[Q] OTA update 1.72 Desire HD in india

Has anyone in india got the 1.72 update for their desire hd? bought DHD last week and when i checked for updates it shows there are no updates for my phone. When checked the software version its still on 1.32.720.5.

OTA is going to take a while... Over The Air update is only possible when HTC releases the update theru the carrier that you are on.. in your case.. when Airtel agrees with HTC to release, only then you will have the OTA update to 1.72... officially.. yes unofficially u can get it... but be careful, if you do the 1.72 update you wont be able to root your device.. YET!

I got my Desire HD from UK and its updated to 1.72, my carrier is Vodafone.

I didn't buy my phone from Airtel so I don't think I gotta wait for Airtel to approve the update .

To clarify your issue, you stated that: You want to know the launch date of Android 2.2.1 for HTC desire HD.
In this regard we would like to intimate you that.Android 2.2.1 currently is no such information when Android 2.2.1 will launched in India. When it will available in India then you can find on HTC India web site. www.htc.com/in

Did you get the update through Vodafone, while in India? Or did you get the update while in UK?

Mate , only if your phone is locked to a carrier is when you gotta wait for the Carrier ( Vodafone, O2 , T-Mobile) to release the software update. For users in country like India , the updates are never dependant on the carrier.
For example , i bought my Google Nexus One from the United States unlocked . The moment Google released 2.2 and 2.2.1 i got the OTA update on my phone.
Its just that HTC India hasnt released the update for DHD's , btw dont waste your time by asking HTC India , they are useless.
I guess its better to play the waiting game.

Its gonna take a while for the update in INDIA!
The problem z HTC INDIA is different from HTC Asia!
So we need 2 get a seperate update from HTC!

As far as I know 1.72 got pulled from all markets due to bugs. If this is correct I don't think you will ever see 1.72 officially as htc develops are now hard at work and focussed on Gingerbread.

The 1.72 update and the 1.8 update was not released in India.
Rather we will see a direct update to Gingerbread so you need not worry about 2.2 updates.

I don't think that DHD is sold in India locked to the service providers. All DHDs are unlocked. So as soon as India -specific region update comes up they will pass it on through OTA.

1.29.751.12 update

In another thread here, someone from Australia has posted that they have just updated to the 1.29.751.12 update.
I presume 751 designates the far east or Australasia. Do they run with the same update numbers as my 401 (UK)? If so, does this mean another update is on its way?

Bloody hope not! Pain in arse porting for new 401.11 base. (pkmn tweaks)

Be good if it was rolling out. Been waiting patiently for my 4 x hox's while watching the rest of the world update!

Been released in Sweden also from what I've heard.
It fixes the radio hang issue(not reconnecting after lost connection to gsm) and other stuff

Live Wallpaper Fix?
First thing I would check is the live wallpapers.
With this update, can you confirm if (or if not) the Live Wallpaper Scrolling Issue has been resolved?

Mine has been updated to 1.29.771.11 yesterday, branded to Three /Sweden. Had no issues with Wi-Fi or 3G already and have not yet noticed any improvement/change whatsoever..

If you rooted your phone theres no need to wait for the official update (just go for ViperX oder ARHD).
if you haven't rooted it probably wont help you if anyone has it as you cannot install it.
besides...if you like to have a tip on when your provider might send the official update it will help to say which TMo you mean.
There are probably differences between TMO Germany or TMo from other countries.
I just can tell you... Telefonica/O2 Germany hat it's 4.0.4 released these days. I received mine yesterday.

Man, I have exactly same version of HOX as you...
We can't use RUU, because there is no RUU that fit us...
And as you I couldn't wait for the update so I rooted my phone, unlocked (f*** the warranty), and instaled the rom that I wanted..
So to be honest, I wanted to have all original, but as the menufacturers and carriers is not "online" for all... I did this..
So go on, and be free..

[Q] Question about update.

Hello to everyone .
I have received a HTC one x as a gift.
The phone was bought from 3 Mobile as i see when i turn on the phone.
I am useing the phone in Romania with a romanian carrier but the phone was bought from the UK .
A few days behind I found out that the official 4.2.2. update was launched and I wanted to update my phone but it doesn't find the update.
My question is : Can I still get the update if the phone is from UK and i am useing it with a Romanian carrier ?Must I wait for the update to get in the UK in order for me to get it ?
PS : My CID is : H3G_001 .

Because I can't find anywhere someone that says that in the UK the update has been released.

It has been updated in the uk but not for 3 uk.. so as soon as update is available for ur cid u will recieve it..

[Q] HTC One X Update 4.2.2

Hi All
I know this question has probably been asked a lot recently but I am still waiting for the update to sense 5. My CiD is HTC_044. I am in Australia but my phone was sourced unbranded from asia (somewhere).
Does been in a different country make a differance?? Has it been confirmed released for this CID??

I am ORANG001 and been waiting for the Sense 5 update & 4.2.2 update from Orange UK. They seems to be very slow in providing the updates. My sister has Vodafone and she's got her update just the next the it was released by HTC in UK.

Yup.... ORANG001 will get it in about a month or two...
They have been very very slow in the past so I guess they will take that long this time as well...
But don't worry... You will get it 100%, you just have to be patient...
If you want you can use the WWE stock rom until that day, like I do...

Well... You simply download the stock rom and flash it from recovery... If you have never done something like that there is a great tutorial in the "general" forum for the htc one x...
You can downalod the stock wwe rom from the Android Revolution HD thread here at xda.
