Hold camera button to activate camera

Hi All.
After searching for about an hour i could not come up with anything usefull to what i need.
When ever im typing or just using the stylus i always bump the camera button and than have to wait for the cam to load so i can exit, At the moment i have the button disabled but this can get very annoying when i need to snap a quick pick because now i have to go through menus just to open the camera.
I found a few posts related to my problem but they didnt seem to help, I have tried hbutton and also tried this reg edit:

But my phone does not have any of the registry entries he is talking about
So basiclly all i need is a way so i have to hold the camera button for a couple of seconds before it does anything.
Any help would be great.

Aebuttons and Camera

Hello.
Let me know if you can take a picture with a physical button can be the volume up. I tried to Aebuttons but I can not assign the role.

Nope, tried this for an earlier thread on this theme and the buttons are not available.
Seems that, like the BT buttons, HTC has captured the button press directly when the camera app is running.
No volume buttons in the camera app are available to AEB+

i miss the action of camera button

there is nothing action when i press my camera button.
i press the camera button, and the camera function doesn't work.
but it still has the carema function in the ROM which i cooked in my X1.
how do i fix my camera button ?

Did you break the connector off the board or got it disabled through software?

NO~, just cook the Energy rom.
i can't press the camera button to start up the xperia camera.
But i can start up the xperia camera through ".\Start Menu\Programe\Multimedia\xperia camera".
Also, i notice that, when i start up the xperia camera, i still have the "focus" function....,but just missing "shutter" funtion.
HAHA,can you understand what i taliking about?

i think thats a hardware problem, i believe pressing the camera key on energyroms still opens up xperiacam
and since you have no shutter function that shows its a hardware problem

I can fully understand you, I have same problem. Probably its a HW problem, but after flashing camera button sudenly has been worked. Now problem is back and I have to push at button with power. maybe it will be a feature Not a bug

I have the same problem and its not a hardware thing, i got a new phone for diffrent reasons and it worked till i copy my old system over. I dont really care that much since the camera is crap anyway..but it would be nice to know how to fix it..

it would be more satisfying to have it back as it should be, but i really dont remember if i messed up the camerabutton setting in the registy or if some additional software is missing from autostart that checked this button..

Volume up key doesn't work & auto answering. Need help

Hello everyone, I just got my LG G4 LG-H812 and the first thing I did was download some apps. I went on youtube to look for apps that can better my experience with the phone. I downloaded the key plus app to change my volume up button to activate my flashlight instead of the quick note app. It was working fine at first but then my phone started acting weird. It was automatically answering calls and that got really annoying, so I did a factory reset to see if that would work. After the factory reset it's still answering automatically and now my volume up button doesn't work when the screen is locked. I tried reinstalling key plus and allocated the volume up key to turn the flashlight on but now even that doesn't work. The auto answer is also set to off and I've tried pretty much everything. It's getting really frustrating so If anyone out there has an answer or a suggestion for me I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

Do you use the Circle app things?
Key plus doesn't work for me if I let the cover turn off the screen.
If I turn it off with the off button, the back buttons work fine.

What is that exactly? Is it an app that you have to download seperetely or does it come with the phone

Photos with phone off

Just switched to lineage and it's great so far. One feature I am missing is in stock Miui you had the option to set the volume down photo to take photos even when the phone is off. So essentially just hold down the volume button and it starts snapping, no need to turn on, open camera app etc This is great for capturing a moment very quickly, but I don't see this option in lineage. Any ideas how I can re enable it?

I think there's a setting to double press power button to open camera.

Thanks but that's different to the Miui functionality.
In Miui you hust hold the volume button down and it starts shooting, regardless of focus etc. No screen on, no opening of app

I found the functionality is called Quick Snap in Miui. Is it available via xposed or something similar?
