Is there a different rooting toolkit specifically for the 2013 Nexus 7 on JSS15Q? I was going to follow zedomax YouTube video but I'm not sure if it is for this version. Thanks for any help!!

Thanks for the input guys. I ended up using the toolkit. Worked perfectly. Can't believe how easy it was.

Well, I hope you don't have issues. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21936493
And if you do, I hope you will post them in the toolkit thread and not start a new thread.

Yes I understand what you mean. I started with the nexus one and then nexus s and now this galaxy nexus. Did both nexus one and nexus s manually. My nexus s is beyond f***d . Seems like a hardware issue.
I didn't know if there was something different with the new device. The process is similar but the toolkit it much faster. Thanks for the quick replies and your guide.

I'm having trouble rooting my galaxy nexus because my build isn't in the galaxy nexus toolkit. I've been looking for an alternate way that'll work for me. Will anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance

Be a big boy and use the guide in my sig.
Toolkits are not for new users...due to the over-simplicity.
Yes I was looking into yours last night. I'm gonna give it a try right now. Thanks
Edit: your tutorial worked great thanks lots! Now rooted having custom recovery and bout to flash paranoid so my gnex is the same as my n7 : )

My build wasnt either, but the toolkit did it anyways, had to make sure usb debugging was checked, then all was good.

Will be getting my Nexus 7 today I ordered the 32Gb LTE one here in the Philippines.
My questions is what is the difference of the flo and the deb?
Deb is the term for the LTE model while flo is WiFi only.

I used this in rooting my N7 flo.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2389107
I believe it would also work with your n7 deb.
Will try it later just updated to kitkat and will the cwm or twrp will work for both flo and deb?
