[??] Recent 4.3 doesn't boot! - Help! - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hello!
Today, my bro - gnex succesfully waked me up with a new alarm sound (a really weird loop of a Timely sound)... It froze in the "snooze" screen in Timely, and it didn't do anything so I removed the battery and then I turned it on.. It passed the Google logo, but the boot animation never appeared... It didn't reboot (no boot loop), and it got quite hot in the area next to the camera... Now it doesn't start. I can get into fastboot and recovery (Twrp)
It's been like a week since I got it into ParanoidAndroid 4.3 (3.99v), and since, it rebooted a couple of times, don't know if it has something to do with the Rom or the Kernel or if it's relevant...
My gnex is rooted and unlocked (obviously), with PA 3.99 (the latest 4.3?) and franco kernel (r391 nightly).
- First, I wiped cache\dalvik - No change
- Then I did a full wipe - No change
- Tried to install stock 4.3 with the Toolkit (yep, I know that's not the best way... won't do it again) - didn't worked (It looked like it succesfully installed radio and bootloader but then an error stops everything)
I always thought I was such a badass installing things to my unbrickable gnexus, now I'm too scared to do anything else to it without any help...
I'm from Costa Rica, please excuse my English
Any help would be much appreciated!!
EDIT: Managed to install stock again, 4.3, stock recovery and radios... Got halfway of the boot animation but then boot-loop... Went to stock recovery and wiped cache, no change... Re-flashed stock android, no change... Re-locked and unlocked the bootloader so it would wipe everything... Sadly no change...

help: can't boot, stuck on green htc logo

Hi All,
Got a problem with my HOX. Rooted, and was running Franco kernel and PKMN ROM. Had a few issues so flashed back to stock kernel, wiped and reinstalled ROM.
Now I've got a problem; boots up, get a sense lock screen, then when I unlock I just get a white screen with HTC logo on that doesn't go away.
Help!
I've reflashed stock boot.img in fastboot, I've done a fastboot erase cache and still have same issue.
EDIT:
Well, got it to boot. Going thru setup now and it's INCREDIBLY SLOW. It's like it's underclocked to 100mhz or something. It's completely unusable - hitting "Next" in the Android setup menu takes 30 secs to process etc... This is kind of what was starting to happen before I wiped and reflashed - could it be I have corrupt storage or something?

Did you remember to install kernel modules AFTER you installed your ROM? Roms come with their own kernels and the kernel modules are already installed under /system/lib. So unless you flash the kernel modules after the ROM, ROMs kernel modules get installed instead.
Yes, I did. Got it working now though - not sure what it was but mounted USB storage and got windows to scan the storage - then re-downloaded the ROM and flashed again. Weird....!

[SOLVED] Booting Failure

Hi!
So just a quick background. I have S-OFF'd and flashed a custom ROM on my mates Desire HD few years back and have a bit knowledge about the device.
Today I showed him some of the 4.1-4.2 ROMs available for DHD. In TWRP I did a nandroid backup of his current Blackout ICS and flashed CM10.1. Everything went just fine, but the ROM was not the right for him, so I tried Venom Sense 4.1. I did a clean install on the Venom ROM and wiped everything in Aroma.
Apparently I was not focused enough and the Aroma installation failed with just the wipe. No ROM installed. Phone rebooted with no ROM and the caught stuck while booting. I thought this was no biggie and I would just restore the backup from TWRP.
Then all suddenly went to hell in a hand basket. Phone was/is unable to boot into bootloader with any vol+/- combination. It won't boot into recovery ether. Just straight into the ROM, which is not there -> bootloop.
TL;DR No ROM installed, unable to boot into bootloader or recovery. ADB/Fastboot showing no signs of connection.
Did I just buy myself a dead DHD and an angry friend?
EDIT: SOLVED. So, issue was solved by 1000 times randomly pulling the battery and pressin vol up and down. 999 tries straight booted into the OS, but 1000th try somehow got me into the hboot. No idea why or how.

GNex Stuck at Google logo and Stuck at TWRP Logo

Hi,
Firstly I`m Sorry if There are some thread with same problem. I already tried to solve this for about a week. this is my second choice before i go to service center to fix this.
Here is my problem,
1st, My GNex suddenly Restart by it`s own after i press power key to wake it up. then i leave my phone to boot up. then after a while i came back and see my phone won`t pass the Google Logo. So, i pull out the battery and power up it again.. but then same thing happen. after 30 minutes nothing happen. still stuck at Google Logo.
after that, i tried to wipe the delvik cache using Costume Recovery -TWRP- but.. after i boot up to Recovery Mode. my phone stuck at TWRP logo.
i already try to let my phone on with TWRP. but it`s doing nothing until my GNex runs out of Battery.
Then, I tried to Flash back the stock 4.0.4 STOCK ROM using The Tool Kit but. it`s appear to abort because the Radio Band not same.
later on i tried Flash 4.2.2 Stock Rom, it successfully Flashed but... during flash time.. the Tool Kit take very long time to write System.
after the tool kit finish flashing it. I let it boot by itself, BUT it takes about 1 and half hour to get into "X" logo.
i thought being at "X" nexus logo. my phone will be fine. but not success, I let my phone on "X" logo state for a night, still my phone at "X" logo,
I SINCE that Already Done
1. Flashing all Stock ROM "Takju" - NO SUCCESS-
2. Change Radio band - NO SUCCESS-
3. Change Bootloader - NO SUCCESS-
4. Change Recovery Mod to Stock - NO SUCCESS-
* All method that i found at the internet i already tried, Using ADB and Tool Kit.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus won't boot up! Restarting after google logo!

