[Q] Problem loading AROMA Marvellous CM10 ROM - HTC Wildfire S

Reposting this since I haven't yet received an answer. I hope someone can help me.
After much experimentation with different configuration settings for installing the Marvellous CM10 ROM, I still cannot successfully install with INT2EXT+, and INT2EXT is way too laggy to be functional. I keep getting error code "7" after tying to install with INT2EXT+.
Before flashing the ROM, I always flash Superwipe first. Is there anything else that I might need to do to beforehand to ensure a successful installation? If not, can anyone suggest a setup configuration that successfully installs the ROM using INT2EXT+?
Thanks.

Desire reboots every 10 minutes or so after installing custom ROM

Hi
Hoping someone can help. I recently rooted my Desire. I then installed LeeDroid and everything looked great. Then my phone rebooted itself and started rebooting approx every 10 minutes even when not in use.
I had wiped all data and caches before installing and made sure I had the correct radio version installed.
So I decided to wipe again and install the CM ROM instead. Exactly the same thing happened - it booted up into CM fine and then after 10 mins or so decided to start rebooting.
So I then restored back to my stock ROM and the phone was fine - no reboots since.
Has anybody else had this issue? Is it a problem with the phone or the ROMs or something else? I find it hard to believe it's the phone as it's fine when the stock ROM is running.
HELP!!!
Never had reboots like that, not on a single ROM. I followed everything as they suggested (ROM) thread. Check your radio version, if it is compatible with the ROM. Try a different kernel.

Sorry if i'm thick....how do i try a different kernel?
The radio version is compatible.
nobody else?
Serach for kernels here. Just flash them via recovery as the ROM. No wipe needed.
How do I know which one to try? Also, will this affect getting my restore back if it goes wrong or does my backup include the kernel?
Sense kernel for Sense ROMs, AOSP for non Sense ROMs.
Nandroid backs up the kernel as well. Which to try? I suggest the latest Neophyte 1000mv, because:

[Q] Boot Manager app Discussion

This is a thread where people can discuss what is working and not working for them for the boot manager app. I will begin by asking if anyone else is having problems using bootmanager with the magnolia ROM. My next question would be is anyone else having a problem not being able to turn on wifi for miui if its put as an sdROM? The only roms that really seem to be fully functional are CM7 and OMFG. What ROM are most people using for the phone ROM, and what roms do you have working fully as sd card roms?
I haven't had much luck with the Boot Manager so far... I can make the backup of my current rom (Miui) and try and install the zips of other downloaded roms and get almost all the way finished and then I will get an error message.. So I have given up and thought I'd wait for an update and see if that may help.
Got Miui Working fine.
After some work and reinstallation I was able to get miui working on the sdcard ROM, for boot manager. I will keep this updated if I notice any more fixes.
A quixk suggestion would be to clear them and reinstall boot manager and restart your phone, after doing that and reinstalling the ROMS on ext2 I noticed they worked/ installed, when they wouldn't before.
After getting the hang of it I have been able to flash any ROM, kernel, nightly or whatever. It's awesome, I think.
I do everything to the phone rom slot through regular clockwork recovery, as if the app didn't exist. Then from the phone rom I flash everything else to the other slots. I always go back and boot into the phone rom before I flash anything to the other slots. Not sure if that's right but it has worked for me.
It would be cool if you could restore an existing nandroid you had into one of the slots but I don't think they are formatted the same. Not sure.
Can someone explain the method of how to perform the setup?
To setup, run the "setup phone rom", which only takes a few seconds. What this does is make a copy of your boot file in case you screw something up. Once this is done, you can install up to 4 different ROM's on your SD card and then boot into them from this same program.
If something gets screwed up along the way and you cannot boot your phone, boot into CWR, install a zip from a file, and find the update.zip in the bootmanager/phonerom(or whatever ROM folder you want to boot) folder.
Currently I am running MIUI, TSM pool party, TSM gangbang, Skyraider Zues, and newt's 3.0 port.

[Q] S-Off/Rooting/ROM Questions for Virgin Mobile HTC Wildfire S

Hi,
I recently purchased the HTC Wildfire S from Virgin Mobile and would like to root it. After reading some great tutorials put out by you guys, I'm fairly confident I can successfully root my device. How ever I have a few concerns:
1. Is my device the HTC marvel, marvelc, or marvelct?
2. Are there custom ROMs for my device?
3. Can I remove the bloatware/re-partition the internal memory without a new ROM?
Thanks ahead of time to those that help, and sorry for taking up your time with n00bie questions
EDIT: Also do I need to do anything to my bootloader just to root? My understanding is that its only necessary for changing ROMs.
Marvelc or a510c, there are custom roms and modified roms and roms that are being built like cm7 for the marvelc, check out the development forum and see whats crackin
HTC Wildfire S (VM) "s-off" "rooted" Stock Rom
Thanks I will take a look over there. When I started looking I saw a lot of people saying there are only ROMs for the marvel
No theres ssrom, simonstock rom that rom is sweet! Check it out
HTC Wildfire S (VM) "s-off" "rooted" Stock Rom
Can I get links to these? I think I found the SSROM already but glanced over it. I will revisit that one. As of now SS may be the only ROM I have found for the marvelc.
Thanks again guys
Just wait a little bit, some are being built
HTC Wildfire S (VM) "s-off" "rooted" Stock Rom
I have the HTC Wildfire S from VM, rooted, CWM 5.0.2.6, S-off, and when i try to install any custom rom, it will install fine then ill boot it up and it will be at different points during the bootup process animation screen where it will freeze and restart over and over. Sometimes it will get to the lockscreen and freeze there. The only rom that hasnt done that so far is the CM7 alpha. I have tried to install: .sense, jmz, and team marvelUS rom for the marvelc, and still not able to do anything. Has anyone encountered this problem and fixed it, anyone can give me anything extra to try? i have wiped data/factory reset, wiped cache/dalvik, and battery stats, also tried not wiping any of those. The custom stock rom still works fine if i install it.

