Hi guys,
I bought an HOX for parts/repair, my objective is repair this one because is in great condition, but i get a big problem.... the bootloader is relocked and i don't have the unlock_code.bin from htcdev to unlock the bootloader again! Did you guays have any method to unlock it without unlock code from HTCdev, or the only way to do that is getting the unlock_code.bin?

Just get a new unlock code from htcdev. You can request them more than once.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Nice view herbie13!!!
Thanks mate!!!!
If you are S-Off it is possible . Take a look at my signature. I have a tutorial on it. Although, keep in mind our partitions are different I would assume so minor changes would be needed in the process. Good luck.

I am using wildfire s(Marvel).
I unlocked my hboot using htc dev method.
now i am 1.08.0099.
now i wanted to get back my warranty so I decided to downgrade it.
First i tried MrTaco505 method.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1540952
But it did not work.
Then I tried emveefr Method.
Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1301388
It also did not work.
I follwed every step correctly. At last flashed ruu But bootloader remained same-1.08.0099 and shows ***locked(oow)***.
ruu used-
RUU_Marvel_HTC_Asia_WWE_1.35.707.3_Radio_47.10_.35.3029H_7.46.35.08_release_188906_signed
RUU_Marvel_hTC_Asia_India_1.35.720.3_Radio_47.10.35.3029H_7.46.35.08_release_188899_signed
please help me to get back my warranty. Seriously i need it.
Did you flash the img files that I did and did you set superversion with the boot loader tool?

Thank you for replying.
I did all as you said but it did not work.
I think my problem is solved.
I updated to android 2.3.5 (officially) after flashing Asia_India RUU.
Now it is saying hboot version 1.08.0000.
and nothing like ***locked(oow)*** or ***unlocked***.
I think my warranty is back (isn't it).
There was a problem in RUU which was not able to downgrade hboot.
Hey Alok, where did you het the htc Asia India ruu? Could you please post it? When you unlocked you're bootloader the 1st time, you submitted the identifier token so you are in their blacklist

Hi,
I was upgrading my HBOOT from 1.16 to 1.36 which i successfully did. So now my phone is relocked and while I'm trying to unlock my bootloader I see that htcdev.com is down!!!
So now I'm stuck with a locked bootloader and no custom recovery to flash new roms. Any suggestions other than waiting for htcdev.com to come back online?
Many thanks!

In case the thread markb63 posted doesn't work, and you have to search through your email, here's the email account from HTCDev:
TC-Unlockbootloader[at]htc.com (replace [at] with @)
htcdev is up again, try now
Unstable.
The site has been up and down for the last few days. i had some issues on friday but by sat all was in order.
I.e, so that nobody can tell the phone is rooted. Will I need s-off to get rid of certain flags?
Thanks

If unlocked through HTCDev and you relock am sure it will say its been unlocked. I know that was the case with OneX
If you soff then you should easy be able to return to stock and re-do the son and be fine.
If you unlocked the phone via the HTC dev site and after that s-off you can lock it but your phone will always be registered at HTC.

Registered, yes, but they can't tell if you used the token to unlock the phone if it's all reset before sending it back cause of S-OFF
That's true.....

Just look in de android dev sections here, its filled with s-off discussions and guides.
I bought used One X recently and I wanted to unlock it so I downloaded All in one toolkit for HOX and registered on htcdev, but the problem is every time I try to get my ID token it keeps changing, I type fastboot oem get_identifier_token and if I type it 2 seconds later it gives me different token and it's like that every time. Phone is S-OFF with SuperCID. Do you have any ideas why is this happening?

I think it's like that. I might be wrong. But you should be able to unlock without HTC dev since you have s-off?
Well to be honest I probably can but I haven't tried yet because I wanted to check is this normal before I try anything else.

In this thread people said that ID token never changes so that's why I'm confused if it's normal that my ID changes or not, or is it related with my phone being S-OFF and having SuperCID?

man the unlock_code.bin never change one code work every time for unloking, the ID will change every time when you run the command. Once you get the code the code will work forever.
I'm unable to unlock the bootloader for the HTC Desire HD.
A friend give me a Desire HD stuck in bootloader. When I try to unlock the bootloader using fastboot and the Unlock_code.bin file everything seems to works fine but when the phone reboots it stills saying locked. Just to chek I use the fastboot oem lock command and returns (bootloader) Device was already locked!
I dont know whats the cause of this or how to solve it.
Anyone has any ideas?
Google is your friend
To unlock it, you have to visit htcdev
---------- Post added at 08:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:54 PM ----------
If you keep locking and unlocking and running commands via adb, you are gonna mess up your device. Go to HTC.com and search unlock bootloader or htcdev. Follow instructions there. Good luck.
Actually I did go to htcdev.com and follow their instructions, thats how I get the Unlock_code.bin file. Running random ad comamos was never an option.
I started to think that this might be a hardware issue but I have no idea how to proove it
Can u boot into bootloader?
---------- Post added at 11:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:48 PM ----------
I would suggest u look up aahk2 on xda. Follow those directions. That will help unlock, root s off and flash a custom recovery.

Thanks
What is your hboot version? If you have hboot 2.00.27 or lower maybe you have not an unlock option. You have to upgrade your hboot to 2.00.29 and then you should be able to unlock it thought htc_dev.
Check how to upgrade your bootloader here.
When you are in your bootloader give the command fastboot getvar all and copy-paste here what it prints.(except your IMEI and serialno).
