A few tips for battery:
Don't add too many widgets to your homescreen
Don't install too many apps
Uninstall any apps that you don't use
Reduce your brightness whenever you can
Overlocking your CPU will not only drain battery but also may cause random reboots
Turn off Wi-Fi when nt using
Turn off Mobile Data when not using
Installing for the first time:
Download the latest ROM
Rebot into your recovery
Wipe data, cache and dalvik-cache
If you are going to flash INT2EXT then wipe sd-ext too
Now flash the rom
After installation finishes install INT2EXT (optional)
Now you can reboot
First boot may take a long time for the scripts to initialize
Updating from a previous rom;
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvik-cache
Flash the rom
Flash INT2EXT (optional)
Flash GAPPS
Wipe cache again
Wipe dalvik-cache again and reboot
If you have any problems setting up your Google Account then reflash gapps.

Gonna try this ROM on my corporate Phone, needed INT2EXT cause no memory left to work with the phone
need exchange, vpn and space for tools, so hope it's what i'm looking for

What is Xylon?
A Generally based of many kinds of features around the Android Development and fits into minimal customization. It may act up like AOKP, but totally not at all. Overall, we're still in work in progress state of changing the base to slightly minimal like FNV before. This ROM is built off with GCC 4.7, O3, Linaro Strings enabled. (Galaxy Nexus Kernel, fusion with anarkia's horn, O3 and Linaro GCC 4.7.3 enabled.). Feature list will be available in the 2nd post. Changelogs. We don't usually write up but we will starting builds of 2.2. Again, it's a kang - kang - kang -o-rama ROM! ;D

I am installing the same way I always do which is wipe data>wipe cache>wipe dalvik>format system install zip but it says installation aborted. Any ideas?

I'm using CWM 6.0.2.5 which I have no problems flashing any other rom on this form, but could be the problem. I'm on Carbon right now and no problems flashing.

I used apkopt by coolbho3000( thread link : [DEVS] Optimize all APKs automatically, Reduce memory footprint! [Now with Zipalign] ) and managed to get a super slim LatinIME.apk( Only 13.9MB, down from 28.9MB ). I hope this is useful, as it'll help reduce your ROM size by 15MB. However, the only unfortunate thing is that the apk is not signed.

Yes I remember using apkopt for Sense 4 and 5. To sign an apk just use signapk.

ROM has halo. I'm not sure about hardware decoder but there is no reason for it not to work.

Flash the latest supersu. Then open the app and uncheck "Respect CM root settings".
During the installer
"wiping procedure.... The full wipe method
Format() expects 5 args, got 4"
Then stops and i click next and it then finish. it reboots back into my old rom.

man I tweaked hard I figured it out thx just one more question does anybody know why it keeps saying when I try to install from the sd card there was a problem parsing the package?

This installation error happens in the other KitKat ROM out right now too. Solution for now was to move the apk you want to install to the internal memory (sdcard0) and then it should install without the parse error.
Uses Samsungs media profiles for betters pictures
Does this actually make a difference ??
I wish there would be a way to port samsung camera app into this would make it just perfect But I'm sure that will take lots and lots of work maybe one day
Question:
What does the boot animation look like? Is it the cyanogenmod one or is it the google dots. I did a dirty flash and im not sure what has stuck. Ive been sitting at the google dots for about 5 mins now. (had google edition 4.3.1 installed prior)

Try to restart the download.
Just flashed this, but this is pretty close to a stock Google experience. I thought this would have a bunch of customization options like AOKP normally does. Might just take some time. Just a heads up to anyone looking to get a lot of AOKP features.

Question.. in cm11 under display settings, you can set custom led notifications for specific apps. Will that be implemented into aokp at some point or its that just a cm11 setting? I thought I remembered it being in aokp in the past.

Verified that it actually works, beats logo will not show up but don't worry.
Sorry for the dumb question but this Rom is 180 mb? I think I'm too used to roms being 1 gb lol.

Sounds about right. Let me guess, you're generally a user of Sense based ROMs, which are a lot larger. AOSP based ROMs (like AOKP and CM) are a lot smaller. CM, for example, is roughly 190ish: http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=m7vzw

Installation Instructions
Coming other ROM
1. You must be rooted!
2. You must have a custom recovery installed.
3. Wipe your device if you are not coming from PSD 4.+ already.
4. Flash the ROM zip, it could appear a warning (all data will be wiped due different partition table)
5. Reflash the ROM zip, it will continue now.
6. Flash the GAPPS.
7. Reboot. (It can take up to 5 min.)
8. Enjoy
