Soo. My phone is bricked for almost 4 months now, cause i installed a kernel manually thru terminal, and i typed the code correctly but a bootloop and yeah no recovery. So i tried odin and that Son of a truck isnt detecting my phone. Is it because i swapped Pc's and i never connected it in normal state to my pc ? Or is it cause my charger is derpy and needs to be inserted correctly still. What should i do dudes?
Can you get into download mode, or is it proper hard bricked?

Sorry for my english

see if you can get into download mode. if you pc(or odin) doesnt detect try reinstalling drivers. if you cant get into download mode you could try using a jtag and see if changing your usb cable works

OK pull battery memory card out let it sit for a few minutes redownload the stock tar file and make sure u put it under PDA and only auto reboot should be checked. Then with the battery out plug your phone in to ur PC and push 1 and power and see if it goes into download mode

are you using stock cable?
Use a blackberry original micro usb data cable.
I had same problem. But using blackberry data cable solved my problem. If your battery is not charged then get it charged from external sources.
Also try flashing odin without battery and without micro sd card
Samsung stock cable is the main cause of soft bricking of epic.

I recently got a used T-Mobile S 2 and just tried to root it. The computer will not see the phone when I hook it up to the USB. I've tried the Odin method and it won't even register it's plugged in. I've installed and reinstalled kies 3 times and I've even tried just installing the drivers by themselves. Is there a way to root the phone without having to use the USB? I'm guessing the USB connector on the phone is bad even though it's charges just fine.

If it charges ur fine, is the device in DL mode? What is the procedure u are using, with this phone the only way to root it is Odin, or maybe adb but I'm not sure, and if u have kies installed on ur pc Odin won't see the phone I repeat remove kies, once ur rooted u will never use it again anyway kies interferes with Odin, make sure u have the OEM USB cord too...

I'm using the volume up+down with the power button to access the download screen with Odin and it never reads that the phone is plugged in. I've uninstalled Kies and still doesn't work. Now I've noticed that I can only go into the e3 recovery mode.

So the phone accesses doenlode mode? Try holding just the vol+vol- buttons and plugging it in to the USB while connected to PC, that should put u in DL mode, if not it might be ur port, have u tried all other ports and different usb wires? Sorry if my questions are trivial but I need all the info if I'm going to help

Yeah I've tried 3 different cables and 2 different computers. I'm leaning towards the USB Jack. I took the phone apart and found corrosion on the board towards the bottom so it looks like the phone has some water damage.

Thats most likely ur culprit then, it may be just corroded enough to not hit the right pins to push data through odin, u could try to replace the USB com, u can get one for around 30bucks online and its an easy fix if u have a lil knowledge, the bad news is without it rooting is next to impossible ...

I mean if u don't want to try the fix u could try rooting it through wireless adb but that's a long shot at best, just started using wireless adb an not even sure if its possible to root it like that but u could look into it...

Hello guy's,
My device crashed suddenly while i was cutomizing my rom. But after that it does not turn on at all. I don't even get the White Galaxy Note Text. I have tried to boot into Recovery or Download Mode but it does not work at all...
can you help me?:crying:
You could try mskips toolkit from skipsoft.net but sounds like you need a jig. Are you getting a red flashing light? That normally means sds if you are
Sent from my GT-N7105 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No it does not do anything, no light ... nothing at all...
What's going on

So I think it may be hardbricked, so i hope, withe a JIG to get in Downloadmode to get it running again.
Seems its just broken the glass on the front
Sent from my XT535 using xda app-developers app
No i dont think so, because i have already tried to start the Download Mode blind, but Odin did not recognised my Device so it should not be a Display defect...
So i plugged in The USB JIG but it does not do anything at all
A week ago I flashed deodexed stock 4.1.2. No network. So I flashed indian baseband. Problem started when by mistake I flashed baseband of GS3 (gti9300). I flashed it's modem back. Everything works fine except it freezes in sleep when charging and also doesn't connect to computer. I have kies installed. Pc shows "New Hardware Found ,7 CDCs". Everything works fine except this..Please help me.. I've tried stock rom(4.1.2, 4.3, 4.4.2).. no luck.. thanks in advance..

Now I'm on 4.3. Problem is phone freezes as soon as charger is plugged in. And also on pc . It doesn't connect as a media device. It connects as 7 CDCs

Do you have developer mode activated?
Activate it and set USB to USB debug and try to connect your pc. See if 7 cdc still the same.

If flashing clean rom is an option then do it. Flash the rom that you are actually on. Stock rom. Clean install.
Edit : on your last try you made a mistake of flashing other model rom?

Maybe is bootloader issue? Try the latest ND3 bootloader? Of course it will include KNOX...
It worked!! Flashed the bootloader and done) . Thanks)) it's usable now!!). Except it responds to a charger and s pen a little late....

So last night I went to check my phone and it was off so I figured it had gone off on its own but upon trying to turn it on again I found that nothing was working. I plugged it in and got no response. Took out the battery, tried to boot to download mode, or reboot and have tried just about everything to be found online. I left it plugged in all night and nothing. I called samsung and their suggestion was to hold the power button pressed down for a few seconds so after that extremely well thought out suggestion didn't work they said that I'll have to take it in on monday as their service places here are closed during the weekends.
my problem is that I haven't backed up my info and I can't afford to lose it and they said that they will wipe it once they get their hands on it. I don't have a second battery to test but I just plugged it into my computer and it was recognized as a USB device. Nothing more, not what it is and doesn't show up anywhere and nothing has happened on the phone but at least it was recognized.
This is the most messed up issue I have every encountered and it happened entirely on its own. Im all stock and am running purely simple apps like viber and whatsapp and seriesguide and family guy. Its the most mild mannered phone and has the most messed up issue. Its like someone sucked the electricity from it. Please give me some ideas
