Hi
I tried many methods to turn off 2 cores for power saving but the 2 cores I turned off will come online themselves.
I am currently using CPU Tuner and quadcore manager plus. Is there any ways to lock the 2 cores so them won't come online? Can I turn off the cores by modifying system files?

In stock ROM we have ECO MODE right? Which turns off 2 cores? (Correct me if I am wrong here)
I use cm10.2.is there any way to port eco mode to Cm?

You can ask the devs regarding it, I suppose.
Trickstermod has this feature,to turn off cores.

Hello, tasker is the best. You can find a lot of tutorials and finished profiles. What do you need to automatize?

I need it to turn on wifi n off mobile data on specified time as well as ringer volume also

It's not a problem. I will be at home in 1-2 hours and I can help you to create these profiles. Just pm me what times you want to disable wifi, 3g etc..

OK I'm at home. Yes, you will be able to edit/modify profiles.
AutomateIT is free and simple to use! can be downlaod in the Play store
PhoneWeaver is another, paid but it works well and works on locations/times/calendar, etc. Tasker does all this too (and more) but is definitely more complicated to setup. There are some profiles already available that might help out though: http://tasker.wikidot.com/profile-index

Llama is free and simple. I bought tasker but use llama on backup phones.

I found it weird when I swipe2wake my nexus7 with bulletproof kernel.
Sometimes I can turn on the screen but cannot control it.
I thought it was a hardware problem but after exchange a new one , same problem-----turn on the touchscreen and can't control it to unlock.
Not always happen, just one or two times.
I guess it is related to the kernel and volts, so i use CM instead.
Who else finds this？

seriously? this option disables the other 2 cores?
i thought it helps in power management.. i mean disables other cores if not needed.. but you still have access to all 4 cores if apps need it..

How hot? Normal warmth or very very hot?
Also what are you doing when the heat starts? Normal stuff or gaming?
How quick become hot and with wath use...I use htc desire and its get hot dhen I texting or use whats up for 5 or 10 minutes, now I use HTC One S for 2 years and its only get hot when I havy use it and not as hot as desire.

I can never touch the power button or the volume keys as I shout OUCH!... its so hot...
