Pocket Casts streaming issue with phone - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Anyone with Pocket Casts have issues streaming with our phone? I just bought the app and I can't seem to get streaming to work. I already emailed their support, but they're lagging on providing any solution.

Shoutcast Streaming VP6 TV From GSPlayer

I recently e-mailed the developer of GSPlayer, the popular streaming media player. I asked him "Would it be possible to extend GSPlayer to allow playback of shoutcast streaming TV based on the VP6 codec?"
He responded that he's moved on a bit now and would require some form of income for his time. I know that I alone wouldn't mind paying for such a feature on my XDA (2) - I consistently tune in and watch streaming TV via Winamp.
Does anyone else share the same enthusiasm as I do for streaming VP6 TV on their XDA (2) and therefore willing to donate to get this development underway?
as in streem it over grps ?
if so then it that not kinda slow for that ?
I was more so thinking over wireless access points, or bluetooth internet. I suppose this has a limited audience...

Orb streaming

I tried to search for it so I'm sorry if this is a repeat...
Has anyone else tried Orb streaming service. I think it's the best thing I've found since my WM6 Rom and of course it's free and requires no new install on the phone.
Once you download an app to your computer to allow it to stream media out, you can access media on your computer over the web. This isn't a new concept, but the thing that stands out for me is the fact that it works great with the hermes - streaming stored videos, pictures, and music from the PC (among other things)
If you have a TV tuner on your computer it's even better. It will let you watch live TV or previously recorded TV. It will even let you schedule a recording from the phone if you forgot while you were at home (albeit - not through WMC rather their own, but they usually play nice).
My only recomendation is to lower the expected stream speed to 40 or 80 kbps at the bottom of mobile website to eliminate chopiness. Also, if you have a media player other than WMP on the phone - make sure the stream goes to WMP (it works well in there)
i have been using it for a couple years, and its great for live tv and i have a few hundred divx movies on my harddrive that i can stream and its free!
Yes, it is a very nice program. I've been using it for a while, too. It even supports webcams. Probably one of the best programs I've ever used.
I just wish it was able to skip commercials on a recorded tv program or skip to a point in a recorded TV show...
yeah it is a great service! i've been using it even before i got into winmo (which was in '03!!)
GreyGabe, edit the comercials out on your pc with a vid editing software...
same here, using it for years. first started to stream with it on my MPX220 (non-edge) and i was blown away then. About to stream one of my shows in an hour or so at work....
Just for live TV, have a decent computer. after i did an upgrade to a better processor and ram, the streams coppyness/buffering almost dissappeared. Also, having something better than DSL helped a lot too...

Streaming Video/Audio Sync Issue

I have a stock HTC Wildfire S that got the ota update to 2.35 er so. Before and after the update I am experiencing Streaming Video/Audio Sync Issues when trying to play video through my browser and the Netflix app. The audio rolls along with no hinderance or interference while the video stops, jumps, glithches or just plays but way out of sync with the audio. I have tryed several different websites to no avail. The craziest thing is, through the Youtube app, all videos play crisp and with no flaws. This is all being done over WiFi and has been tested on several different WiFi connections. On a side note, formated videos that are on my SD card also have no issues. I have the version of flash player for my version of android installed and 30-40mb of open internal storage.
Any idea would help, ty.
Same here. I wonder if overclocking is needed to get Netflix to play decently over WiFi.

Same here, I 'm even trying to get Skype to work. My wives LG Optimus Elite can stream Skype and Netflix video just fine even over a good 3G signal.
Yet on the Wildfire just trying to do audio with Skype wont even work on WiFi.
I am regretting this phone more and more.

Play locally-sourced audio?

I followed the Forum Rules and searched but can't find anything on what surely must be a very frequently asked question.
I got a 3-month free trial of Google Play Music. Works fine on my phone so bought a chromecast audio and connected to amp+speakers, now I can cast and streamed music works as expected. BUT having unplugged my local media player I can no longer listen to my local media.
It's inconvenient having to plug and unplug all the time. How do I hack the chromecast audio device to stream from local machines as well as from Google Play Music?

It will stream a PC's audio to chromecast
The easiest solution if probably just to upload your music to Google Play Music. This will also allow you to initiate playback using a Google Home if you ever buy one.
it doesn't support directly playing local tracks, it requires uploading music to your library for playback.

Casting Issues

I should add it's more than casting issues, streaming too. Twitch is driving me crazy, I cannot seem to get a lag free stream cast to my tv. I can if I use a different device. I'm also having issues with my DirectTv Now app. It streams fine on wifi, but when connecting to cellular data it wont stream. Now get this, if i enable my VPN it works flawlessly. I love this phone but these little quirks are starting to annoy me.
