Note 3 T-Mobile N9000 Bootloader Locked? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hi, if I were to buy the note 3 tmobile n9000 from negri elec for $689.99, is the bootloader locked or not because at&t lock their bootloaders.
are there any other sites like negri electronics?

TMO has no history of locked bootloaders so probably not.

Probably not....
No, from my point of view it wouldn't be a locked one.

The US T-Mobile version is the SM-N900T - they don't have the model number up yet though on Negri

Not knowing the answer to something doesn't make it 50/50. Further there is a 100% chance that it will be what it will end up being.

OK I got turned around because you are talking about the ATT phone but the thread name is asking if the T-Mobile bootloader is locked. Yes the ATT one is locked. But I don't think the T-Mobiole one is. Which I see now you were not asking about or claiming. My bad.

I am wondering is there any possibility that will Google release Nexus Note 3 (yes, Note 3 with totally plain Android like Nexus S4).
If so, that'll be good

If the bootloader is locked, this phone is a no go to me. I'll be disappointed for sure.

T-mobile model number. Does anyone know it? Like N9000, but for T-mo.

While this is excellent news, whatever the method is will not work on the AT&T variant.
This is a major deciding factor for me on getting the Note 4. Root is a must have just for AdAway and Xposed.

Because AT&T locks down all of their bootloaders. This makes it nearly impossible to root or flash custom roms. They've been doing this since last summer with the Galaxy S4.
Ya unfortunately. ATT's phone's for the most part have been rooted by geohots. Who now... Works for Google to fix the exploits for possible rooting. The ATT G3 was able to get rooted by Towelroot, I hope the same goes for Note 4... but I doubt it.
Yes, this is only for note 4's with unlocked bootloaders. It will not work on AT&T's or Verizon's. Possibly good news for the T-Mobile version though, as soon as we can get a stock rom dump to chainfire.
BTW: I would change my subject line OP so people don't get confused.
This is the first phone I have paid for not under contract. So as I started doing research u read about AT&T locking the bootloader. So last night I preordered the T-mobile phone just to have this ability. I did have to sign up for $50 a month just to be a customer but I will be a customer. I will cancel after the first month.

This will be my first time I am trying to convert a phone from one carrier to another. when I get the phone will I be able to just stick my existing AT&T sim card in to it and it work or will I have to wait for the 40 days and ask tmo to unlock it?
I know the iPhone 6/6+ came unlocked for tmo and you could just stick the AT&T sim card directly in to it and it would work.

From what I've gathered from the note 3 threads, we will most likely have to pay a website a fee to get an unlock code if we don't want to wait 40 days on contract for tmobile to do it. Chainfire released an app that had a "side effect" of carrier unlocking the sim for the Note 3. Whether that happens with the Note 4 remains to be seen. I'm just going to assume I'll have to pay a fee to an unlocking website.

I've had an htc one m7 with att and then wanted to sell it to a guy on craigslist who had t-mobile. you must sim unlock the device, it's a code. Just tell at&t or tmobile that you have a trip going to europe and need the phone unlocked to be able to use it. Then they will give you the unlock code. Put in the att sim card it will ask for a code then put it in.
What I did was I paid a guy on ebay 4$ to get the code and I got it within 5 seconds att was taking too long and the guy wanted the phone that day.
Guys are you sure that the T-Mobile Note 4 will fully work with AT&T?

No, and don't try it either.
CF-ROOT won't ever work on AT&T Note 4 because it requires an unlocked bootloader to achieve it.

Won't be able to tell you until tomorrow
For all of you who are freaking out about it being a locked bootloader...so was the LG G3 for AT&T...we just got TWRP on it last week. Took 3 months but it is doable from the right people.
It was called "Bump" and I have tested the unlock myself with full custom twrp recovery & root.

I believe it would have to be ported over. Change a few things.
g3 soon to be NOTE 4
Edit: from what I read (quick skim) that isn't a real bootloader unlock despite what they say and you need to "bump" the rom before you use it. So if you saw what I posted originally that should still work but you need to bump it first but since this isn't known territory for me if you didn't see it I wont re post just to be safe.

Why didn't you just buy International? Same price!

Those who are pledging for root and unlocked bootloaders, Why didn't you buy an International device for the same money?
I am waiting to see which device gets the most developer attention and which will work with ATT LTE before I jump into the Note 4 water. I may have to buy ATT for LTE but I don;t know about that for sure yet.

I'm using N910C on AT&T. LTE works, at least where I'm at (Ohio). It works out of the box for me while others say they have to call AT&T to have them provision your account with new IMEI.

Time sensitive: unlocked Note 4 work on Sprint?

I'm looking at purchasing an unlocked Note 4 (the buyer says he purchased unlocked via best buy. Does this mean it's the international version?). Will this work on Sprints network?
I know my current Note 3 has a sim looking tray from my card.
Thank you!
Unlocked could mean he bought the phone outright which means it will work for Sprint.
I would ASK him for more details.
Are you able to see the device first?
Also would an At&t Note 4 work for Sprint?
Would I have to root or unlock the GSM phone to work on a CDMA network?
If anyone could chime in that'd be great! Thanks!!

Just because you can turn on OEM-Unlock in developer settings, it doesn't mean it actually unlocks the bootloader, just a few higher lever operations. That's been like that since the S6. As a test try to flash a custom recovery or kernel, and most likely it will fail on the US versions, OEM on or off.

Not sure why you quoted me as I said I didn't have the S10, but you're also not exactly correct, either. I did have anS7, S8, and an S9 as well as a Note 8, Note9, and Note 10. The allow OEM unlock option is NOT available in the developer options on any of those devices (of course speaking of US models. And if I'm understanding correctly, the bootloader has been successfully unlocked on the 5G model. I could be wrong, as I couldn't care less about unlocking bootloader's, but that's just what I read. I will defer to @elliwigy and his expertise in this matter though.

Sorry, not sure why I quoted you, must have been half asleep. lol
Anyway there hasn't been an unlocked bootloader on a US device since the S6 (Tmo and Spr only), to verify if the OEM-Unlock does anything at all, try to flash a custom recovery or kernel, which most likely will fail on the US versions, OEM on or off.
