Hi guys, I opened this thread just to garner opinion about V6 supercharger and all other ram management scripts/apps, their effectiveness on our ICS roms. I use CM9 and just supercharged today, didn't really make a dramatic difference. In fact at times it feels more laggy than without supercharger. I'd like to know if anyone has a similar or different experience on any of the ICS roms for our phone.

Did u use the right way of using the v6,coz for ics u have to upload and download your system.jar from android mimics, bit different from the gb.
And i think v6 only would not be enough on ics, need more script like velocity or s97 juwe script and autokiller ram optimizer to boost the ram management that caused lag.

Yes! Absolutely, I did the services.jar patch and got 100% supercharged. Still assessing the performance but at times its more laggy than without the supercharger.

I dont know which one but i check on system with root explorer theres a 99supercharger inside,i dont really know, but i have no problem at all using it for 3 days. Or u can ask on that freeky section.
Anyway, its better use one v6 script on ur system. Or it wont work at all,or maybe other issues

I have asked the thread but no response atm. I know that. That's why if the included v6 is not the latest update from ics i will unsupercharge it and place the new one. That's why i need confirmation.

Yeah, you right. The best way to find a tweak/script that suit you properly is to test it by your own.
Thus, I recommend guys to test other known script - Thunderbolt script
I will test this mod later, which include LMK supercharge also
Wow.. nice one.. can i combine this tweak with v6, kick ass kernelizer, 3g, and geekny engine? Would have try it though if it can

V6-kickass-3g=match but i dont think for v6 and geeky,if you read previous from freeky, theres already v6 inside those scripts(freeky and greeky) but well, just suggestion..like i said we'll never now till we try.

Okie, I will give a short conclude on what I'm doing on my phone now.
You right, I using both forfivo kernel v2.2 with freeky engine, pretty good and smooth so far, at least less lag I see
But 1 thing should mention here, geeky engine make my phone more worst, feel slow sometimes (I asked the dev and he not sure the problem too). Test yourself and see how.
So if you use freeky engine, you should move xbin to system instead of system/etc, otherwise zipalign may not work

Hello, I'm really bored with my unrooted SGW, tends to lag at critical moments - There was an emergency but I couldn't freaking call anyone due to the lag I was having! Imagine if it was really important. Plus, Subway Surf tends to lag a lot when I play it on my phone. I love that game. okay? :crying:
I've saw CM10's JB on Youtube. Which was ultra fast and perfect for my criteria. However due to being a college student, the camera is vital for assignments that I may be involved with which opposes the slightly bad camera function? Therefore, I was wondering whether is there any awesome mod out there which will reduce the lag but also without distorting the camera's function.

Then the best choice would be cm9 b4 and as mentioned before go pristine and use this kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1966394
Differences between kernels: this kernel is based on the original one but this is OC/UV and has more governors and schedulers etc. And it is not pushed to the edge, it is actually pretty smooth and stable.

hii all the senior developers, I have a little question here, which ROM would u guys recommend for SGW GT-I8150 the most efficient and stable ROM with pretty decent visual?
Im currently on Bagux Project ROM 1.4 and im pretty satisfied with it actually, but im already getting bored with this one, so im looking for another good candidates for the replacement.. looking forward for your comments guys... Thanks, cheers...
Use cm 9 beta 4 by arco is very fast and stable

ur a college student ===> less time to try flashing alot of roms and needs a very stable rom
Solution ===> 1st- never go for JB roms cuz they r still in alpha stage so u dont know if they r gonna crash at anytime (it will b bad if ur busy and dont have time to flash another rom) and u also won't find a full featured camera thr
2nd- if u like ICS then go for cm9b4 and flash any custom kernel (castagnal or forfivo) to get it faster , it will b stable, smooth and with a good functioning cam
3rd- if u wanna save the data of ur game so u dont have to start all over again then u can do a full nandroid backup for ur phone or u can just backup the selected game with its data using go backup (u shall have root access to b able to backup data using go backup) , but it will b preferable then to use a custom GB rom cuz ur game backup might not work on ICS & JB

try using CHAINFIRE3d.....
If the game stays that way and TK asks for FC of the game, the game most likely don't fit your device. Try going pristine, and use kernel with bigmem.
I faced the same situation too... Jelly Bean sometimes cant run games like beach buggy blitz and Riptide gp... I use CM10 and SlimBean... Than i switch to ICS because its still not working...

Please suggest a custom stable ROM for best battery life. I have Samsung Wonder which i think is not very old and has very good battery. I recently rooted it and installed CyanogenMod 10.1, this ROM is great and on full charge it gives around 12-13 hours of battery life with Wifi On.
I normally turn On wifi and email exchange application, so please let me know if we have more option to increase battery life.

This device doesn´t support auto brightness. Neither in the stock ROM, nor in custom ROMs. There is simply no light sensor to support autobrightness. This device only offers a proximity sensor which also works in CM9 and this is telling me you have no clue what you are talking about.

So just because you faced some flickering while browsing you are claiming this ROM is not stable?
I assure you it´s way more stable than a stock ROM can be and this flickering means nothing. Probably the most unstable part is located in front of the LCD and pressed some buttons while browsing.
This is a screenshoot of my CM9 and it can last up to 7 days with one charge:
i am sorry honeyx that I posted my short experience of using this ROM
I did fresh install of Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 using CWM. The ROM is great, most stable of the ones I used (official ICS, Liquid Nitro and some other ICS based) it has very few random reboots, and I think that SD card is a reason to that. I really like the CM 10.1.3 but problem is that games simply work slowly. I have installed Fruit Ninja 1.8.8 which worked fine on other ROMs I tried but here it works slowl, and Subway Surfers for example won't even open. Is there any fix to this?
Also by the way... Should I flash p936 baseband since I live in Europe?
Any of the CM or AOSP based ROMs will give you poor gaming performance. Only ROMs based on official ICS will have the performance needed IMHO. With that being said, currently I am running NitroTNT, which gives me the best balance of battery, performance and stability. You might also try SphinX which is based off of official Jellybean. Even though it isn't as good as ICS for games, it still is a lot better than CM.

Why might this be? Is it because the official-based roms use the kernel for this phone while CM uses a CM-based kernel? Can we maybe get CM10.1.3 working with an official jellybean-based kernel? @lyfkevin maybe you can provide some input.

Hmm that happened when I used Liquid Nitro too, it might be an issue with messenger. I think I'll replace it with a custom voice recorder. Oh and 1 suggestion (maybe I should have posted it on the Nitro TnT thread) I think you could have removed the stock calculator... There are 2 calculators there Anyway thanks for the ROM! It works fine for me!

Umm sorry to bother you, but your ROM sometimes boot loops. It happened 3 times and I had to do hard reset. Any fix to this?

Go to the 1st post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297229 and download original NitroTNT theme. Install with CWM, some people have issues with the modified KronicUI mod. This will fix it. Sorry
