Not sure what you think anyone here can do for you. It sounds buggered to me... How old is it? You're likely going to have to RMA it for a repair under warranty.

have you turned negative mode on, hold power for option to turn off

remove the battery leave it out for few hours or a day then try again... other than that no clue...you will have to send it to a Samsung store for servicing if under warranty they will fix for free

Give us some clues..
i) Does your phone or screen get hotter when you have this problem?
ii) Do you run a custom ROM or Kernel on your GNex? If true, tell us which..
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I just unrooted to see if that was the problem so no I have no rom just android 4.0.4 and locked bootloader .
Test something for me , touch ur screen very lightly and move from screens now when that works see if u can touch the navigation buttons very lightly like u did he screen . And tell me if it works

And it happens mostly when I charge it or hot

If it only happens when you're charging, Its because of your charger. My screen would go wonky on my epic with a cheap charger I have at work.

I tried that and it's ok on my device. Have you tried a different charger? Maybe your charger has a problem.
Just give it as try..

Do you have this problem on your Note II?

Hey Guys,
I just found a problem on my note ii. I wanted to know if it's just me or if it happens with you guys as well. It happened with my old my Note II, so I exchanged it. The problem is still there with the new note.
So here is how you find the problem.
- Take out your S Pen.
- Go to the S Pen Section
- Create a Note.
- Then go to the right side of your phone, next to the center.
- Keep scribbling up and down, till you find a dead spot.
Let me know if it happens to you guys too.
Thanks.
I did this and noticed nothing unusual.

This happens to my Note II. There's dead spots in the empty spot. I just wanted to know if it was me or some other people as well. This is my replacement phone, it happened to the old one as well.
Nope, my phone is working flawlessly!!!

Thank you so much guys! I appreciate it.
I'll be heading back to T-Mobile with this.
I am able to write on the entire side of my phone (both sides that is).
My problem with the note 2 is that stock alarm clock doesn't work, I set it up and nothing! Anyone else?

seems to be working fine here, are you sure you set up everything correctly? tone? melody? vibration? that's weird
No problem here. Have the device replaced.
Are you using a case with a magnet latch? That could be whats causing the dead spot
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
mine is perfect doesnt have any dead spot

Light/proximity sensor question

Does anyone else's sensor glow red? I tried to take a pic using the front cam and a mirror. The glow is very exaggerated in the pic.

Nope. Mines not rooted though.

Might want to get it checked out bc mine did that for a while and now my proximity sensor just doesnt work. Im bringing mine to the store to get it replaced
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
just looked at it again and now its off. guess i'll have to start reading up on the unroot how to threads lol.
Yes mine glows red. Even when it wasn't rooted. There are a number of threads about it. Unrooting won't have any effect. I've just gotten used to it.
Well if he brings it in he should unroot it to avoid any conflicts. I pretty much wasted my trip to the sprint store when I went to resolve this issue last week and they simply told me that since I was rooted there was nothing they could do. I knew I could argue but I did not want to waste anymore of my time. I simply unrooted and bringing it back today to another store that doesnt treat their customers like they are idiots.

I'm pretty sure it's because you have the Motion Settings on. Like quick glance etc. That sensor reads what you are doing.

Yep. Turn off Quick Glance and the light will turn off.

I've seen mine glow red a few times, rooted or unrooted. Frankly it doesn't affect anything so I never paid much mind to it.
Of course XDA members are known for OCD, so im sure we have some ready to TEP it cause of it.

Need experts opinion

All out of the blue the screen got a green pixel on the screen that does not go away when is on, only when as sleep it goes off. I rebooted the phone and no luck anyone knows a possible solution or why this happened. Thank you

Dead pixels are something of a lottery... Just plain bad luck. I suggest you get your warranty worked to get it fixed/replaced.
Yes this has happened to me twice actually...when I was explained to by customer service snd warranty department that to have this happen is veryy rare...I was awarded an exchange so that what I also recommend. Sry bro

Galaxy Note 2 wont turn on Help

My Galaxy Note 2 just started acting very strange recently.
When I try turning it on, it shows a battery with a circle in the middle then turns off and keeps trying to turn back on showing the battery with the circle. I'm assuming this is low battery but its not because just a few minutes earlier it was working and had 85% battery.
I can use Vol+home and get into twrp recovery without a problem and it shows 85% battery but I don't want to reset my phone right now? Does anyone know of a solution?
Also strangely yesterday I was having trouble trying to get it to charge it took a couple of attempts at inserting the charger for it to work.
I have a SGH-I317M running Cleanrom if that matters...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried to turn it on without battery? Just pull it out then connect the mobile to a charger (or PC). If it will open up, then suspect from your battery. Otherwise, might be something different causing this. (Because battery or electricity malfunctions screwing electronic devices and set them to act bizarre, I saw that before)
I just tried that and no response whatsoever are you sure it can turn on even without the battery and just from an outlet?
I had the same problem with my Galaxy S2. I had 3 batteries and have bought 2 more....all 5 do the same thing. USB OTG stopped working at the same time, though it still connects to a PC. Also my yellow triangle disappeared at the same time when the metal connectors seperated from a USB cable and got stuck in the port. I suspect that it fried something.
I tried different ROMs before I gave up last week and bought a GN2 instead.

So my only option is to get it replaced for another one :/
Could this be the sudden death syndrome? What does that look like?
What about the exynos error?
Have you tried clearing cache and dalvik cache in twrp?

I just tried that, I even gave up and did a factory reset. Same result it keeps trying to turn on and then shows empty batter then turns back off and repeats that.
I also left it in the charge until it reached 100% still same problem.
Do you have a second battery? Try it with a 2nd one. If not working than return and claim warranty.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
I don't have a second battery, I'm going to have a little issue if I return it because its rooted with a custom rom... Will they be able to figure that out?
Can you boot in download mode? If yes then can Odin recognise the phone?

Atleast now you're on stock rom. Find a nother battery if possible or return it.
Good luck.

I still have the issue of the custom binary thing showing more than one... hopefully they don't look at that.
If your phone doesn't turn on I doubt they'll find out
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
Maybe the triangle away boot image can be flashed manually via odin then binary reset. But I am not sure if it is even possible.
