HTC One X carrier unlock wont work. - HTC One X

Hi
I ordered an Carrier unlock from my operator 3 but the code doesnt work.
Why is that? Im on stock ROM and nothing custom.
I even called HTC and they have the database of the IMEI and codes and will check if the provided code is correct. Maybe they can unlock it. Waiting for a call from HTC 2.
I hope they cant sort it out.

It is not a virus.
Kaspersky, sometimes AVG detect it as a trojon or virus because the program is packed to prevent it from being cracked.

Hey could you explain to me how to do this? What it is? ect. i am a bit of a noob. lol
As i had the same issues as the guy above.
orange codes
with orange phones you may have to enter twice.
so once you have entered and it will ask you again .
enter the code again and it will work
Once i enter the code it says "Network Unlock Successful" but when i get to the main screen i have no signal, and if i reboot the phone it asks for the unlock code again, help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Same here. Tried everything. Rooted it, flashed with custom firmware MoDaCo. Bought code from HTCCode.com (ripoff). And now am waiting for the isim 2008 from DealExtreme ...
Don't be fooled by HTCCode, like I was. They profess to be able to unlock any phone to any operator. They hadn't bargained for the HTC Tattoo on Orange and probably some other flavours.....
My understanding, and feel free to correct if I'm wrong, is that there's a radio ROM that has been tied down by Orange and at last check they haven't been able to flash it (i.e. get rid and replace by a less tied down one). Within that ROM there's a CID check which doesn't want to respond to any code you throw at it.
My advice is pick up a vanilla Tattoo (play.com do them now for £180), or you could try an iSmartSim (it didn't work for me, but there have been reports of some success)

AGREED!
Here is MY experience with HTCCODE (also known as member "ferraripassion"), and his pathetic attempts to unlock an HD2.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=657751
I am amazed the admins allow him to continue to prey on members here!
HTCCODE finally DID come across for me. It took some "work"... He claims he sent the code last night.. not quite the "2 minutes" that were brandished, but I did receive it, nonetheless, So I wasn't "ripped off."
Just setting the record clear (for ANYONE who actually cares).
Hi i'm buy code from htcsimunlock . com and key doesn't work, after 24h they didn't refund money. Anyone who has experience with them?
Don't get in trouble!
Somtimes it is easier spending 15 Eruros and 30 minutes than trying magic.
Just one advice. The process erase the data, so remember to do a NAND BackUp before.
I did it before changing from Vodafone to Simyo.
Now i have got a free Tattoo and also changed the ROM.
Just pm me if you need a code

[Q] HELP!!!!

I have a HTC One X, i have unlocker bootloader etc & installed LeeDrOiD One Xtreme V6.2.0, everything works, but, my phone is on Orange, but i was told installing a custom rom would allow me to use another sim (T-Mobile), but when the phone reboots after install the custom rom, it says network locked & will only accept an Orange sim.
Is there any custom rom / stock rom that i can use to get around this??

SIM network unlock PIN / How to unlock my ONE X?

Hi there!
I have a HTC ONE X which is simlocked to provider "3" ("Three" in Austria: www drei at).
(For description the problem: If you put in a simcard from another provider, you will get a message to put in the SIM network unlock pin.
I have already tried with a password from cellunlocker, but it didn't work: "Incorrect password")
Is there any chance to unlock this phone?
Thank´s,

There was something posted the other day that you can get the code from a HEX Editor.
But I cannot find that for you right now. If you are willing to pay I found a pretty cheap one for 12$ here:

But try to find the post with the Hex Edit method

Hi,
thank you for the link - but this way won't work. "THREE" Austria switch the "SIM network unlock PIN". So the only way to get the phone unlocked is to read this unlock PIN from it.
There is a possibility for HTC Sensation:

Are you on a stock ROM? I am fairly certain I had the same issue and I had already rooted, installed a custom recovery and ROM. I had to revert to the stock ROM via the RUU to be able to enter the SIM unlock code. Once I had done this I then had to go back through the custom recovery etc.

HTC One X won't accept sim unlock code

I have had two companies give me the same unlock code which does not work. Is it a problem with the phone or a problem with the code?
Both say factory reset the phone but this has some issues I think, sometimes I get a red triangle or it reboots very quickly without resetting from the rom.
Phone is sim locked to Three UK (who have stopped fixing the phone directly and HTC won't look at it as its been boot loader unlocked)
Can anyone help with this if so, give full instructions and files needed. Thanks in advance.
P.S. it would be nice if a debranded rom could be installed.

ARe you on STOCK rom and stock recovery. If no go to full stock
I had the same problem on my One X locked on Orange Romania. It seems some GSM operators change the factory unlock codes. The only way to unlock it would be to have a buddy working at the GSM Operator or wait until the phone gets out of contract. I was unable to unlock mine.
yes I'm on full stock rom.

Does anyone think it is because the boot loader has been unlocked?

It shouldn't, I believe I had the same problem but I was on AOSP, I had to put a stock ROM on for sure.
It could be worth locking it to see though, it's not the biggest pain in the ass!

