Better Samsung OEM headphones on ebay

Hey guys, i bought these headphones http://tiny.cc/ptf4c , there Samsung OEM, the sound coming out these headphones is just mind blowing....the default headphones of the captivate not only are in ear(i hate does types) the sound coming from them is not perfect, so anyways get the ones from ebay, there cheap and the sound is just amazing!

You know I dont understand why the captivate didnt come with a headset with the volume control/skip-previous control. My brother has an HD2 and I really wish I had that.
for 4 bucks I might bite on those samsung ones as well because I am not a fan of the ones that this came iwth

Yeah, I've never been a fan of IEMs. I just use my Yuin PK3s with it. I only listen to music on it, so I don't need a headset.

To be honest, I was impressed with the stock IEMs. For a free set of phones, they don't sound half bad, and they do a good job of blocking out ambient noise. I wear them in bed to listen to something calming when the AC in my room is on (it's super loud). I have yet to use them as a headset, but I've read that the mic is not great. I won't turn my nose up at free stuff if it's good quality.
I also use Yuin PK3s with my Captivate most of the time. They obviously sound leagues better than the Samsung IEMs, but as earbuds don't block any noise.

I had no issues at all with the cheap stock ones, I wore them on my flight to Vegas from DC for Blackhat/Defcon, cut down on most of the engine/plane noise.

The in the ear headphones are ok. But when in a house with 3 kids under 8 it gets a little dangerous cause I can't hear them.
But in some cases that may be a good thing. Lol.

Please tell if they control song selection, other than just pause, such as skip to next song.

i prefer in ear more than those regular one
it helps a lot when you are in a noisy environment,i.e. subway
you don't need to turn the volume to really high to get the music you wants! better for your ears!
the stock is okay but kind of annoying since it doesn't have the control with it

I actually like the stock headphones, except the thin cable is always winding it'self up.
And I doubt that any $4 pair of earbuds will blow any minds with their sound quality

I was rather impressed with the included IEMs... they have great sound quality, and its nice to see earbuds come with a phone. They even have acceptable low end frequency response (sounds like between 10-20 hz).
I'm a dj (hence my name) so i'm a bit of an audiophile, but I was totally fine going on a run using these as my headphones for pandora (since I can use the button to skip and pause).

These are pretty much THE BEST earphones I've ever used!
The sound is perfectly balanced with bass you can pretty much feel
It's very comfortable (Though I'm using them with the sony hybrid silicon tips/comply foam tips)
The microphone is of excellent quality! (No one ever complains about voice quality when I'm talking to them on the phone)
And most importantly to me is that the button works with MixZing to play/pause and skip songs.
These ARE in-ears so most people (like the OP) either don't like them at all, or will have to take some time to get used to them.
Now, I'm not an audiophile, but I have tried other "mid-end" earphones *just to try something new* like the Klipsch S4i, Shure SE115+, Bose In Ear, BEATZ by Dre, and the Sony earphones for the Iphone and I always end up falling back to these. Thankfully Apple has a very good return policy ;D It also helps that the NuForce are about half the price of all of the other brands I listed here
What's also great about these is the company has a VERY good warranty. I've had them sent me a replacement absolutely free a couple times, because of the wires going out due to me mishandling them.

Wired Headset Recommendation?

I've been searching for a specific type of headset to use with the ET4G for weeks without success and hoping someone might be able to help.
I'm a runner and for years have used these Sony clip on headpones:

I've found that they are the only style of headphones that don't keep falling out when I am out running and sweating (the ear bud style keep falling out, I tried the Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth headset but found that enough sweat will short out the Bluetooth receiver on the back). While the Sony headphones work fine with the ET4G, to use it for phone calls I have to hold the device up to my mouth; so I am looking for something with a built-in microphone.
Might anyone have a recommendation for a wired headset with microphone similar to the headphones pictured above?

I don't know how the skullcandy 50/50's are (w/mic) but the titans sound really great (no mic). The titans have good low end and good clarity.

I can't speak from experience this is just an idea of what "might" work, but the Monster iSport Immersion Headphones may be what you're looking for.

I don't run very much, but I have a pair of Sennheiser MM 50 iP earbuds that suction into the ear.
While I'm at work, I can rack servers, change backup batteries, and run around the datacentre like a mad man and they never fall out.
Also, the sound quality is EXCELLENT and I can barely hear anything outside.
Only downside is that I like to hear what's going on outside of my earbuds when talking on the phone. So, they're great for music and quick phone calls, but for longer calls I don't care for them.

The one suggestion that comes somewhat close is the Monster iSport Immersion because it comes close to clipping on the ear which, along with the Mic, is the key feature for me because having tried every modification of in-ear/ear bud style- they all fall out whereas the ear clip prevents that.

