does anyone here use them at all?
thought I'd give them a go but sadly, they are pretty useless when you have other stuff on your screen as they don't so much sit behind your screen as underneath everything else you have.
well, that is using Animated today V4.0
anyone else tried another app to have an animated today screen?
thanks
Ok - not talking about themes, but can you install animated wallpapers on the Mytouch... Has anyone tried this yet
i would also like to know what the process would be... like vwallpaper on the iphone/itouch
I have found the animated wallpapers which are located in the Windows/Animated Wallpaper, there are currently three, _RAW_Light.png, _RAW_Brush.png and _RAW_Circle.png.
These are in some way linked by a Cache file.
I can create animated png files (apng) the easiest way is via the firefox plugin.
Save them out as a single png and place them into the folder in Windows as above, but they don't work...
Anyone had any luck ?
That is because the animation is not in the .png file. It is in the Manila files. The file you are looking at is just the background/preview of the animation. If you look at the backgrounds, some parts of the animation overlap parts of manila while others are underneath it, and such cannot be done with a simple animation. These are scripted animations.
Is there already anything like backgroud for all Tabs, just for animated wallpaper?
just wanted to subscribe and kick this up again.
Realy want to use this instead of the sometimes laggy weather animations

Me too, would be nice if someone would be able to make an animated wallpaper out of this:

Hi guys, as the title says, I'd like to make a more advanced live wallpaper but not super sure where to start. I've been able to make my own live ones using the android canvas along with just typical animated images etc. But was hoping to do something more complicated now, like the nexus live wallpapers and things like that.
Current thought is that I should use openGL or something similar to develop it. But was wondering if there was other ways, such as some sort of unity engine or some other way to make more complicated animations .
Thanks all
Hello XDA community.
I'm a 3D artist and Graphic designer and recently a client asked me to create a loading screen GIF for their Android/IOS app.
The Animated GIF pops up when some page is loading so it needs transparency or Alpha outside of the actual GIF.
The issue here is that the GIF i made has Jagged and Pixelated edges. This might be because of the limitation of GIF format.
Is there a way to make an animated GIF with the Bg removed that has smooth edges?
If there isn't then how do other apps do this? How are those animated things implemented?
I couldn't find anything searching on google. Please help.
All help is greatly appreciated.
