- force fast charge
- sweep2wake, logo menu, logo wake, logo sleep, home2wake, doubletap2wake, and pocket protection (all from tbalden)

To change Sweep2Wake options, you can use:

Or echo values in manually (in a terminal emulator), for example:
su echo 3 > /sys/android_touch/home2wake

Nice, looks awesome.

Can anyone tell me how the WiFi compares to cm? I haven't had a chance to run the CM build, but wifi seems fine for me

Curious, since this is based off CM and not Sense, is it even possible that we could see the Sense 5 camera with Zoe and Gallery in this ROM? These features were huge factors in going to the One and I'd love to see them in a CM based ROM.

I echo your sentiment. Huge fan of CM but have fallen in love with the stock camera experience on this device.

That would be great! I will flash this as soon as that happens. Can't wait! Thanks for bringing this to our phone!
So far is rock solid in stability and performing very well. Seems like every time I ask "I wonder if it has this feature..." I end up finding it! I've been beating it up pretty hard, installing a solid stream of apps back to back, running benchmarks, etc. So far so good. GPS works fine. Bluetooth seems to work just fine. I can't say enough good things about it. I don't use the IR blaster so that isn't an issue for me. Will keep updating as I try more features and let you guys know if I run into any difficulties. MANY thanks to the developers for this awesome ROM!
09/22 Update:
Still haven't run into any problems with the ROM. I started fresh with this one, so I haven't run TiBu yet. Only oddity I've noticed is when running Quadrant, the text in the results is super duper tiny. Not sure if that's a quadrant issue, 4.3 issue or ROM issue, but it still works so *shrugs*. On another note, ran Antutu and it scored extremely well, above the standard One average. Liking this ROM more and more and still feel like I've only explored about half of it.
I flashed it, everything has gone smoothly so far thanks!!

No. They require Sense frameworks which AOSP doesn't have.
Are there any screenies of this ROM?

To me, most aosp's look the same on boot, it's the customization that sets then apart.

We really aren't CM based - we are based off AOSP, and use CM for things like device trees and kernels if we don't have a kernel developer for that phone. Otherwise we may use select patches and features from CM, but definitely not enough to make us "cm based".
New nightlies are out - click Nuke's nightlies in the OP, then m7vzw, then the 09/22/13 version. There's no need to reflash gapps, we automatically back them up and restore them while flashing

a note about linaro (warning, tech mumbo jumbo ahead)
These builds do NOT include the new Linaro optimizations. The optimizations don't increase the speed of Android by 100%, nor do they inject butter. They use a newer toolchain to compile Android, which has more optimizations. The Linaro people have also made the proper changes in Android code to allow builds to be compiled with -O3 instead of -O2 flags (think of it as another pass of code optimizations).
Please do not ask us whether we will include them in the future. We like speed as much as the next guy, but we want to make sure that it doesn't break ANYTHING. When/if it's ready, you'll know.
Enjoy!

I'll report later.
Edit:
OK, that rom is extremely smooth, much better than other AOKP roms I've tested (it's based on Andromadus as I can see so that is clear for me).
But there is one thing that makes me that I cannot use this rom: it is battery drain by AlarmManager wakelock (it's about 20% now). I know that it isn't connected with THIS rom, because I had this also on Andromadus Beta 3. If anyone know any sollution for this issue I will appreciate it very much.
Anyway, thanks @adamz667 for Your work
Running now, I've been waiting for AOKP on my DZ!
Runs good so far, had some text do the crazy stuff it does on our ICS but it disappeared quickly.
Pretty smooth, I don't know what it is but the launchers just never feel quite up-to-speed with ICS on my brother's SGS (CSpire Showcase) or my Transformer Prime. Can't wait to see some tablet mode
First, I need to find a way to fix keyboard/led/camcorder. When it will be fixed then I will try to optimize rom and look after tweaks/mods.
SGS is similar to Nexus S, so they don't have a big problems with GPU drivers and HW acceleration probably and I think that is the reason of smoother launcher. But I could be wrong
Does this ROM doesn't have the invisible text in some applications? I really need this fixed before I start using ICS
My bank applications work fine in GB, but not in ICS (some text is invisible)

It happens, but not like I've seen it happen in most others. Usually I have to exit and re-enter apps a time or two for text to start displaying right, but on this one I can just kind of move around the app and everything starts adjusting itself and showing up.
Just to clarify, you don't mean actual missing text do you, but the way letters will heavily distort and get close to "vanishing?"
no I actually meant missing text, the text is just not there...
not the distortion thingy.

