-Signed.apk. You need that to send MMS over WiFi.

You can pull it from the stock rom and copy it to your /system/app directory. Make sure permission is correct then reboot and try again.
I'm just guessing, but Im thinking in some cases people who don't know what it does remove it thinking its bloat since it has tmo in the name.

This is becoming problematic for me, as I like to send pics often, but are always on WiFi at home and anywhere I can pick it up. Network indoors at home is spotty, but manageable.
If any of the files were missing from the rom, you could add them back in and reflash. Maybe they would make a difference then.

I have successfully rooted my SM-N900T Note 3 and have installed CM11/OnePlus One ROM and it's awesome. The problem I'm having is having a solid LTE connection. Before all of the rooting, my network was perfect. Now when I make a call, it throws my connection into "H" signal and it makes my call quality bad.
Any suggestions or fixes to this? Anyone is welcome.
P.S: I've tried manually setting up a T-Mobile APN and it's done nothing, so that's out of the question.

CyanogenMod doesn't support VoLTE yet. So when you place a call it drops to H...nothing you can do about it besides go back to stock rom.
