I have bought an Ace2, on the box and the sticker behind the battery, it's written 8160P, but in the software, download mode, antutu, the settings menu->about phone, and every other place in the system, it's written 8160 without P, so what do I have?? do I have 8160 or 8160P??
thanx everyone...
check in back (around battery) if you have an NFC sticker. if it does have one, yours is a P varient and flashed with I8160 fw..
EDIT: on second thought, if its stated I8160P means yours is a P varient

On a Russian forum I found the newest firmware LT18i_4.1.L.0.8_England.ftf to download.
Does anyone - outside UK - flashed and use this customized (for Three Mobile said someone) firmware?
Just curious, because UK firmwares are famous for speed and bloatwaresless
...and, it seems, has a new baseband: 73
I recommend flashing generic firmware instead. You can remove the bloatware manually.

In my language, when someone is extremely curious, it's an expression defining that: `to have an itch in the ass`.
So: I downloaded it, flash it, rooted it, removed bloatware (most bloatware can be uninstalled without root).
Now me happy
It's the speediest ICS (even the Phone dialer) tried by me until now (around five distributions, including generic), on my LT15i with locked BL. :victory:

Reboot into Download Mode and you'll get to know which model of Note 2 it is. Then you can find the roms for your model. I doubt its a E250X series one.
Hi,
I have an ace II locked to o2. I would like to know if I can install Lite Rom v2.9.1 on it? The phone is already running XXMG2. The branded phone has exactly the same hardware as the international variant, just with an o2 boot up screen . I have already rooted, installed and increased the RAM capacity to 624MB using the international methods, however custom roms are a whole nother level. Please Help,
-Famzz (an ex GT-I9000 user)
p.s. If anyone knows of a way to debrand the phone, even better!

Yeah it works fine, I also have an ace 2 locked to o2, and I think it still is, but I have used over 10 different ROMs on it over the past year andi can safely say they all work

Thanks guys. You were both a big help! I just flashed lite rom and .... SUCCESS! Now to wait for hafidzduddin to update D-kernel for stock.
Hi guys,may I flash GT-I9190's firmware on my GT-i9192?

NO. They have different hardware and flashing it may cause your device to brick.

No!!! 9192 is dual SIM. And I think it comes with different chip as well.
Someone apparently did flash it and it didn't brick his device. No radio though (no GSM at all)
Except the dual sim (gt-i9192) and one sim (gt-9190 ) there is no difference between them the diffirence with LTE version gt-i9195
-GT-i9195 has NFC capability
-Speed HSDPA, 42 Mbps