Just check with alarm wakeup you device (BBS -> Alarms). For me right now it is phone and gsf (because of 3g connection enable and this use alarms a lot).
Updated OP.
Okay, so broken things should not be broken now Now, I need to make some clean up and push code to github.
Some AOKP related options like Themes and Pulse led on battery low probably will not work. But i will look on it.
So if you can - test it a lot, and if you have some problems - desrcibe it and attach some logs.

Installed last night, set it up how I like, all seemed well. Alarm goes off this morning, and as soon as I touch the screen it FC's. Fine, at least it went off lol. Get to work, set it down in front of me and realize that the Google Account Manager is messing up so I start searching out this thread. Find this thread, and when I look down it's infinitely bootlooping lol
Right now I've moved to MIUI.us as I test something out for another poster, but I wanted to let you know about it. Also, no Mobile Data toggle. So, you're building these from AOKP source correct? Wouldn't the Milestones be the ones to port over since they're considered the most stable?
Thank you for the work!
Hm, it's strange, because I have no problems with alarm. Did you do a full wipe before rom installation? It is also recommended to make a logcat dump, so I can see what went wrong.
Yes, I'm building it from AOKP source code. Latest build is based on Milestone 5, but there are still some problems with device configuration files and libs. It looks like AOKP is not fast developed as CyanogenMod (and Andromadus so) is. I need time to figure it out.

Yes, full wipe. I'll install again later on and see if I can't replicate the issue.
I see. Well again, thank you, AOKP is just the bees' knees for me, I love ICS and I love all the extra options they put right into the ROM with it.
I will do cleaner build tomorrow and see if it will be more stable.
Also I would like to add mobile data and 2g/3g switch and other tweaks, but if rom is not stable I don't want to mess it more.

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone.
For more information about PARANOIDANDROID please check this website
Features :
PAL, First time in Android history that Per-App-Layout has been realized
This rom features a setting called Per-App-Density - PAD. It basically allows you to scale apps, make them bigger or smaller. This is a must for tablet mode since it shrinks your apps considerably, making them useless. you can even scale widgets and framework components like the navigationbar. You can define an apps native DPI with it, make it look stock, smaller or bigger than that, your decision.
All apps are depicted at DPI 182 per standard. No other rom has that feature right now
Google Play does not allow density changes and will stop working if you mess around with that. This rom fixes that problem for you 100%.

FAQs For PARANOIDANDROID :
Global density :
Is the one used by your hardware configuration and all non PAD touched applications. It's the old one that you can change with build.prop, and this one can get you outside of tablet mode - Phone mode. Don't touch it if you dont know what you're doing. This one has nothing to do with PAD or PAL, as it's the one designed by google.
Click to collapse
Default SystemUI DPI :
User interface density, can be reflected on statusbar, Recent apps, etc. This one can't get you outside of your current mode.
Click to collapse
Deafult User DPI :
Is the one used when your app is not on pad.prop list, so when you run a new app that it's installed by you, and not on /system/app, it will run at this density. This one cant get you outside your current mode neither.
Click to collapse
Some Other Facts :
:: You cant change framework dialogs (like when you hold power button) density on tab mode yet, don't waste your time (it's limited from 120 to 128 global density so it's not a huge difference)
:: Keyboard must be on the same global density, for tablet mode (i have not tried phone mode)
:: Disable Settings>System>Statusbar>Auto Hide statusbar
:: If you see the dock on launchers in tablet mode, and not the old layout, this is NORMAL, it was ugly before, and now it's preset to phone mode at 240 density. If you want to get the old ugly tablet mode for launchers, go to settings > paranoid > hybrid settings > list apps, select your launcher, put density to 120-140 and put in on tablet mode
:: I'm not the responsible that some apps, being on phone mode, and seted up to tablet mode looks ugly. Google is. Go blame google!
:: The message that appears every time that you change DPI or layout mode for any app IS NORMAL, we put in there so changes can be applied, APP IS NOT FORCE CLOSING, we're asking you to force close, please read at least!