Hi all,
I've had these headphones since January (2012). I can vouch how durable they are and they do sound AMAZING. I'd always hated the in-ear phones because they'd always fall out. The little in-ear clip on these does a good job of staying put, once you fit yourself with the properly sized attachments (included).
The iSport Immersions are awesome, but know this...the only part that works with Android devices is the pause/play button. Track skipping does NOT work. When running or working out, I tend to not mess with the music very much, so for me it's not very important.
Monster does make a iSport LIVESTRONG (yellow) with Universal control. Basically the same as the Immersion, but different control. I'd recommend these over the Immersion for Android users.

Go to Wal-Mart and buy a set of body glove in ear buds. They come with over ear clips. I work on an oil rig and they stay put no matter what. Plus they are only 20 bucks and sound 20 times better than the skull candy ear buds I have. Almost as good as my Sure ear buds. Built in mic too

Review: Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth Headphones

So I was looking for new headphones for my S3 that had controls on them and where good for an active lifestyle. I heard about the Motorola S10-HD headphones. They are a wraparound style bluetooth headphones that are "sweatproof". They come with 4 different sizes for the ear pieces. It has 3 buttons on each side, left side being volume up, answer call, volume down; right side being skip forward, play/pause, skip backwards. They have a design to them that are a little akward but you get used to it quick. Sound quality is great, more bass then stock headphones but if you are into dance type music you might be dissapointed but I listen to rock/metal and find they are pretty darn good, volume won't blow your ears off but the design of how it holds the ear buds in your ear and the correct ear piece makes a nice noise cancelling effect. They are supposed to last 8 hours on a full charge for music playback using a micro USB to charge them back up. I've only had them for 2 days and haven't gone through a full charge yet.
I live in Canada which surprisingly they are cheaper here at FutureShop ($79.99) then the US BestBuy ($89.99) considering BB owns FS. FS just recently started price matching online adds so luckily NewEgg Canada had them on for $59.99 with free shipping so I was able to get them for that price. In my opinion they are a great wireless solution for anybody looking for headphones with the controls (and phone capability) built right in

I bought a pair on woot.com for $25 and got them a week ago, they work great and the sound is decent. I like the fit and form factor, they are easy to carry, and easy to wear. I have seen them at costco for $50-60. I think they are a good value at about $50 or less. I think if I were spending more than that, you are getting into some low end bluetooth headphones with apt-x (which is supposed to be a better codec for better sound quality).

had one and thought it sucked like hell. you can't take one off and have the other on the ear. you can't have it on your neck, because it feels like a choke hold and sound was not good at all. I came across a Backbeat Go from plantronics. looks like a wired headset with out the wire going to the phone. and yes it's bluetooth... very light very good quality and sounds awesome. also works for phone calls and phone audio, like for listening to music and all that.

In my opinion, the s10 is pure trash. If you came from the s9 and then went to the s10 the sound on the s10 is garbage. No bass whatsoever.

I have had my S-10 for about 7-8 months now. Keep in mind, I ONLY use this thing for the gym. I have a Bose if I am traveling or wanting better sound quality.
Overall, it's decent and it will almost get loud enough. Battery life is great along with the range. I have two MAJOR complaints...
It is advertised as sweat proof. BS! The rubber pads on the inside are held in with Elmer's glue. Once they get hot and wet, they fall out.
The track advance buttons. I have found very few ROMs that they work with. I guess that is just a ROM issue.

I bought these off Woot as well and I must say that I hate them. I personally find them very uncomfortable for short periods of time, let alone all day. The buttons seem to work, but just barely. They have some type of rubber coating over them that makes them awkward to press. The power button is terrible, and not easy to turn on/off. With having that huge hump on the rear of them it would appear the battery would last for weeks, if not years, but this isn't the case...
Sound quality is decent, but nothing to write home about. I had a $20 pair of rocketfish RMFAB-2's that I though had superior sound quality compared to these.
I will definitely be pawning these off on a friend while I continue my search for decent BT headies.

Anyone tried the Jaybird Freedom headset? The Plantronics Backbeat Go looks good, except the LONG wire.

Bluetooth Earphones for Motorcycle?

I'm looking for some earphones to use on my s3 which I can use with my phone to listen to music/gps whilst I'm using my bike. So I need the earphones to be flat so they fit in my helmet comfortably. They also need a decent battery life and ideally can be charged from a 12v cigarette lighter plug.
Can anyone make any recommendations? I'm looking for good quality but cheap. Thanks anyone that can help at all!