Hello to all
I have Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4.2.1 stock and unlocked.
It worked perfectly to two years! From yesterday i have problem with it! My GN won't boot anymore, I can see just google and X (nexus) logo after that GN restart itself! This is repeated without stopping until I put out battery.
I have tried to clear cache, wipe data/factory reset in Recovery Mode but problem has continued!
I have unlocked bootloader and update to android 4.3 stock (non rooted) through ADB (google SDK), updated successfully but when phone has reboot problem has continued, GN restart non-stop!
In Fastboot mode/Recovery Mode phone it never restarted! I have left in this mode with hours to try if restarted but no It works without any problems in this mode! It restart only when phone boot up!
Can this problem to be hardware failure or not?!
Can anyone help me? What can i do to boot my GN again?
I hope in your your support

Don't panic, this problem is called bootloop and it's normal. Just download factory images from here and flash them by using this awesome guide by efrant!!
Also bookmark this link for future reference.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1812959
started having the same problem yesterday after 6 months of stability on a custom 4.3 rom.
oem lock then unlock to format, nothing, tried various methods of flashing back to stock via ADB with mixed results, normally more boot looping with it occasionally booting into a rom for ~5 seconds. so SOMETHING is working.
I tried Efrant's method about an hour ago, but its been sitting at the google logo since, I'm at a lost, I'm no stranger to boot loops when installing borked roms but this is the strangest problem I have ever had with an android device.
should I just chock it up to hardware failure?
Mostly yours USERDATA partition is corrupted.
Use FASTBOOT to reflash the USERDATA IMG and it should do the trick.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
did a total stock reflash again, got to the setup screen before it rebooted after ~15 seconds, bootlooping again. flashed the userdata img with a few different ones.
I'm trying to read my logcat but when I run the ADB command in clockwork It finds nothing.
I've done all steps by this awesome guide by efrant! But same problem here
I've tried to install 4.2.2 stock, 4.3 stock, all comands works but in the end when i press fastboot reboot my nexus it's in bootloop again restart restart and restart
Any other solutions :crying::crying::crying:
I've waited about 30 minutes after restarting non-stop, my GN boot to system i saw home screen of android but after 5 sec restarted again :crying:
I'm getting into my system once every 10 or so reboots. managed to turn off wifi in case that was the problem but still boot looping. I'm inclined to think it might be hardware related as I started having trouble in the middle of a text after several months of rom stability.

[Q] Problem with boot loop

Hi guys,
I've got a big problem with my Gnex. I was running AOSPAL Paranoid SaberDroid ROM with Dirty V kernel and Nephilim's settings. Just the read ahead buffer was set as default so it was 512 I think. I think I just forgot to change it. Everything was ok and then I changed RAB to this value about 4000 (max). I started antutu benchmark and while it was running the phone restarted and got into boot loop. I don't know if it was the reason of the issue, but I wanted to tell you all the circumstances. When I tried to turn it on the Google logo appeared and then the system loading animation started, after about 3-5 seconds it restarted and so over and over again. I was able to enter recovery mode, so I wiped cache and dalvik cache. Nothing changed. I flashed Dirty V kernel again, thinking that settings would turn back to default, but it also didn't change anything. I flashed franco kernel, and also nothing happened. I returned nandroid backup but it also didn't help with this boot loop. Then I wiped cache, dalvik cache, system, data and clean flashed SaberDroid ROM with stock kernel and PA gapps. Nothing. I plugged my phone to computer and flashed Google factory image using WugFresh Toolkit, so it wiped everything unrooted my phone and flashed stock clean 4.1.2 android and everything. I thought that will solve my problem, but also it didn't help. Nexus is still in boot loop - it keeps restarting when there is nexus logo animation. I was scared at that moment. I forgot to mention, that I could get to fastboot mode, recovery and the battery logo was showing correctly when phone was plugged to charger. Then I locked the bootloader so it is completly stock right now, it just doesn't turn on...
I read the topic about omap flashing, but as I understand it is for those devices, which can not turn into fastboot mode (and mine does) and then the solution is to flash google factory image, what I did... When phone is turned off and plugged to computer the device menager shows for 2 secs omap4440, and when it is in fastboot mode and plugged to comp it shows normally as Android Phone (Google Galaxy Nexus BootLoader Interface, because I had drivers installed to use the Toolkit.
It is all what I could do and I don't know what else could be done to ressurect my loved Gnex .
Do You guys know what's going on?
Please help me.
I think I have read somewhere in the Dirty V thread that some bug in the kernel was causing the Google logo boot loop. Have you tried using 0sm0sis' Emergency Kernel Cleaning Script listed in his signature? I remember him telling someone to use that script in the kernel thread.
osm0sis's zip only restores kernel tweaks and settings to default. I didn't try it, but now I don't have to, because I don't have any custom kernel right now. My phone is pure stock.
Yesterday I tried omap flashing, and it run properly, but also didn't change anything. I also flashed Google factory image again after omap flashing.
Any other tips? It doesn't look optimistic ;/. Maybe it's hardware? But I thought reboot loops are connected to software and it is soft brick, which can be repaired.