D4 - ParanoidAndroid Team.
This post is for the AOKP ROM from the Desire Z section
Another port from me. I would like to give thanks to the following:
-adamz667 - his ROM is used here. thanks to him for letting me port it! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642443
-blackwing182 - used his ROM as a base, thank you for that
-Synthetic.nightmare - for helping me get wifi working and for the kernel, creamed coconut and frosted cherry
-Mr.Highway - for his port guide. you guys should use it and give him thanks
-all the other devs that helped me (you know who you are )
I wont be concentrating on this ROM as much as the CM9 one. do not expect me to solve all problems. thank you.
this is mainly for those who wanted nav buttons in a ROM. my CM9 port doesnt have it, but this AOKP one does, so should be fine. its a bit more buggy than the cm9 one, but should be alright for daily use
now onto the ROM:
adamz667 said:
I would like to present you Android Open Kang Project builds for HTC Vision.

It's also DEV thread, so if you have a some problems with rom, first, try to find fix by yourself. If you can't - add post with description of your problem and LOGCAT.
Any help is welcome
I don't do this for any purposes, I just want to learn something new, so if you want to thanks thnk about AOKP Team and/or Andromadus Team

- everything should be fine
What's not working:

If you're installing it for first time (coming from other rom) do FULL WIPE.
How to install:
1) Put rom and GApps on your sd card.
2) Go to CWM (or other) Recovery.
3) Do a nand backup.
4) Do a full wipe (fist installation - coming from other rom) or just wipe cache/dalvik cache (update).
5) Flash rom.
6) Flash GApps.
7) Reboot (first boot can take a while).
How to install TabletUI
1) Put update zip on sd card.
2) Open ROM Control and enable Navigation Bar, but don't reboot phone now.
3) Change LCD Density to any lower than 171 (e.g. 165 / General UI).

a note about linaro (warning, tech mumbo jumbo ahead)
These builds do NOT include the new Linaro optimizations. The optimizations don't increase the speed of Android by 100%, nor do they inject butter. They use a newer toolchain to compile Android, which has more optimizations. The Linaro people have also made the proper changes in Android code to allow builds to be compiled with -O3 instead of -O2 flags (think of it as another pass of code optimizations).
Please do not ask us whether we will include them in the future. We like speed as much as the next guy, but we want to make sure that it doesn't break ANYTHING. When/if it's ready, you'll know.

