So due to ad revenue or some such nonsense a good deal of youtube videos won't work on most anyone's phone through the internet. Does anyone know of a sure fire work around to this silly game?
I basically don't go on youtube ever, but the rare occasion I do I end up bouncing around for an hour or so (don't we all) and this "content not available on mobile" makes me want to punch the nearest living thing when I try to show someone something decent.
Don't they realize I have much more entertaining things to do when I have access to my laptop than watch youtube videos and that they are simply shooting themselves in the foot as the market curves out?
Thanks for any input and sorry if this doesn't fall under tips and tricks and in b4 omg wrong forum/been posted a million times
It has to do with content licensing, if I recall. Using a browser with desktop mode might help. I generally find YT to be a painful experience, regardless of wifi or cell.

Maybe tubemate might work?

Good day,
sorry if this is already out but i cannot find it so forgive me.
Question
1) is there anyway to add a facebook(or any website i.e. my own) link on the PROGRAMS page? So i can just one push and go str8 there?
2) I see so many talking about IGo and tom tom and so on, are they available some place on here i cannot locate or is there a site i have to go to for purchase? I see some who have them BOTH and seems odd that one would pay for all of that when google maps is free so i just wondered.
3) Is Coreplayer free or purchase only
4) Why is my youtube video so crappy 90% of the time? I hate trying to show off to the Iphone fantards and my vid quality is for crap
5) Has anyone found a program that actually WORKS for the front facing camera? I know Camfrog didnt, Skype didnt and the list goes on and on.
Thanks for any answers you may have, i know they are basic and simple but i am overwhelmed with this site at times and seeing as how its 4am i need to stop playing with cabs and call it a night.
Thanks again
I'm sure there's an answer to each of ur questions, if u just would use the search function.
I have tried that but seems easier to just ask vs sorting through 68 pages of posts just to get an answer, its rather time consuming to say the least.
Is this available for Android? I saw this on sports center this morning and cant find it in the market. I googled it and it seems it may only be for the Iphone. Any info would be great!

Nope, not yet anyway... seems to be iDevice exclusive, at least for now.
Sprint TV does just this, and its free.

if I recall correctly, the Watch ESPN app is for watching ESPN3 content, which streams a lot more than the ESPN stream on Sprint TV
Watch Espn
It was up for about a week earlier in may (I had it on an atrix), but it appears to have been removed (I had to re-flash, and didn't back it up)... The application was a bit buggy, it would force close when trying to change the channel and the colors would come in off (like watching an old, 1980's style 3-D movie without the glasses), so i'm guessing that they're looking to re-tool it
It looks like it's back. At least this morning it was available for download, but unfortunately I don't meet the qualifying standards to stream anything (Fios, Comcast, etc.)
I hesitate to ask, bc I don't know what XDA considers legit or not anymore, but does anyone have a way to hack this app? If that's illegal, and some of you policing this stuff feel like going nuts on me, hold back, and just say it's not going to be done here.
But, if like the Netflix hacks, the Hulu hacks, the old NFL mobile hack, and every other thing XDA allows that screws a company out there, then jump on this bandwagon, and lets get everyone using this app for free!
I like the idea of this app but like everything else with ESPN you have to talk to your cable service provider... Y not just let me pay for the app and use it What does my cable service have to do with my cell phone... Damn you ESPN
Gonna have to look into this
anyone ever figure this out. It would be great to be able to do this!

Anyone else using this app?
On my old Droid when I opened the app, it would give me a homepage where I can select the different ESPN stations as well as podcasts.
On the Nexus, however, there is no homepage to make other selections and it simply plays the national ESPN station and thats it.
Anybody know why this is the case on the Nexus?
T-Mac, I thought I was the only one who noticed this! I got the same thing bro, and I really wanna figure it out, because the way the app used to run on my incredible was...incredible. I really wanna be able to listen to the podcasts and have the huge menu selection that we used to have. I dont really understand how it could have been this much affected by ICS. On an unrelated note, T-Mac should do good on ATL, they got a decent squad. I hope he get further than his cousin Vinsanity at least. I grow tired of him.
Peace
I'm glad someone else is having the same problem (sorry haha). It is really annoying, its easily my favorite app and I listen to the podcasts commuting to and from work and I can't seem to find any info about this at all.
I hope TMac has one last run in him before he has to hang em up, he was my favorite player back in the day but now I just use the name so I can remember it lol
Hi there folks! First of all let me apologize in advance if this isn't the right section but I can't think of other.
I'm trying to do a video showing some of the features of my app, the JotPad. But I'm having a lot of trouble, I've lost count to how many "takes" I've done and I still can't get it right, I'm always forgetting something or mumbling in the middle of the video, or laughing... seems quite obvious to me that a career on television is something I shouldn't aspire to.
My Portuguese accent doesn't help either, but then again it's not that imperceptible.
My question is, how did you guys made your own videos? I can't use a emulator capture cause I need to demonstrate the multi-touch aspect of the app. Any advices?
I have decided to create this thread to brainstorm some application ideas for developers.
Post any ideas that you would like in an app that would make our SII better and more functional
Please be reasonable in your ideas Thank you
I'll get started with an idea.
I'm looking for an app that regularly makes a cwm backup while I am sleeping. It must boot into cwm makes a backup and reboots successfully like nothing happened

I'm not surprised to see that not too many people are entirely open to sharing or giving away intellectual property rights to "their app ideas" on XDA... Considering, how many members are developers and looking to capitalize from their ideas and work. That being said, I myself am not a dev and could in no way, shape, or form, bring my ideas to fruition in a timely manner... So, I'll contribute to the think tank with the asking of only 1 courtesy, should you decide to use any of my "ideas"... A considerable donation on behalf of myself to XDA Forums for any profitable gains from any of my ideas and a PM sent to me, just to let me know you're working to meet my smartphone needs. Please, include app names, so I can enjoy the fruits of your labor ASAP.
Now, I'm just awaiting the approval of XDA MODs concerning this part of my contribution before continuing with my ideas.
TO BE CONTINUED...
Seeing as how you can connect an external hard drive to your smartphone via USB and also connect it to a Tv via HDMI... I would really like to see apps take advantage of these aspects in numerous ways. First being, a means of using your smartphone as a video capture device with various video format configuring options in app. So, with a micro USB to Female/Male USB; in theory you should be able to capture video on your TV,PC,Ect From a game console, set top box, dvd, or any other median to video content from your TV through your smartphone and store it on an external hard drive. Allowing for longer video capture and data storage. If this idea intrigues you, please feel free to elaborate on any further thoughts you have concerning it...
P.S. An external hard drive with charging capabilities while in use would be nice to have as well. If it doesn't exist already.
