Safe to flash kernel? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey I have kernel 3.0.31-310959, and I was wondering if it was safe to flash to perseus kernel?
Android version 4.1.1. Build: JRO03C.N7100XXALJ3
I tried to flash the perseus kernel when I was on a custom rom and it wouldn't boot so I had to recovery restore back to stock.
Thanks!

You can Odin el29 one click sfhubs, or install the safe kernel from agat version 2.3 and flash back your nandroid if you made one. Its safe with that kernel.

Is there a way to flash kernel though CWM ?
No. You can only flash a ROM thorough CWM. Kernel is a different matter.

[Q] N5110 Flashing kernel....

I'm only rooted... on the STOCK firmware
I'd like to install that kernel:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415862
But it says: ONLY SUPPORTS Android 4.2.2 SAMSUNG STOCK BASED ROM
Does it mean that I won't be able to install a custom ROM after flashing the kernel??
Or it just mean that I must be on STOCK to use it?
Also, I'll use that recovery: PhilZ 5 recovery to flash the kernel: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287802
is it OK?? or I should use TWRP (I read that TWRP is better than CWM)
Another Q:
If I had problem with the kernel, is flashing the STOCK one easy?
(I want a link to a stock kernel of N5110 just to be safe)
Finally, would flashing kernel reset my device and wipe all of my data?
Thanks in advance