use the above quote for some info. for fixing, dont expect me to be able to fix all things
other things that work specifically for the myTouch 4G:
-wifi, bluetooth, gps, etc.
-trackpad wake
-camcorder: can record in 480p, CIF, and QVGA mode. DO NOT record in 720p mode or it will cause the camera to crash and not load. only fix will be to reboot your phone, so be careful. FFC records as well, only in CIF or QVGA mode.
-camera flash works fine
-nav buttons are in! if you want tablet mode ui*, see above quote. also, nav buttons require a special DPI, so see above. *tablet mode may not work for our phone, since this is a port. if it does work, thats good! whoever wants to test it, be my guest. also nav buttons are buggy. the glow doesnt disappear
-idk if netflix works, so tell me please <- confirmed it works by one person so far
-instagram works
-temple run loads, and i was able to play it. could represent that all games are playable, not too sure
-editing phone number is included out of the box. just flash, and its there
bugs:
-i do not know if themes work well with build 38. test out please
-please tell me
-do not flash wifi calling fix right after flashing the ROM. flash the ROM and everything else EXCEPT the wifi calling. after it boots up, then you can go ahead and flash wifi calling
-SMS notification not showing, so here's a fix: get the cm9 mms.apk and replace the aokp one
Instructions:
1. wipe data, system, etc.
2. flash ROM
3. flash gapps (http://goo.im/gapps - use/download CM9 one if you do not already have it)
4. flash AOKP port from Vision FFC fix v2
for updates, make sure to flash the files mentioned above. also, i do not think a full wipe is needed, but if problems arise, then full wipe. thanks
Optional:
1. flash a different kernel (link down below)
2. flash ICS BW Emoji for some black and white emoji in the system! cant send with emojis though
3. flash AOKP port HDPI Mms NewLine mod (or whatever name it is) - pressing enter will create a new line in text message (its in AOKP extras in dev host)
link to ROM & required files: http://d-h.st/users/chickenfactory/?fld_id=2739#files - Milestone 6 (latest)
link to kernels: http://d-h.st/users/chickenfactory/?fld_id=2744#files (i recommend the aospX frosted cherry kernel)
link to extras: http://d-h.st/users/chickenfactory (do not flash speakerfix. thats may be only for cm9)
one more thanks: thanks to all of you, community! enjoy the ROM port

a note about linaro (warning, tech mumbo jumbo ahead)
These builds do NOT include the new Linaro optimizations. The optimizations don't increase the speed of Android by 100%, nor do they inject butter. They use a newer toolchain to compile Android, which has more optimizations. The Linaro people have also made the proper changes in Android code to allow builds to be compiled with -O3 instead of -O2 flags (think of it as another pass of code optimizations).
[ROM][PORT][AOKP]blindICE/blindBEAN port
This post is the blindICE/AOKP Jellybean
*i do recommend the above port, since it has mostly everything working. theyre practically the same thing (to me), but i could be wrong. anyone can tell me the differences would be good
First off I would like to thank the following:
-blindndumb - for letting me port the ROM http://www.blindndumb.com/
-blackwing182 - for letting me use his ROM
-elginsk8r: for the kernel
-shrome99
-aaraya1516: for his never ending help in compiling the kernel and files for me. thank you!!
-synthetic.nightmare - for his help in wifi, bluetooth, etc. and for the kernel, creamed coconut and frosted cherry
-Mr.Highway - for his porting guide
-the other devs
-my testers: jamkul and exemp30
This ROM was a request from a user, so I made it for him and sharing it with you all
what works (blindICE only):
-camera and camcorder (480p and below for back camera; FFC: CIF or QVGA)
-the main things
bugs (blindICE only):
-trackpad isnt fully working. can only scroll, but cannot click an app or whatever
-you tell me
-be sure to flash another kernel. the wifi will not work. i must have messed up on the kernel for the ROM. without flashing another kernel, wifi wont work
-do not flash wifi calling fix right after flashing the ROM. flash the ROM and everything else EXCEPT the wifi calling. after it boots up, then you can go ahead and flash wifi calling
-SMS notification not showing, so here's a fix (or do not check this setting): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28438030&postcount=136
-this is more of an AOKP bug: top left hand corner of notification pulldown, date is not present. only way to fix this is to enable weather and enable weather panel
Instructions (blindICE only):
1. wipe data, system, etc
2. flash ROM
3. flash gapps
4. flash blindICE FFC v2 fix
5. flash blindICE trackpad fix
6. flash a different kernel (resolves the bootloop problems everyone has been having with my ports)
*steps 4-6 do not have to be in order
Optional(blindICE only):
1. flash wificalling rilfix
2. test: flash Phone.apk only for AOKP to change phone number under phone settings
3. test: for SIP calls, try adb push the android.software.sip.voip.xml file in my dev host to /system/etc/permissions
4. flash the ICS BW emoji file to have black and white emojis across the system (where supported)
5. flash AOKP port HDPI Mms NewLine mod (or whatever name it is) - pressing enter will create a new line in text message (its in AOKP extras in dev host)
ROM & required files: http://d-h.st/users/chickenfactory/?fld_id=4266#files - v12 (latest)
Kernels & extras: http://d-h.st/users/chickenfactory
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AOKP Jellybean Builds (w/. 3.0 kernel):
Instructions:
1. flash ROM
2. flash gapps
3. flash LowMicFix.zip
Optional:
1. ICS Beats Audio v3
2. ICS BW emojis
ROM link: http://d-h.st/users/chickenfactory/?fld_id=6651#files
for more info on this port, check this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1605896
what doesnt work (for AOKP Jellybean only):
-FFC
-idk what else
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
extras for blindICE:
-beats audio v3
-WiFi calling
-greek and chinese input. flashable zips. in dev host
extras for AOKP Jellybean
-beats audio v3

