I'd like to mount a bluetooth rear view camera in my car (vw golf 4/jetta) and use an android tablet for that. Can't belive, there are no bt cameras. So far I've only found cams with rca/chinch out, which would require some kinda transmiters and cables.

I got a weird problem. It's a pumpkin headunit that can with the car I got. It's been working fine ever since I've gotten it. But last night when I was driving the music stopped playing and the rear view camera came on the display while i was on the freeway. Clearly I was not in reverse as I was going forward. It seems like it was doing it when I was just going forward, until I came to a stop then it'll go back to playing music, but then once I got going again it'll display the rear camera on the unit. I wouldn't mind if it kept the music going. None of the buttons are responsive when it is in rear camera view mode.
I've tried a factory reset, it is still doing it. Even today when I the car was not on. I was just setting the radio presets again, low and behold the rear view camera came on but for a few seconds and went away. It is still doing it when the car was off. I'm kind of confused as what the problem is.
Is autopumpkin.com working for anyone also? It doesn't seem like they are in business anymore?

I bought reverse camera and tried to connect it into front camera input(I was curious how it would look like) and since then its stuck on camera view. Even after disconnecting camera. Only solution was disable "prohibit reverse" in factory settings menu, but with "prohibit reverse" disabled is obviously not showing reverse camera when I gear the reverse down. Turns out it was the canbus decoder that has gone haywire. It reads the canbus and checks for the reverse message and turns on the camera. With it unplugged I do not get random rear camera view anymore, but I also lose my steering wheel button to control the unit. I'll see if pumpkin will help me out, my unit is out of warranty.

Set it up on my 2015 Forde Kuga, and it looks very nice. except for 2 issues that drive me crazy.
The first one is that when I put the car in a reverse, the rear camera live video does not pop up to my screen as expected. The camera seems to work fine as I open the camera app and put the car to reverse, rear video feed shows up.
The other issue is that although the system specs sheet claims to control the climate, A\C info does not display and I'm of course unable to set it from the screen.
The seller claims that canbus decoder is built into the circuit and there's no need of an external one.

I have a Max10 px6 unit. I was thinking about adding two side cameras that would activate with turn signals. But the unit has only one trigger wire for reverse camera. Would adding a camera switcher such as the one below solve the problem?

I bought a rearview mirror with a camera, and it was working perfectly (4G Dash Cam 12 Inch Car Rearview Mirror ADAS Android 8.1 FHD Auto Recorder GPS Navigation Dash Camera Rear View Mirror Car DVR - Link to item - Z69-4G ) However, now it displays the message "Please insert reverse!" and the rear camera doesn't activate. I have tried checking the camera connection. I even bought a new camera, but the issue seems to be with the mirror itself. I discovered that the connector for the rear camera has a built-in microswitch for identification. I have tried pressing it several times, but without success.