My phone has this stock Rom already on it.. I would have to try putting another stock Rom on it. It it possible to put a standard unbranded stock Rom on it instead of HG3?
As far as I know ofcourse you can
OK I have put another H3G stock rom on and this does not work either.
After looking into this further I have found somewhere that if the phone is a replacement one or something was changed from manufacturer and providers with regards to databases for unlock codes then the one provided may not work.
Well my phone went into the service centre and they fixed it but stated after testing they decided to change the mainboard. I suspect because it was originally a CID 1111111 with S-OFF(unbranded as HTC described it) as it was delivered first day they came out. Rush job to get to market and didn't get branded to H3G_001 and S-ON I suppose.
Anyway I suspect that because the main board has been changed the the unlock code has also changed and not been documented or changed on the database for the codes. So they are providing me with the original code not the new one and the letter for the fix state IMEI code previous and new the same, so they must have just reprogrammed that and forgot about the unlock code.
Is there a way to read these off the phone, NVR or something?
I am with Orange or EE and I have tried to flash a stock rom with stock recovery and relocked bootloader and nothing has worked. I have paid 2 companies for the unlock code which is the same code and nothing works I am so frustrated might have to leave htc. This is ridiculous I am on 3.16.61 and my cid is orang001

Just to kick this up I've had the exact same problem (this time with t-mobile) 3 companies and EE all with the same code, all refused by the phone.
Heart breaking really.
Is there no hardware method to get the code or an alternative sim unlock out there?

[Q] HTC one m9 unauthorized sim card

Hello guys, sorry to bother. I am contacting you to see if someone can help me, i´ve searched and searched the web without any luck. Almost three weeks ago i got here in Mexico an HTC one M9 from Telcel, I have two mobile phones two lines one telcel one iusacell. I needed to change the iusacell phone but did not like what they had. I got the telcel phone HTC one m9, and it was unlocked from telcel, i put my iusacell sim and worked great. Strangely after two weeks, the screen intact, with not a bump and a glass cover, internally failed and i sent it to a authorized center from the provider, they sent it to HTC and HTC sent me a brand new phone.
This new HTC one m9 works perfect with the telcel chip, i inserted the iusacell chip and it gave me message "UNAUTHORIZED SIM CARD, EC calls only". I assumed it was normal, went and bought the unlock code and tried to enter it, but i noticed it never popped the network unlock screen, it always pops the UNAUTHORIZED SIM CARD EC CALLS ONLY" message on the main screen and the only thing it lets me do with the iusacell chip is place emergency calls. no codes, not even to check imei.
I´ve been looking for support with no help, when entering the unlock code and hitting call (no ok button) it tells me its not an emergency call.
Searching i found that its probably that in the service menu (mode) they deactivated the network unlock screen, but i have not found how to get into the service mode of the phone, everywhere for older htcs they say its *#0011# but no luck, the only codes that work are the *#*#4636#*#* and the 3424 but none of them help me.
What can i do? I prefer to use my iphone for that line and use this phone for my other line which is on a different carrier.
Any ideas or help?
cheers and thanks
Ivan
They gave you a new phone, new motherboard and it's not unlocked. I would assume. It'll probably need to be simple unlocked again. With the first phone you had to request that it be unlocked right?

Strangely enough the first phone i bought came unlocked, i had purchased online the unlock code but when i inserted another sim i did not require it. The problem with this replacement M9 is that although i´ve already bought the unlock code the screen never prompts for the network unlock code. When i insert a different sim that from the carrier (telcel) it prompts an "UNAUTHORIZED SIM CARD; ER CALLS ONLY", i´ve inserted IUSACELL MEXICO SIM, ATT USA SIM
TMOBILE USA SIM all with the same result.
cheers
Ivan
I know with the T-Mobile phones, or at least I'm pretty sure, we have to flash an international rom to get that screen to come up. Kinda sucks but maybe that's the problem?

You can unlock it or s-off , but a-off is $25. Unlock is free on HTC Dev unlock. It's pretty easy, have you used HTC dev unlock before?

I used ARHD to unlock my T-Mobile m9. Prior to that I also wasn't getting the option of putting in sim unlock code similar to yours. However once you flash and sim unlock it, you can flash any rom and the sim unlock will stick. Good luck.

Thanks =) i did manage to get a new rom into it ARHD and interesting enough when inserting a different carrier sim now I do get the network unlock code screen. I tested the pin i had bought and it did not work, I asked and they told me they will try to find it out. I did try a few more services to buy the code but they all tell me that they cannot find my IMEI in their database. This i find really strange, does anyone know what can it be? I need to unlock since i will be travelling to the USA and want to put a prepaid card into my phone.
cheers
Ivan
I had the same problem as you. My HTC was originally from T-Mobile, I unlocked bootloader, flashed latest TWRP recovery, rooted and S-off'ed. After that I also set CID to BS_US001 and MID to 0PJA11000
After that downloaded Developer Edition RUU from http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-one-m9/general/att-developer-edition-ruu-how-to-t3086948 (use the 1.32.617.30 RUU.zip, using the 0PJAIMG.ZIP method), after that you will be prompted to insert unlock code and receive latest updates, hope it helps!

If you already bought and received an unlock code there is a big probability that you had a typo with your imei maybe. Usually when you receive an unlock code they tend to always work. Hope it helps
Hold on there's a tested and working free sim unlock in here somewhere! I have used it and multiple others, let me try to get the link.