Hmmm...either the lordmod or aospx one since both have smartassv2 as the governor. That's a good governor for a balance of performance and battery life. But if you want many governors to choose from, use aospx

Thanks. I am gonna try it and I will tell you my feedback about the ROM and the kernels.
I had a FCC when I wanted to switch to frontal camera and now I can not start the camera .It says "Unfortunately , Camera has stopped"

Also clear camera data if you cannot start camera. If that doesn't work, reboot

We brought in the 4.2 stuff that is currently in aosp, which is stuff that you won't really see, like the browser engines and stuff. It doesn't include 4.2 apps, those you will have to get yourself

Tips
1. Missing the stock Sony UI? Check out this awesome theme - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thomassafca.theme.sonyuxp.free
2. Getting lots of battery drains because of apps like Facebook? - Go to Settings--->Developer Options and enable Developer Shortcut. After using an app like Facebook, go to the recent apps menu and press and hold on the app in the list and you will see the option for force stop. Note:- Force stopping an app will prevent the app from starting again on it's own unless the user himself starts the app [so you won't receive any notifications but your phone is guaranteed to get deep sleep]
3. Laggy launcher? I'd recommend using Nova. It's much smoother than Launcher3
4. Music Lover? Viper4Android works perfect on this rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
Note:- Please install it as a system app so that it does not get killed by the system
5. Working walkman - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48165168&postcount=337
6. Want to play 1080p videos? Please install MX Player. It can play even 1080p vids in H/W mode
OMG......Super cool
Downloading ;D
Keep it uP :good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good:

This rom is for Xperia S (nozomi). It shows Acro S in the DevDb because this forum's name is Sony Xperia Acro S but the rom is definitely for XS:good:

I should have seen the sources before posting or should have guess that as you develop for S/SL(Xperia Nexus ROM).
Sorry for disturbing you for such a lame question

Well it is using stuff from CM too, according to the manifest.xml file of this rom and it's using cm11's kernel. But according to Carbon's website, it is based on AOSP.

No no it's actually my fault. Sorry about that. Other roms and projects on DevDb seem to show Sony Xperia S so it has to be a fault on my part. I'll try to correct it asap. Thanks for bringing it to my notice.
Wow yeah! finally Carbon Rom for XS!
will try this soon
Hey nice work guys.
I KNOW this is the wrong place to ask, but is RaymanFX the only one working on getting things working for KitKat for the Xperia S? Coz he is on "leave" now so we wont see any updates for a while again?
Wow, great contribution. Keep it up:good:
Yes ! Yes! Thanks for this awesome ROM

Nice rom, I like the small customizations, waiting for more. However some bugs which definitely aren't in openSEMC is for example graphical bug with recents screen where apps in the list have "pixel faults" i Don't know how to say it, tried to to screenshot, ended up with this, so screenshot does not work. I have not yet tried if mic and camera work in hangouts, but I guess not, because it does not in openSEMC. Keep up the good work and maybe you or someone else you know is capable of fixing the bugs while rayman is away.

This is a known bug. Kindly check the bug list in the first post. I'm working on it. I've found some commits from Rayman's kernel which should hopefully fix it. Will try my best to fix it
