Why do you think that happend?
Nothing about this on HTC Website.
As far as I remember, HTC said, that the HOV is not performant enough for 4.1

Ok. Then maybe it will come later.
By now, there is no update via OTA available.
Which customer service center your friend contacted? and if update is coming soon, then also i don't want to downgrade my hov from 4.2.2 to 4.1.1

As of now we have no official Android 4.1.1 update. We were abandoned at ICS. If we were to ever get the update, it would be Sense 4.+ lite, which is the same as what the Desire X has.
HTC officially said that devices with 512mb ram won't be updated to jellybean. So it must be a fake rumor
Nope it's impossible

11mb seems kinda small for a radio. I think a radio update would be between 17mb - 25mb

Got it also in Finland two days ago. Can't really tell yet if my operator has a good day or if the update really did something. My connection doesn't constantly switch between H and 3G anymore.

Hi! also from sweden, my OneX (don't like calling it HOX branded to Tre (Three/SWE) and got the latest fw upgrade yesterday. Here are the screenshots from software info page, before and after. Rgds
it has changed the build machine (different hostname on kernel info) but it stayed the same because git's hash is the same (or they changed something but didnt committed...)
Please, can any one share the link of the ota file or the full name of the ota zip file.
thx
Got nothing in India yet and somehow I don't care about these small updates . Still waiting for an official announcement about Jellybean. Then again I think I will be shifting to CM10 or some other Jellybean ROM just to get rid of HTC Sense

You're in the same situation as 99% of HOX users. Only unbranded Taiwan and some Elevate members (closed beta test) have it.

You have to have stock rom and lock it again to get the official OTA update. Or you could just install some nice JB custom rom.

Wait and see, if users around you are starting to receive the update and you are not getting it, then you could always re-lock and check for the update, until now we haven't seen an update yet, other then the x.xx.709.x devices or at some elevated users.

no, first it will upgrade to 4.0.4 and then to 4.1.1
Yeah, but you should have had 4.0.4 a long time ago.
The updates are incremental, so it will do each one.
What software version do you have now?
I just bought the phone and i have 4.03 but i dont want to update to jellybean now,I would want to update to 4.04,are you all shure that it goes to 4.04 not to jellybean if i update it trough standard update process??
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Yes. It tells you what you're getting and you can cancel it before continuing.
One more question should I update to 4.04,I mean is there much improvment conserning battery life, heating,is it much better than 4.03??
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Yeah, definitely much better.
Would update erase apps that I downloaded,or music, videos,or documents from memory??
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
None of the updates I installed did this, everything remained intact and functional.
The occasional person says they have a problem... There's always one!
Just do it already!
Update number I got is 2.17.728.5 is that jellybean or ics 4.04???

Don't know what carrier you have but if you manually check for updates the JB should also be ready fir download......
As i understand my phone cid is 023 australia an it is bought unlocked,I didn't check for jb because I don't want it,because I'am new to ics,my previous phone is gingerbread so this is a big leap for me,and I won't update untill I'am bored with this one

Mark my words: We'll be enjoying Android 5.x on our AOSP/AOKP builds before HTC gets around releasing 4.2.
If HTC updated us to 4.2 we'd likely lose the ability to move apps to the sdcard partition. And it's not like they're giving us trebuchet, most 4.2 changes are lockscreen and launcher centric.

There shouldn't even be questions about the device getting 4.2
I would personally expect Key Lime Pie, and not getting it would be disgraceful.

Some of us are still stuck in 4.0.4, anything is questionable at this point.
