Slight yellowing tint in the LCD  - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

I dunno, it's just maybe I'm OC about these things, but when you set a white wallpaper in your screen and take a look closely at the bottom part of the phone, I think I see a slight yellowish tint. Anyone else experiencing this? :highfive:

Once i was running stability stress test with oc on charger on lg p990 and bottom of lcd was yellowish with dark brown parts. It dissapeared when the phone cooled down.

I have noticed such an thing on my HTC One V during the summer. Probably got overheated. Just let it cool down it's nothing to worry about.

What is the weird pale spot on my screen?

There is this strange pale spot on my Evo's screen. It is not a stuck pixel, and I am not sure what it is really haha. It almost looks like there is a tiny pin hole in the screen or something that is letting the back light escape. I have never seen this in a screen and am having a hard time explaining it.
Anyone know what I am talking about?
Take a picture so we could see

I'm assuming its brighter than the rest of the screen? If so its probably damage from pressure. It didn't crack the screen but it did damage it. I had 3 of them before I got my replacement.
Im not sure I will be able to get it in a picture but I will try to take one tomorrow some time.

Actually it isn't brighter but it seems like the back light is shining through or something. Ill get a picture.

Sounds like a hot spot from the processor. Is it in the lower right section of the screen?

Yeah, it doesn't really bother me. I only really notice it when the screen is bright white. I was just mainly curious as to what it was. My camera is still in storage apparently as I just moved. When I dig it out I will post a pic.
Just wanted to post that the problem I mentioned has been brought up by several others in the following thread. No picture required!

Guys look at the pic.when i watch video i am always getting these black spots. They appear only in black scenes.Look at the girls hair.how to fix it?

Problems with the panel itself aren't going to show up in a screenshot...
Lots of people notice/complain about these spots though, ever since the phone came out. Its just part of the inconsistency of manufacturing AMOLED screens. Some panels are worse than others. If it bothers you enough, ask for a warranty replacement.
the worse part of this phone..wtf!!

is this a common issue among the nexus? is it serious?
I cannot see what you mean, but I never understood why people complain about the screen of their gnex. Either I have a screen from a good batch, or I'm just not noticing what others refer to.

Common on any phone with an AMOLED screen. There are inconsistencies like banding, ghosting, blotchiness, etc.. Is it serious? Depends how picky you are.
It's common...
Mine looks like a severe case of chicken pox. Also have a terrible yellow screen, but ever since I installed a screen protector it seems to have fixed some of the coloring.

[Q] Yellow tint on new Note 2

So I got my new Note 2 today and after playing with it for a couple of hours I noticed a yellow tint when viewing white colors. Like if I visit a website I know use a pure white bsckground, I can see that there is a yellow tint.
The weird thing though is that if I slighty tilt my device, either way, I can see pure white again.
I remember having the same issue with my sgs2 too.
So my question is, do anyone else have this issue? Should I return it or what?

A lot of s3 have yellow on whites, i guess that some note 2s will have some yellow tints to some extent, seems Samsung hasn't completely solved the tint issue on amoleds...if you have a tint on your phone there is not much you can do, if u can try and get it replaced

How bad are ur AMOLED ink spots?

So if u don't already know pretty much all of our s3 phones have black ink spots on the screen when viewing a black background at night time or somewhere really dark. If u don't believe me download the LCD test, go to black color picture wait a few seconds for ur eyes to adjust and ur screen to auto dim in the dark.. and ull see a bunch of stains.
I'm just wondering how bad is too bad?
I have 2 curved lines down the length on the screen and a few other stains. I just want to have an idea if I should replace my screen with hope that I will get less spots or smaller spots than now.
Please post ur ink imperfections here..
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Probably like 6-7 q-tip sized ones. Maybe a little smaller.
=D I only have one spot that looks like some one stroked it with a QTip. Dead center in the screen.
Personally I'd rather have 8 of these marks instead of just one, DEAD CENTER OF MY SCREEN. Brings out the OCD in me.

Don't know and don't care, the phone works perfectly fine for me, no need to be all nit picky over small issues
I refuse to look, if I don't see it now, I won't notice it under normal use. If I do this and see it, I'll constantly dwell on it.
sounds like i got it pretty bad lol
i have about a shirt-button sized circle on the top center as well as a few other random little spots. Doesn't bother me though.
I don't have any.. let's see how many flaws my replacement has :\

That couldn't be more true, but some of us paid a lot for this phone. It's not an issue at all when you think about it, but once you do notice it, it becomes a psychological issue and it upsets the user.

Sent from my galaxys3 using xda premium
The spots are like backlight bleed. I don't think a tester will show anything...
I had this issue with my S2; the refurbished one had them everywhere. When I got my S3, I didn't notice a thing! Thanks for the awareness though.
***t screens.
just saying.
colors are nice, but at what cost. i would trade an HTC LCD screen for this one any day
What's so bad about the ink spots though? Since you can't see it when the screen is or off. Only when it's dark.

Titanium Grey Note 2 users. What color is your home button?

This is obviously a question for users with Titanium Grey version. But I'm just wondering what color is your home button? Mine is more of a dark burgundy color than grey. I didn't notice it when I first got my phone. But now I'm wondering that since I didn't notice it at first, and now I do notice it.. I'm hoping that the color is not slowly fading.

Mine is grey
At first glance, mine is grey. If I inspect it at close range, under a bright light, it has a hint of burgundy! (I've had mine for about a month, and would not have noticed this if it were not for your post.) Time will tell if it changes...
I am fully colorblind and have no idea. Colors are so hard for me to discern I dont even try anymore.

Under some lighting it does have a burgundy tinge to it
Last time I checked it was (still) grey...
Mine turns white if I stare at the sun prior to looking at it.
Is anyine else seeing that? (Seriously, don't stare at the sun, it can ruin your whole day)