I ride snowmobile/motorcycle as well and the best solution I've found so far for me is

they can be had for a bit cheaper.
Battery life has been great for me on them.... I don't think I've ever killed them, not even in the cold.
and unlike most things now days..these things literally have some great standby time...sometimes I use them, come home, dont use em for weeks (month) and still get a ton of time out of them
I was hugely skeptical since I didn't like LG But i've been rocking a pair for over a year now and they haven't died yet.
the only complain I have on them is that the range isn't great (but for our application here) it works fine.

I have some jaybird bluetooth headphones but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't fit under your helmet. they're brilliant but 100 quid!
I would suggest something like the Nokia bluetooth clip that I also have. looks a bit like the first generation ipod shuffle. it has all the functions you need and also you can plug your own headphones into it. it just clips on to your clothes. I found it to be very good and less than £20. I think it is called bh 204 although I'm sure there's an updated version now.

I use a jawbone era. it's big but you can make it fit or cut a small hole in your helmet to make it fit. sound is okay, and the other people i have talked to have said I sound clear as a bell while going down the highway. it's truely an amazing little device.

just got a set of G9's to replace my G4.

My wife and I use the Sena SMH10 on both our helmets. It is a great product. We can talk to each other when we are riding together and when I'm riding solo, I connect my cell phone (SGS1 - White SGS3 is on order! :victory to it and stream music. You can even connect devices that don't have bluetooth via the 3.5mm headphone connector. Lastly, it gives you full control over the phone function too allowing you to place and receive calls while riding all hands free (other than pushing the button on the side once to connect to the incoming call or begin voice activation).
Yes, you will have to have a bulky piece of hardware attached to the side of the helmet, but the speakers are Velcro(ed) under the padding and you would never know they are there.

I always use to just wedge my Evo 4g in my helmet on speaker phone lol... Use to text and ride too .... But thats a diff story... Good luck on finding what your looking for...

Suggestions on Bluetooth stereo headset

So I am looking for people who have real world experience with their Bluetooth headsets to help me out.
I am quite picky and finicky when it comes to my earpiece preferences.

I have tried COUNTLESS tips, they simply do not work with my ear. they fall out and are uncomfortable.
These wired Bose headphones with the "winglet" and the soft "canal" thing are by far the most comfortable earpieces I have ever worn.
I bought them about a year ago wore them straight for about a month. I couldn't live with the "made for iphone" in line remote. So i returned them.
I would likely be interested in custom fit molding, if available.
Audio quality is also important to me, the bose i tried sounded great, but I have heard better. If I can achieve almost bose quality in a bluetooth package I would be very happy.
Volume is not so much a concern with me, that being said I do not want to strain to hear a soft spoken person on the other end of line.
I would prefer controls on the earpiece itself as opposed to the in-line behind the neck controls.
I do not mind the over the ear style in fact these were my go to headphones in high school
Battery life is not that big of an issue for me (obviously the longer lasting the better though XD) as long as they last 4+ hours I should manage just fine.
I am expecting some standard features as well. pause playback(where available) when answering call, relatively good noise cancellation, sweat resistant, etc.
All in all I am willing to spend $200-$300 for the perfect headset for me.

@vectron: Those seem very similar, so out of those two I would have to go with whichever one seemed to have the best audio quality. What is your opinion. BTW those reviews were really helpful.
The bluebuds look nice and with 8 hours battery life it sounds great.
Just one thing I cant get over, if I do decide to go with one of these I will have to try the Comply Foam tips, but I am very skeptical. I dont think that my ear canal is shaped to hold the buds up. Have you ever seen tips that are hollow and soft like the bose tips, not designed to be structurally sound but just to funnel the sound into the ear?

Regarding BluebudsX vs Plantronics BBG2 comparison, scroll down my BBG2 review to the 2nd post where I made a more detailed comparison including similar Anker headphones as well (but those are very uncomfortable even for my big ear canals lol!!!). BBG2 has fantastic audio sound for wireless headphones, and their case has a built in battery charger so after you use it - store them back int he case where they will get charged up, additional 10hr of playback, including a rapid charge mode; plus they are cheaper. It's tricky with wireless headphones because sound will get compressed through bt protocol. New BT4.0 standard with apt-x technology helps to preserve the sound quality, but not in all the cases. Some vendors come up with their own "decompression" algorithm. I enjoyed quality of Plantronics better. But sound quality is always a matter of personal taste So I always recommend people to buy from Amazon for hassle free return if it doesn't meet your expectations.
Another thing to keep in mind, on the last page of BlueBudsX review, people started to post about Decibullz custom eartips: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2234057&page=6 - maybe that will be a solution for you, to custom mold your own eartip, and its not that expensive either.
