I wish you included what to do with that... It doesn't change anything when replaced by the old one in system/apps... Actually it doesn't even show up. Cannot be installed, too.

I've been asking this question for a while now. With Banks photosphere add-on, I can look at all my old sphere pics but can't take new ones. Camera just sits at start.

Yeah, I got desperate and started looking through other devices threads. I even made a noob mistake and flashed a ROM for another device and bricked myself, thought it was just a flashable zip for photosphere. Don't know what I was thinking, it was late at night. Thank god for backups.

Not sure how much this will help the effort but... If your using team lgog sources it's a rebase of the e975 if they have it working for them I would try the same files/method/apps whatever they are using to get it working... now if it's just not working for 4.3 or for any e975 rom we might just be SOL until someone figures it out
Any try using the Samsung Note 3 keyboard on the LG Optimus Pro G? Anyone have the Apk available to share?
AC

Is it better?
I have owned the Note 1 and Note 2. The size of the keyboards on the Samsung Note Series is pretty much just right. the default LG Optimus Pro G keyboard is a little to small and there is not good key spacing. my friend has the Samsung Note 3. the keyboard does seem to be once again the right size and good spacing. right now I am using the SwiftKey beta (download able from the SwiftKey beta public website). the size has now been updated for bigger devices and u can just the size. SwiftKey still has the best prediction capabilities. I just like the size and key spacings on the Note 3 keyboard. would like to download the Apk to try it out on the LG Optimus Pro G.

Any luck finding it?
Yeah i'd agree theres something wrong with the spacing. I type horribly on this considering the size. Mostly i type a . instead of a space lots of times.
Even if the apk were around somewhere, or extracted from a Samdung ROM, there's not much chance it would work, because typically, Samdung apps require Touchwiz libraries to function.
didnt know that. thanks.

Try copying the apk to /system/app and correct the permissions then reboot. Haven't tested this with this app, specifically, but it's worked fine with other apps that wouldn't install.

Probably depends on touchwiz framework, as usual.
Hi, got my Pad and pretty much first thing installed Qpair onto my HTC Sensation - worked fine. Loaded it up yesterday and I get 'upgrade to new version - go to play store'. At the play store, I get a message on the HTC saying the version is not compatible with my phone.
Did they break it deliberately?
Anyone got the link to the updated apk to see if it will install manually?
Cheers
Robert
FWIW, I had the opposite happen. Qpair didn't work with my Razr Maxx initially but the update now makes it work.

Playing worth my phone over the weekend, playing with different ROMs, I some how got my phone to say its an e975 and now my camera won't work. I don't know how I did it.
What can I do to fix this so I can get on a ROM designed for my phone.
I have the latest CWM and currently running the most up to date CyanogenMod 11 snap shot build.

Have you tried a 3rd party camera app to establish if it's the rom or the app?
Sent from my LG-E975 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
What you did wrong is flashing a ROM that goes only with the International edition of the Optimus G (E975/6/7, geehrc).
You need a ROM made for the GEEB (E970, AT&T).

Tried a 3rd party app and it crashed. What I need is a way to get my phone to think its an e971 (or an e973 since they have tie same hardware) again so I can install the right ROM because it fails when I try and flash the right ROM saying I have an e975.

Hi here is the dialer from newley released android 4.4.3.
In my opinion has a nice new UI
Just install as a regular app. Tested on xt1032 CM11. SHOULD work on any 4.4 ROM though.
Please Note. This will not replace the existing dialer, unless you manually copy to /system/priv-app/ and set permissions as -rw-r--r Then delete dialer.apk from same folder. Reboot. Done.

Firstly I install it just as normal apk. Then I copied it to priv-app, set permission, unset permission on stock dialler, rebooted and still can not see dialer icon.

Yes I did not have chance to fully test this morning. Will look into it as soon as I have chance. Been a very busy day with family. Will update thread if I manage to sort it.
Sorry if I caused you guys any inconvenience :/

Confirm on CM11 it works, but calling screen does not show. not receiving, not making calls.
Pushed manually to Priv-App, keept standard CM11 dialer, cleared data and cache on both = Google 4.4.3 dialer works as it should!
