Hi guys,
After a successful bounty thread for the Amaze, and as a true lover of HTC phones and NRGZ Rom.. I would like to start a bounty thread for NRGZ for him to buy an HTC One X, so that he can bring his awesome roms to the One X.
For those who dont know NRGZ, he is an Elite RD (amongst 20 or so) and is a Senior Moderator and has been making roms for... well.. forever... here at XDA.
Link to his paypal
The target is USD 715 (approx).
NRGZ will keep updating this post as and when a donation is received for the ONE X - you are requested to comment on the message box while donating and also post here
Hope he gets one soon and we all can enjoy the greatness of his ROMS!
And just to confirm - NRGZ28 is aware of this bounty thread and has agreed for it to be open on his behalf!
Donations Tally
Phone cost - $715 - if someone know better deals somewhere, please PM NRGZ and we may get there faster!
Remaining - $640
PG101 - $25
Brienholst - $50
Please PM me your donation details and I will keep updating it.
I´m in!

You guys shouldn't be so quick to judge though. The TP2 era was a LONG time ago (as far as smartphone time goes anyway...). I've made a lot of Android ROMs on several devices since that time. I think about 12 HTC devices have ROMs from me and they're all quality work.

And.. what link?
Out of interest, what other devs from the sensation are looking to move to the one x? Did LeeDroid get his? Baad getting one? Are the virtuous team coming Across?
Edit: just saw LeeDroid's tweet, looks like his arrived

Clean?
I used one of his WM ROMs on my Xperia X1 many moons ago. It was full of unnecessary apps. Obviously he may have taken a different approach since then but...!

Wow never thought a Mod would start a bounty thread
Xda should provide devs with dev phones or give them a chance to "win" one.. like rootz often does..

Why not? Mods are still members who would like to bring good things to XDA
So as we all know the Galaxy S3 is due to be released this month and is the One X's primary competitor. Seeing how much support the s2 got in the development section, I'm starting to wonder whether the one X will slow down in that regard with development for the s3 being the main focus on XDA or do HTC devices have a good following?

No need to waste time with a useless reply. My question was a serious one since i prefer having variety when it comes to how i can use my one x.
Thanks for the effort...
P.S. if you look at the GNexus forums you'll see that there isn't much going on there compared to what there should have been etc.

Maybe he doubts the seriousness of your question because asking on XDA if an HTC flagship device is going to have strong developement section is like asking the Vatican if the pope is catholic.

Yup, One X hasn't been long and theres bunch of activity already in the development section.
SGS2 has crazy development support? Lmfao and my friend has it, he's too afraid to "root" and screw his device. Tsk Tsk, he's losing alot

Lol, I don't mean to be an Arsehole.
It's just you could have had a look around the HTC development section and then the Samsung Development section then come to your own conclusion.
Samsung has their Devs, we have ours, and a lot of the HTC devs have moved on to the one X, plus it's only been out 4 weeks and we're already seeing good development.
The only issue is not having S-off or kernel source from HTC.
Development will be fine, take a look at the other HTC phones. They are just as popular as the Samsung counterparts. Once S-OFF is achieved and kernel sources drop watch the place buzz.

Just have a quick look at the Sensation forum here. From a sales point it was less successful than the S2, but look at the number of actively maintained roms. Not to mention the number of posts in the top threads (68k on revolution for example ).
There will be enough dev interest for HOX for quite a while, but that's just my guess.

