I recently upgraded from cm10 to cm10.1 and I have a 16gb s3 and it shows barely any storage being used by apps etc yet I don't even have 1gb of storage left

Check if u have a lot of /0/0 directories under /sdcard or wherever your internal card is
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I found one /0/ directory but that's it, I won't do anything until I know it will work but if I delete that will it free up the space?
Thanks a lot

You could do a complete wipe and format. Had a similar issue before, never really figured out the cause, but starting over definitely worked!

Yes, but u should move anything that u want to keep, pictures, music, backups, over to the external sd card or your pc...:silly:
Yeah if I have to I will but I'd prefer not to lol

Will deleting that one directory fix it?
Thanks

Just check where your space went with app DiskUsage on Play Store.
Thanks polobunny so according to that app I have 10gb of system data which doesn't make sense...

Take a screenshot and let's go deeper then! You can browse the whole thing directory by directory and we can find the culprit.
Here is this what you wanted or in a different directory?
Thanks so much for the help! I'm still a noob

I've had the XDA premium app for a couple of weeks now. Then yesterday for some reason wheb I went to open it it wouldn't open. I realized the xda premium app was gone from my app drawer. So I went to download and install it again, and it gave an error saying "could not install on usb storage or sd card". Anyone else see this problem?

We would love to help. But we need more details. Are you using stock software, a custom ROM, or what. Every custom ROM has its own little quirks. We just need more info to narrow down the problems. What have you done, mod wise, to your phone?

Yes stock Telus software now.
What other details would you need? It only happened on pictures that I would save from the chive. I understand if they are too big but all other pics shared to any app, they resize to fit and send as mms no problem.
Bump!
Is your data turned on? I am unable to receive mms if I'm ONLY on wifi (data off).

Please lemme know what you think.

Hey guys. I know space can be an issue if you're like me and like having a lot of games. So this app called gl to sd which is free in the play store freed up so much space for me. It moves data to your external storage. Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone interested. Not sure if I put this in the right section though. Anyway check this out.
