Is the k3v2 64bit ? - Huawei Ascend P6, Mate

I just came across this.
http://www.techradar.com/news/phone...-d-quad-is-as-powerful-as-a-64-bit-pc-1066474
It boasts of Ascend D quad being 64bit. But i checked the specs of both Ascend D as well as the newer D2 and both are k3v2 quad core 1.5ghz. So either p6 is 64bit too or Ascend D isnt 64bit.
Edit: Here too: http://www.hisilicon.com/news/news/k3v2_20120226.html
So I wonder how this unique feature that only few newer mobiles recently got can help huawei mobiles do stuff that others cannot. :?

http://www.cnx-software.com/2012/02/27/hisilicon-unveils-quad-core-cortex-a9-k3v2-processor-hi3620/

The mobile hardware and software ecosystem is already moving in the direction of 64-bit; and, the evolution to 64-bit brings desktop class capabilities and user experiences to mobile, as well as enabling mobile processors and software to run new classes of computing devices.

Huawei should make use of the 64bit capabilities in Emotion 2.0 and show it off a bit.

Upgrading RT?

Is it possible to upgrade the Dell XPS 10 which comes with RT to a pro version? If not what is the next best pro tablet for the least amount of money? Thanks!
It impossible because the architecture of CPU was not the same. Windows RT CPU base on ARM but Windows 8 Pro CPU base on x86-64.

Running Windows XP with Bochs on Asus Zenfone 2

The Zenfone 2 has an Intel Atom Z3580 processor, which supports virtualization technology (VT-x). This should allow to run Windows XP under Bochs, even much faster than an ARM processor does. Did anyone try this already?
Processor specs:

USB OTG on older lumias?

Hello, now we have lumia 950 and 950XL which run the same OS build and have somewhat similiar hardware as older lumias. We also have interop and full unlock, so is it possible to import drivers from them?
not possible because hardware, not OS...
Also, USB-C Dual Role is not the same as USB-OTG.
But why android devices with similar hardware , usb type, same processor and stuff have OTG working? Do they have special hardware for this?
Which?
My friend's HTC Desire 816 is pretty similar to my lumia 640 XL, and OTG works on his device. BTW, HTC One M8 has OTG support, and it seems that windows version doesn't.
Yeah, look like Microsoft doesn't support OTG in WP. It has dismantled a myth then.
I'm sceptical... My Lumia 925 has a Snapdragon S4 which is described as USB OTG compatible....

it may not be hardware issue ,it requires drivers that will come with firmware, MS had no intention to support older devices with new features like ,call recording,USB-OTG,etc,no firmware updates for older devices ,may be feedback may help on this

We have a chance for N

Today i see someone succesfully boot Android N on Xperia L. Which is Xperia L has a same proccesor with Redmi 1S (snapdragon 400) Maybe we can port the ROM into our device. What do you guys think about?

As far as I could gather, yes, it is possible to get Nougat.
Things we will NOT GET, because of the GPU we have are: OpenGL 3.1 / Vulkan. Those two are only embedded in Adreno 400 and upwards.
This would mean that there is a chance for problems with games that might migrate above OpenGL 3.0 (which we have).
As far as I'm aware, the differences between 3.1 and 3.0 are in the addition of new libraries, so if the game needs those new libraries 100% and doesn't offer a fallback option, we won't be able to play them.

Redmi1s won't get any more
Actually not a problem of xiaomi but of **** Google.
This is Android (and OEMs and Qualcomm) not looking far ahead to support devices. They don’t care about customers. After sale support non-existent.
Why is Apple able to support iPhone 5s (same age as Nexus 5) with iOS 10 and later? Because Apple made it compatible with METAL apk from day 1. Because it has hardware encryption since day 1.
Why is Apple able to support iPhone 5 (4 years old) with iOS 10? Because Apple is willing to!!! IPhone 5 does not support METAL nor does it have ARMv8 chip…yet iPhone 5 is getting iOS 10…minus raise to speak to Siri…it is getting 99% of iOS 10 features.
Remember, major software updates also bring with it security features beyond “monthly patches.”
So, with all the resources of software (Google) and hardware (OEM’s and Qualcomm), Android cannot support Nexu 5 and the likes?! It is like buying a laptop (since most phones cost the same) and can only use it for 2 years. That’s insane!
When will Android community wake up and demand more? Google, OEMs, and Qualcomm will only listen if money talks.
And it is this crap that explains horrible re-sale value of Android flagships!

Windows 10 mobile on Snapdragon 410?

Hello, I really thought it would be a fun experiment to install Windows 10 mobile on a HTC desire 820q. It has a Snapdragon 410, and some windows 10 mobile phones and phablets have that same chip under the hood. Sadly, I can't find any images to flash using the bootloader, nor any other android releases except kitkat (factory). I would really apreciate a working and tested image.
Thank you.
