I have recently rooted my Boost Mobile Android 4.1.2 Version GC01 Samsung Galaxy S2 (Epic 4G Touch) and I am trying to install LMT/Pie control onto my phone. I have tried several version of the program and even after a successful install and giving it superuser access I can still not manage to get the gestures to respond to anything I do or even open the pie. I have fiddled with the settings and still cannot get it to work.
Is anybody familiar with the the tool and able to help a noob?
You have to push it to system/app, download ROM Toolbox Lite and use the root browser... Questions and help go in Q&A

I just did that and I still get nothing. The app opens and I have access to the various settings but pie, gestures, and ISAS do not respond to anything I do.

You gave to set the correct permissions then reboot... Also make sure you are setting LMT as default launcher
Mine looks the same, it is in the system folder, but something still is not right. I even downloaded Home Switcher and the only thing it is picking up is TouchWiz home.

Go to App Manager, hit Menu, hit Reset App Preferences, hit Home key... It should give you the option of LMT as your launcher, provided you have rebooted to install the app after setting permissions.

Hello everyone.
I have a really wierd problem with defy's buttons (menu, home, back, search). They stoped working at all.
So for a couple months I have been having strange problems with the buttons. It looked like home button was pushed and app drawer was opening/closing really fast. Reset has helped, but temporary.
And about a week ago the buttons stoped working at all. I tried to flash another ROM (official 2.2), but it didn't help.
And now I don't know what to do. I goggled it, but there is no information about such problem.
If somebody can give an advice, please let me know.
Thanks.
Nobody ? That's sad. XDA was my last hope) Well, I guess I will sell it for parts.
try doing an sbf. if that doesn't work, then there is hardware issue.
edit: dont know if you already did..since you said you flashed an official 2.2 rom..
Don't know if this will work but it won't hurt to try

Download the files and android commander search it up. It's easier than manually using adb commands.
Connect your phone to pc and make sure usb debugging is on
In android commander navigate to system/usr/layout
Then click on push on the toolbar in android commander
Select the files you downloaded then right click on each file that you just added then click on properties
make sure each one looks like this

Maybe this will fix your buttons?
from http://android.site666.info/indextricks.htm :
home key, search button, security lock, power button options: repair them
Some phones do strange things at random: your home and search buttons stop working, your security lock won't load (leaving your data wide open), and if you hit the power button then reboot is your only option, because silent mode and flight mode are missing from the list.
There's nothing wrong with the buttons on your phone, but there's something wrong with the software that controls them.
• Fix: backup your apps and data, reset your phone to factory settings, restore your backups.
Make sure you have a full backup or two and check that the backups work before resetting your phone.

Hello,
I have had my phone for a while now, but today was the first time since I got the phone that I looked at the device administrators area (settings / security / device administrators) and I noticed that there was an item called "Phone Info" that was activated by default and after reading about what it is supposed to do, I decided to deactivate it, but I was unable to do so. My questions therfore are:
1.) what is the purpose of this item?
2.) why can I not deactivate it?
3.) is it normal for it to be activated by default?
4.) if is not needed than how do I get rid of it?
In case it helps, my phone is rooted and I am still running the stock 4.1.2 ROM that came with the phone.
A few days ago I tried out the "All In One" 4.3 Stock ROM from Thunder Stick, but it was not working for me to well so I restored my nandroid backup of my original stock ROM so I am not sure If the other ROM has anything to do with it or not or if the setting has always been like that, but as I said before, I just noticed it today and would like to know what it is and how to deactivate it if I can.
Thanks for any and all replies,
Mtcell
Can you post a screenshot?

Here is another one that shows the permissions dialog and where I should be able to deactivate it, but pressing the deactivate button has no effect.
That is weird. I am checking my s3 now but this is all it shows on my optimus G. Maybe it is a Samsung thing?

Edit: here is what my s3 shows under those settings, but remember, my s3 isn't activated. Maybe it is just the activation stuff?

Thanks for the reply. After doing some research I have discovered that it is part of some corporate security thing that sprint has on some of the newer s3's (see the attached screenshot) Anyway, I have frozen the app since there is no way to disable it. That will work for now until I change my stock ROM in a few weeks.
If anyone else has this app setup as a device administrator and wants to disable it than you can use the pro version of titanium backup or the free version of sd maid to freeze the app like I have done. Note, your phone must be rooted to use these apps.
Title says it all, want to swap the back and apps button. They moved the option is system tuner from Android 7.0

You probably can if you can get your device rooted bit without root access I don't think so

Go to THIS link then go to the download page and grab the Stock SystemUI + Framework with minor mods – DOWNLOAD and install it. Then go into System UI Tuner in settings.
Unfortunately, I can't find it again, but one of the OTAs had a tool built in to do this in the UI Tweaker. It might have been the "V" version but I haven't been able to get it again.

Wrongly uninstalled, not disabled.. Sorry
Same thing. You can get it from there.
Or go setting-apps-disabled apps, and check there too

My list is empty.
Unfortunately, I uninstalled Game Suite (not "disable" - "uninstall").
We need some kind apk - i hope it will work.
I try apk from Honor 8 (i found it od XDA) but i cant install - error.
Here you go
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1gJP8I9B_hyiZzQt6O7o9OXVoYAPyNWwd
Game center and game suite via share from my phone.
I installed both. The app works but the GPU turbo is not working. In Game Suite, there is still an acceleration mode instead of turbo mode. In the description is the info that the acceleration mode affects the battery. That was not the point. The game suite with the link has the version 8.0.1.101 while the other people with everything works correctly have an older version.
You dont need a button for gpu turbo..its automatic when you play compatible games. I think)

I have recenty unlocked and rooted my FTV 4K sticks which lead me to installed Wolf Launcher
I have noticed most people achieve a very nice clear section above their apps to show off their background like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However when I try and add empty sections I get a message telling me I have to move something to the section and I cannot find any way to remove the message and just show the nice empty section? See below
Has anyone got any ideas on how ti resolve this?
Thanks in advance

You are using older version, go to FTVLAUNCHX forum
Search for
Wolf Launcher 0.1.6-FireTV
Download and update, add only one section, after that remove the title of that section from settings