Hahahahahaha! Priceless! And also there are 1 BILLION chatolics on earth
I honestly think that the HTC is better! The camera blows the GS3 away.
And honestly when I saw the specs I was very surprised and disappointed, they basically used the same specs as the GS2 but with dual core and some silly finesses.
Ok the battery is large but the difference is not gigantic to 1800mah (HOX batt).
I WOULD still buy the GS2 over the GS3 as I do no see much improvements on the GS3... And if I own an HTC One X then forget about it.
I would just like to see the picture compression change on HOX and not be limited to 3MB.
Peace.
MOD EDIT: As of November 7th CoreDroid officially moved all its support to another site.
Due to repeated kanging from other Roms as well as needing CST paid version to obtain the latest version of the Rom, anything related to the CoreDroid team is not allowed to be posted anymore on XDA and is from now on considered warez.
This includes: Signatures, links, themes, as well as any work developed by the CD team or included in any Rom.
TL;dr: If you included anything from CD in your work, you have to remove it.
We appreciate your understanding on the matter in hand,
XDA Moderation team
For future use.
I must say this is the best Tweaks APP I ever used! Thanks Sergio76, this is very very promising! Will be included in AR HD in the close future!

I was just wondering..... Why is there such a delay with Official CM10 being ready for our device yet there are many varients of it in the One X dev thread?
Also, why can't i boot into a Nightly version of CM10 on my one x?
See below for my specs!
....more importantly, it's been two years since you joined XDA and why haven't you learnt to post Questions in the Q&A ...

Steven: Oh... whew. When the wind blew,
I thought it spoke.
Derrick: It did.
Steven: Oh shoot, then it is abundant?!
Derrick: A bun it is for where art thou

Steven: Thee words harvest rock 'n roll in

Derrick: To see thou face.

I may have been a member for over 2 years but I spend most of my time in the dev section reviewing Roms, instead of in this section which is full of sarcastic pricks!
because sense is too awesome
to be honest, I'm not sure. The problem with the nightly could be hboot? did you update? Have you asked in that thread?
And I thought the thread with the Nightly WAS the official cm10 by tbalden? wrong?

I think he knows that there is CM10 available for the HOX, as he said there are many variants. He is inquiring as why there is no official rom or official CM10. I honestly thought the tbalden version was the official one, though.
Either way, you could wait for the Domination rom to be ready(owain, very talented guy and has been working hard before releasing ). It has stuff from CM, AOKP and P.A(this one i'm not so sure about though) and the last version of the rom was awesome. :good:
edit:
the rom is 90% ready from what I was told and should be ready soon enough

First, mind your language. Secondly, I'm surprised someone who spends his time in the dev section asks this kind of question. CM10 source is out there. There is no official one. Anyone can come along and compile it. What OFFICIAL means is that CM supports it. UNOFFICIAL is for devices who aren't meant to get the port but they did. Thirdly, posting a question in the general section and complaining about getting trolled is like throwing stones at a beehive and asking why you got stung...lastly, I know QuantumFoam. If you think this is us being sarcastic pricks, you haven't even seen us trying. I end my rant.
I found some intresting files in sys/ directory that could help me in this project but i need some some comments about it and im not sure about that the front and back camera will have this feature i appriciate every help i get
The HOX has HTC's own image chip that is capable in taking RAW picture but i think htc f***ed it up again so the RAW picture mode landed in the Developer partition of the Device so now my Project is to implement it again. The negative thing is just the htc album has no codec for RAW Pics so you have to use a third party app then :/
Examples:
-Android_Camera 2
-sys/modules/rawchip
sys/devices/virtual/rawchip/rawchip0
*there is an other file im searching in the sys developer partition

Reserved 2

I still believe in HOX for Development
Sounds good but like many said HOX is not anymore * attractive device * for developers , we're lucky that we had great kernel devs and rom devs, infact we had best rom devs , sucha are richmond which made probably the most advanced sense rom ever in the history of XDA. Anyway the idea sounds good but requires some time , and by the time you manage to do it there will be only few left to use it or care for it.
Anyway i wish you all the best and best of luck into making this happen since i love my hox too much to sell it but still got me One.

I would love to see this, I always prefer raw from my dslr when I'm working in photoshop and would be really interesting to see it in Hox, and as some have already said, the Hox is nowhere near dead or old, it will be around for quite a while yet. Waiting eagerly

Believe. I've had the htc one but the camera sucks. I sold it..now I have the one x again. Just because it's newer doesn't make it super amazing.
As for x photos they are damn good. You want better go back to the dhd they were superb. I still think the one x takes cracking photos.
