Do not flash unstable roms. I usually wait for official stable roms and making a nand backup before doing anything.

Note for future: use the backup feature in recover before flashing things you aren't sure of.
The backup in recovery is referred to as a nandroid if you didn't know already, it will always bring you back to exactly how your phone previously was. This way you won't have to ever ODIN to stock.

I have an att galaxy note 2. I use straight talk and have been doing so for years with a lot of different models. I have had my note 2 rooted for at least 6 months with no problem. Yesterday I wanted to try a new rom. I downloaded crash rom and flashed it and when I rebooted it I no longer had a a signal and if I try to make a call it says it doesn't detect a sim. I have wiped everything and flashed a different rom and still no detection of sim. Please help!! Thanks!!

Which ROM you have installed? Have you tried to flash official stock rom again? If no, try to flash and see.
If you are on MF2 or ME6 ROM, then you might need to restore EFS backup.. Anyways, give us more details so that we can investigate futher.

Why? When I was an admin in a big forum like this, requests like yours never ceased to amaze me. This is a public forum, not a private messaging service. How can anyone else learn from any of it if its parts are deleted every time something's resolved!?!
It's a selfish request... in exactly the same way that someone saying they'll PM someone to privately continue the discussion, when said discussion is guaranteed to contain information from which others may benefit, is selfish. I'm not saying you're selfish, or calling you a name or anything like that. I'm simply pointing-out that maybe you didn't think it through before asking a mod to remove the thread. Which rom are you using? Check that.
Do you have Odin flashable stock rom? If not download that, then you can flash the whole rom with Odin or from there you can extract the modem file and flash with Odin. The process is not actually easy if you have never done it before. Or you can search for the specific rom modem which is flash ready and download and flash that. The easiest method would be to flash stock rom altogether.

I think I didnt make my clear, I meant what ROM did your phone originally come with, which modem or baseband version, do you know that? Was it international rom or country specific? The rom you flashed later didn't have the right modem version that is why you are in this mess, find out which rom your phone came with and then download that rom then you can either flash the whole rom or extract the modem file and flash that.

If you're not worried about data loss but don't want root, I'd download the Odin flashable 100% stock MDL tar from this thread.... and obviously flash via Odin. That would leave you at 100% stock state with the latest T-Mobile MDL firmware.
If you plan on rooting and flashing custom stuff anyway, just follow this guide. After that, you'll have root and a custom recovery from which you could flash any of the modified/stock TouchWiz ROMs or CyanogenMod or whatever other ROMs you wish.

Afternoon, all:
I flashed the M3 CM11 t0lte build on my AT&T GN2 (t0lteatt) at the recommendation of multiple people from the official t0lteatt CM10.2 thread. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, I can't get my phone to receive any mobile signals when I'm on this ROM. Ideas? I've seen recommendations to flash a different radio, but I'm not sure how to do this and I can't find any information on where I would find the radio.
Thanks!

Yes I am! From the official CM 10.2 nightlies for t0lteatt. Would you suggest trying to re-download it? When I tried searching for a signal, the phone would sit there for a few minutes with the searching dialog but never find anything. Is this what happened to you as well?

Did you make a backup to restore to? Not trying to be a smart a$$.
Just asking to see if you have a full backup to restore stuff that might have gotten hosed.

The first time I flashed, I was out of it and (foolishly) didn't make a backup, so I lost everything, lol. I've made a backup every subsequent flash, though.
EDIT: Oh, also, just to be clear, I flashed back to 10.2 so I could actually use my phone and everything works fine. Just the flash of the t0lte build didn't work well.

I guess my question is: how can I make the t0lte build work? I don't want to use KK but as I'm sure you know, there are no official CM11 builds for t0lteatt. Currently I'm running the t0lteatt build.

Unfortunately out of my scope. I had a wild hair a couple of months ago and starting learning how to compile. Got side tracked and derailed.
Just rebuilt my machine with ubuntu and virtualbox with Win 7. Working well, I can ODIN from within VB and have my linux build env.
Bounce over to the CM threads and ask the question or start searching. Good thing is your up and running.
EDIT: Great post here....

Not sure what sets the t0lte and the t0lteatt aside from one another possibly, the modem? I'm not sure, because I'm currently running Temasek CM11 v46.1 t0lte with no issues att note II. Even though it's unofficial is pretty smooth no issues whatsoever.
you wouldn't be using an app called Delayed Lock by chance would you? (any of you that are having problems)
UPDATE: Still nothing. I search for network and get the message "An error occurred while searching for networks" every time I try to connect. Also, I would post in the official threads but I don't yet have enough posts because the Dev forums require 10 posts but I usually don't have issues so this is the first time I've had to post on XDA.

Appears you really have a boner for this.....
Try adding
ro.telephony.default_network=9
telephony.lteOnGsmDevice=1
into your build.prop.
I think you may still need this lib file ... system/lib/libril-qc-qmi-1.so
You may have to pull it from your working CM. Just guessing it's there...
Try the build.prop edits first.

I am steel-hard for KK on my Note 2. I'll give this a shot, thanks.

This actually looks better; should this work out of the box or ought I use the same build.prop edits?
