[Guide] Change Boot Logo in CM7 (Red M for Motorola)

This application is to change the motorola M that appears before the boot image
Requirements:
1) Bitmap image format size 480 x 182
2) Have installed on the PC. NET Framework 3.5 (To run the program)
How to use:
1) Run program
2) Click in File > Open > Choose your Bitmap
3) Click in File > Save (in the open window, file name is recommended: mylogo, in select file type as: Milestone Bootlogo (*. bin))
4) To install: copy mylogo.bin in root sd
5) Run the terminal and type the following:
su, enter and confirm root permissions

the name is MilestoneBootLogo, you can download in Attached Files

Thanks for the guide! I've been using Dedraks' Splash Tools app to change the boot logo (aka splash screen). Are there advantages to using this method instead? Does the Splash Tools app cause problems on CM7?

Splash Tools is not if it causes problems in cm7, but MilestoneBootLogo is very easy to use and works well..

i did exactly what was said over here...after rebooting i saw my new logo at the start, but it now says that i am on international roaming...did not change anything else on my phone...please tell me why this is happening...

your problem is rare, probably changing the boot logo again can solve the problem

Is there a way you can port this to Mac.

got everything messed up, used nandroid backup to get back d phone running, and tried again..still the same problem..

Snapdragon Boot animation change in Xiaomi Redmi 1S or in any other Android Phone

Hi Guys, this is my first thread for changing boot animation in Xiaomi Redmi 1S or any other Android Phone but I tried it on Xiaomi Redmi 1S.
Below is the Instruction.
Requirements:
1.Rooted Xiaomi Redmi 1S
2.ES Explorer installed
3.Read/Write permission to ES Explorer
4.And last follow the Instruction
Download the boot animation file from attachment and copy this to phone’s SD card.
1.Open ES Explorer
2.Click on menu button and then click on Tools
3.Click on button in front of Root Explorer
4.Then click on Root Explorer
5.A new dialog box appear, click on mount R/W
6.Then a new dialog box appear select R/W in / and /system and if any other partitions available, select those also.
7.Now go to /system/media partition and copy the original boot animation file for backup.
8.Copy the downloaded boot animation from SD card and Paste the file to /system/media.
9.And change permission as given below from boot animation’s properties.
10.For properties long press on boot animation file and choose properties or more option and then properties.
11.And reboot your smartphone.

Yes, I think that's yours. Anyway, have you reduced its size yet? It was 41MB mate. Too big for a bootanimation IMHO.

Bro i have tried many ways to reduce the size of the images,but the images have the smallest possible size,the zip size is large because it contains 51 images and all are in hd.if you any method to compress them then let me know

DO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Make sure Your Galaxy Y is rooted
Backup your original bootanimation file to SD Card
Use root browser or root explorer to do this
How to Flash:
A. Stock ROM (any Stock ROM firmwares):
1. Download bootanimation.zip and bootmod.zip
2. Extract bootmod.zip
3. Replace bootanimation and samsungani to system\bin
4. Copy bootanimation.zip to system\media
5. Change the permission to rw-r--r--

Just copy the stock bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg files and save it on your external sd card, pc, laptop or whatever so you can have them as back up files. Making full backup is not really necessary, it's all up to you.

m using touchwiz v10 and it has a boot animation.. and m going to use avengers boot animation which is of 73 mb.. if i need my previous one back then.. i have to flash using his file.. which is currently in my phone .. ? that 5 mb zip file of boot animation.. by putting that file in extsdcard.. ?

Let me just say that there are two ways you can change the boot animation. One, you can replace the bootanimation.zip in (system/media) which contains part 0 and part 1, this is where pngs are located inside. Second, you can flash a zip file that has modified bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg inside (these files will replace the stock bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg). You cannot flash the .qmg files by itself 'cause you need to put them on a flashable zip (just like the ones I uploaded in this thread). Once you have the flashable zip that contains your stock boot animation (.qmg) files, put it on your external sd card and flash it. Thus, restoring your BA.

Can u check the file twice as the file on gdrive is not flashable ..
It is a zip file which need to be renamed as bootnaimation.zip and need to be placed in "/system/media” with properties rw-r--r--