Did u make a partition before trying jmz and teammarvelusc? I haven't tried .sense yet but I know that at least on jmz u need at least a 512mb partition or u may encounter some problems. Also, what hboot do u have? U could also try formatting /boot to see if that helps. Could also be too high of a CPU oc. Cm7 alpha is set at 600mhz, jmz and teamusc have their kernels oc'd to 806 by default if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for your quick reply! I did try the partition of 512mb and just in case a swap of something too haha. My hboot version is 1.06. And on the processor speed that makes sense. Is there a way to change that in the rom before I load it or do I have to luckily catch my phone before it freezes?
There may be a flashable stock kernel out there for marvelc, if anyone would know it would be Simon or insink. There should be one around this forum somewhere I would think.
You could also try m1ndh4xr8's kernel, its oc by default but I've had good luck with it.

Well I did install that kernel and it actually worked with stock rom, but my wifi now says error haha any ideas. Btw thanks for the clues on the kernel I may just use that one with other roms and see if that works. But any clues on the wifi?

Try this its made especially for marvelc

Or check out ROM Manager for flawless ROMs
Well problem with jmz is that it keeps my phone on a reboot loop. And rom manager I tried but it never worked for me on any of my phones for installing roms haha but I did download the rom and installed on cwm.
help
does anyone know where too get the offical img files for virgin mobile usa. like kernel, recovery, system and so on.
No I couldn't find them from VM I found the stock rom on the forum I believe but don't remember where. I still got it do u need it? The rom has the stock kernel in it obviously lol

Ya i remember encountering that problem back when there wasn't really any support for marvelc. I attached the 2 kernels i have on my sdcard that i know for sure work completely with no errors. Copy them to your sdcard, then the first thing i would try is boot into cwm, wipe cache and dalvik cache. then flash the attached m2ndh4x8r kernel, as thats the one i currently use. See if that fixes your wifi problem. If it doesn't, then do the same for the attached jmz kernel. If neither of those are fixing the wifi issue, then u will need to install a different rom. When i first bought my phone and was on stock, the wifi didn't even work at all, till i rooted and went custom.

Flashing JB Roms causes bootloops

Hello guys!
As the title says, I keep on having boot loops after flashing any custom JB Roms (Jedi, LiquidSmooth, CM Nightly, Slimbean). I'm not new to flashing roms (I got LG units though, SU660 and KU5900). When I tried flashing ICS Roms, I don't have any problem. But I want JB that bad!
I followed KonstantinKeller's thread of restoring/recovering from a bad flash (going back to GB), rooted following Melvin's thread. Then did all the prerequisites..like the common wiping of data, clear cache & davlik. But then again after flashing JB roms listed above, I keep on having boot loops!
What did I do wrong? This ain't my first time flashing (first time on this phone -T989- though)
I read some posts with almost the same problem, but I don't think I found a solution for this. Any good soul that can extend their help is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I got a bootloop before when trying to flash JB roms and what I did was restore to original state (using the bad flash recovery technique), and then not rooting it but installing cwm through Odin and dirty flashing the Rom in cwm. Once it flashed I used it for a few to make sure that everything was working correctly. Then I got the goo manager app and got twrp. After that I followed all the steps in the OP (Jedi jelly) and flashed the Rom. Now I'm running Jedi jelly 3.1 perfectly. Hope this method helps.

are you using darkside scripts to wipe? because they will cause bootloops

is there any way to reverse the loop that the darkside wipe is causing?
it REALLY sounds like the recovery u are using is TOO OLD. Make sure u are using the latest version of twrp (2.3.3) to flash all jellybean roms.
TWRP is backwards compatible and touch capable, so if you're worried about flashing GB or ICS ROMs it'll do the trick just fine
it is however a requirement for flashing all 4.1 ROMs.
Basic install instructions:
make sure u have root
download goo manager from play
open > menu > install open script recovery
agree to everything, but make sure t989 is in the downloaded image name
reboot to recovery u should see twrp

[Q] Rom flashing installer always stops :S:S

Hey guys!
I faced with this annoying problem today. I successfully rooted my phone then made a backup with twrp? or smth like this and then I could successfully install myonev rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647052 and then the titanium-kiss kernel as well.
Everything worked like a charm until I wanted to install a new rom. I moved the rom's zip file to the sd card then wiped cache and then tried to install the new rom, tried with bluesense and with suprimo too. When they started to install the rom they always gets stuck and the buttons appear which says next and save log. If I click on next it says that it successfully installed but its not true. And I get this problem with both of the roms.
I tried to do factory reset as well. I tried to do everything like in this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1996665
Please help me.
