Hello!
As there are no progress on 4.2 roms in dev section, please share your knowledge: is there any fully working 4.1 custom rom / or modified sammy rom that runs smoothly + without all that sammy crapware? All I need is no problems with mic, fm radio app, non-gmail mail app.
I've restored to newest original sammy rom from modded lite rom (there were some bugs as it was some of earlier version) and I'm crushed with performance. Everything works terribly slow - keybord delay, lags everywhere, dialer delay,
If there is such rom - please help and give the name
BR
piecho
There is no bugfree 4.1 or 4.2 custom roms there are only modified stock roms.
And there is a lot progress on 4.2 custom roms and almost no progress on 4.1 custom roms
If you want no lag delay or so go back to GB or install cm 10.1 by TeamCanjica! Yes there are bugs but you can choose good performance and some little bugs or bad performance but no bugs

the way ROMs are presented is quite confusing. kyrillos v8 is laggy as hell on my phone. that is why I am looking for some decent replacement. Thinking about switching to CM10.1, at least it's cyanogen. Just cannot understand why they won't release official CM for Ace 2.
Because there are no sources for most things and cm have to merge our omx fix...

I've used Phiex's CM7.2 for very long and for some reason it started to get very buggy.
I would have to enable and disable airplane mode to be able to send an SMS, some simple things stopped working, performance became a bit sluggish etc etc.
So I decided to give CM9 a try. What a disaster, almost nothing works (for me) and since I use my phone in a very specific way there was no mention of those things not working.
Either way, here's a summary of the things I use my phone for:
Tethering 3g internet via WiFi to my iPad.
Tethering GPS via Bluetooth to my iPad.
Lot's of texting/browsing
Some calling.
Now, my question is obvious. What is the most stable, most reliable non-stock Gio rom out there?
Did anyone try the CM7, the one not from Phiex? Is that one any good?
Many many thanks in advance.
I would say cm7. But if you really want stability, choose a stock based rom.

Decided to give your ROM a try. Seems like a good one.
The only thing is that there is no link in your post to the ICS theme.. Which ICS theme do you recommend for your ROM?
Just see the link got corrupted, here it is:
http://www.mediafire.com/?py6sjjy1dwh7d16
I recommend to use holo launcher or apex launcher for the pure ics look.

Has anyone tryed the new 4.2 camera app and the Photosphere in our Galaxy Wonder?
I'm using CM9B3 ROM, and since the camera has started working well, I don't install anything that could mess it all (I'm a heavy camera user...)

ya, so excited. I heard this news 2 days ago from xda portal, and I've visit the pages,
but I'm afraid no download link in that page, they said as google's request
it wont replace the original camera apps. anyway the camera wont work, only the gallery. i try it 2 days ago.

I think the camera is only for Android 4.2
on galaxy s+ running cm9 beta build 3 by arco isn't working at all. The gallery is working but the camera isn't. anyway i had 2 cameras , one stock (cm9 camera) and that one wich isn't working . you can try it but first make a backup at camera, gallery, or a nandroid backup ( is better) . Good luck !!
not work on PARANOIDANDROID Ecstacy[RC 3][ICS 4.0.4].."Unfortunately, Gallery has stopped"
this screenshot from gallery film strip..
Camera doesnt work for me, gallery does (some things make it fc)

It depends what day it is. Seriously, I swap ROMs so often even I don't know for sure.
Enhanced 2.3.6 has been the best for stability etc but CM7 offers the next best stability with greater features - e.g. music controls on the lockscreen.

Currently i have the CM9 from maclaw but titanium backup says my phone isn't rooted. I also had GingerDX and MiUI and s3 gio but in every rom there are some bugs. I need a rom WITHOUT bugs. Well all roms have there good points and bad but that all depends on how you use it.. Like ginger DX is a stable rom but kind of plain.. Try differend roms and see what kind you find most good to work with..
