[Q] CM9 Problems

I have 4 problems with CM9 alpha 4.
1.I can't move/organize any of my apps around in the app drawer.
2.I can't setup up the face unlock, I tried but it just doesn't work
3. Every time I download a new app it makes a shortcut on the home screen.
4.The clock app always force closes.

1. Get a different launcher, google nova launcher I think it has that ability.
2. You need to be in a clear place with plenty of light for facelock to configure and needs to be there for a good amount of time.
3. Go into the market go into settings and uncheck auto add widgets.

Thank you so much, but I already tested Nova Launcher, and I still cant edit my apps in the drawer.

It also helps to read the CM9 threads like the Tip Sharing thread in General if you don't want to wade through all the posts in the Development thread. The market tip was one of the first ones posted.

golauncher ex will allow you to organize and even hide apps. it will use a little more battery to also have it running, but its worth it IMO

I used to use it, but on cm9 it just "takes away" the feeling of having ICS.

I would have suggested it but adw's animations pixelate and I've never had any pixeling on nova launcher...may want to just get used it it my draws is alphabetical its typical I've gotten used it it

Is anyone else having problems sending MMS I use Hancent...but none of my pictures ever go through?

My MMS works fine, even over wifi, with the stock application and with handcent.

When I first flashed this rom I was having the same problem with mms. I only could send them with the wifi turned off but for some reason it's working fine now.

What face unlock? Sounds nice! What's the name for the app?

Any of you have Exchange email sync issues? Mine syncs for a day then stops and I get "Connection Errors"

It's built in...under security I think. It is like a password with your face as the key..

nova launcher was first for me. touchwiz is ugly and the icons are horrible. with nova you can change the icons and get a vanilla feel.

I downloaded SwiftKey 3 keyboard. Wasn't really feeling the stock keyboard..

boosting to +2 makes it sound better in my car so that way I don't have to turn the volume up to 3/4

yes there is a app called message 4.0 from tim hutt its free and its a galaxy s nexus icecream look alike:laugh:

Go SMS Pro is a good free messaging app, tons of options and you can theme it to look like stock ICS.

I tested it on ics and it works

Working pretty well on Aokp 7-15, but a it force closes when I try make a note to my self with it, not really a problem for me I don't really use that feature.

Does audio search work?

I haven't flashed it yet, but I'm assuming the "With Voice" part of the title probably means audio search is working...

cool don't really use voice features, but its something cool to show off since it has such great voice recognition.

Working perfectly for me on AOKP 7-15, darkside venom 05 kernel. Even tried setting reminders and they worked, except not for another day. Replied: "sorry alarms and reminders only support times of day, but not dates." Not a big deal. Love everything else about it. Much appreciated!

Oops nevermind. Gotta push the search key or just add the search Widgets.

Just add the normal quick search bar widget and hit the microphone. It might ask you to select which program you would like to use, select Google (not voice search)

So, I hope I'm doing something wrong. The Google search function seems to work. Like facts and stuff. I have the cards. However when I ask it to do something like Set a reminder, it will say "setting reminder" but then nothing ever happens. No alarms reminders etc. Any thoughts? Im on Darkside Evolution v8. TW Rom.

[Q] taking photos using voice gone after flashing Jedi X6

I just flashed the Jedi X6 to on my att note 2 and found the taking photos using voice option gone in the camera app.
It is normal or just me?
Searched the Jedi rom thread and did not find an answer.

The ROM can mess up Google voice based function and downloading locale settings and setting to US fixes it.
I haven't had this issue so I can say if it works but its worth a shot.

Go to the goodie bag and install the s-voice zip, the voice actions are controlled by s-voice, settings are in s-voice, and it doesn't come with the jedi x rom unless you add it yourself.

S voice leak installs great on the Verizon note 2. Only glitch I found is in driving mode asking to navigate causes a force close.

try looking in your application manager in settings it should be there.When i installed it I just got a new icon.

What i had to do was go into root explorer in my rom tool box and move the apk into my system apps, change the permissions, and run just a regular reboot and it works fine.

lol you talking about the blue in the mic? yup I had that too, it bothered me a bit too, but I dealt with it, what I couldnt take was it killing my battery so fast, I reverted back via a nandroid and all was well. was no huge loss as I never really ever use S voice so........

There are no galaxy s4 apps "for sprint" lol... just download the system dump, extract the APK file you want, put it on your phone (push into system/apps, set permissions, etc) and see if it works! Of course always make a backup before trying something new!
