Hi again,
Just been reminded that when I power up my phone I get an email saying that the SIM has been changed to 353375055129661 this appears to be Ireland
Can anybody explain this behaviour?
Cheers for now,
John

Dude,
Macaffee has an option to advise if the sim has been swapped or not, you should be able to turn it off, so long as you know the security pass code.
But I would uninstall it and get Dr web, much better in my opinion.

Cheers for that.
Phone now rooted thanks to vroot, and Mcaffee uninstalled

This has been discussed a lot but mostly during the 2 weeks before I got the phone. I didn't know what to search for and when I did try searching I couldn't find the right topic
I'm on rooted stock using whatever build the phone came with out of the box

Prior to rooting and flashing cwm or any of that did you wipe google wallet (reset) prior? If not you may have borked it.

for the ****$ of it I went and tried again and now everything works ans I have it all set up

I never wiped the phone so it shouldn't be a problem
And I think there is a different error message for that

Is google wallet safe to use, what if you lose your phone. Can someone access your credit card info?

Google wallet is locked, in that everytime you open the app, you need to input your password. So unless they know the pin, they won't have access. Additionally, you can set up an additional screen lock pin.
worked like a charm
Thx

I saw a couple of these threads around xda. Just wanted to share and see what you guys come up with.
Original thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1571645
All you do is just post and complete this sentence "You know you're rooted when.."
Examples:
masaidjet: You know you're rooted when you tell a neighborhood hoe to " wipe her cache "
wscott9903: You know you're rooted when 1/2 of your apps require superuser permission.
feralicious: You know you're rooted when your spouse tells you they're leaving you and taking the kids and you think "perfect timing, (insert dev name here) just released a new ICS ROM".
jayochs: you know you're rooted when your phones buggy as hell lol
putney1477: You know you're rooted when, you husband, wife, significant other gets a new phone and says, don't you dare come near this phone, it works fine!
jackpot08: You know your rooted when when spend more time flashing roms than using your phone"

Hi all.
This is my first phone with nfc so I would like to get some suggestions on what app is good to share files between phones with nfc, and if the other phone must have same app etc.

Try SuperBeamhttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.majedev.superbeam. It's only needed on your phone, but makes it really easy to share via nfc

Was looking for a bit of advice on what to try, Cheers :good:
I had the orange payment app on my s3 got £50 free from Barclay card.
Does anyone know if we will be able to pay using our HTC ones at any point?

Completely OT, but in answer to your question, that'll depend on both the banks and the carrier's. It's taken ages to get to where it is in the US and we're still a long way behind them from an infrastructure point of view.

Not completely, it's an nfc question that I felt didn't require it's own thread and the original question had been asked and answered
Anyway thanks for your reply

Help!
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Were you able to send mms before? Try sending while wifi is on and off.
It could be a network issue too. Does it say 4g in the status bar?
Call support to see if tgey have any problems on their end.
If not, you could backup all your data and factory reset. Other than that I'm not sure right off hand.
Sent from my SGH-T999L using xda premium
I have 4g, full bars, I tried with and without Wi-Fi, tried resetting the apn, even though I didn't mess with it in the first place. I don't get it.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Are you sending it with stock MMS app? And are you sure you can properly connect to the internet?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Yes everything is stock, I have data because I'm using 4g to use Facebook, web, and currently this xda app.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
This is a total shot in the dark, so try if you want to.
Power off
Remove battery
Remove SIM
Replace SIM and battery
Reboot
I know it sounds strange. But stranger things have worked!
I still think calling support and finally factory resetting is your best option.
Sent from my SGH-T999L using xda premium
I'll give that first part a shot, I really hope to avoid the second lol.

Well, it was worth a shot. Sorry I don't have a better idea right now.
Maybe Odin flash the stock firmware?
Sent from my SGH-T999L using xda premium
Too bad I didn't see this sooner!
I have had that problem on 3 different occasions....
The simplest and always the only fix was:
Called my provider (T-Mobile)
Asked them to remove me from the network, and re insert me (my phone, that is)
Removed the battery, waited 3-5 min
re-installed the battery, and booted.
sent a mms picture to myself, and Got it!
no real work on my end. It seems the re-insertion to the network is the "Fix" that makes it work.
This why Doc said to call his provider. They should've done this if he called.
On the online chat with tmobile.. if course they want to make me try the hundred things I already tried..
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
3 support transfers and they had to create a ticket for the guys upstairs, could take up to 3 days...Wtf.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I'd call back and tell them exactly what you read from bobo above. Tell em you looked up the problem online and saw several places that said the same thing. Ask for a supervisor if they still won't try.
Sent from my SGH-T999L using xda premium
It's all fixed after they put in the order. I was at work while it got fixed.

I've done nothing at all lately and my phone says no sim all of a sudden, I've tried restarting many times and nothing. Any insight into this issue?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Have you tried taking the sim out and checking for dust? I know in my older phone it would say that. I would pop the sim out, blow on it, and pop it back in. It would then work.
If not, just an idea.
Tried it
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Did you try another working sim?
Your Imei number maybe blocked a friend of mine paid for a phone on Craig's list and it was working fine and the a week later the sim stopping working so we called sell provider they said the phone was reported lost or stolen also we tried other sim cards didn't work still that's what made us call
