HTC GPS Tool for Touch HD?

I'm looking for the GPS Tool that Dutty uses in his roms. Is there a version specifically for the Touch HD and if so where can I acquire it? Through my searching I've found one that dates back over a year ago so I was wondering if there was a new version that someone could direct me to.
I was unable to flash Dutty's latest V2.7/8 Rom due to PC issues so I'm currently at HTC's latest for the HD which doesn't include the GPS Tool, just the quick gps.
Any help would be much appreciated!

it will install to device and you can move it over to sd card if you want.

I also just found this version of the tool that supports VGA. Is this the newest one out from HTC? I think Dutty is running a newer version as this one doesn't seem similar.

It allows my device to get a gps lock much faster when I'm using google maps.

I am hoping it will help me work out if I have a fault with my device....
Can anyone help with this problem I have with Tom Tom 6 on my Touch HD?
Tom Tom finds the GPS and it is talking to the GPS at the same speed.
When it gets a fix and the map show my position a second later I get a message saying no GPS then after a few seconds it gets the fix again it does this for about 20 minuits then gets a permentant fix and is fine for the rest of the trip. De-power and wait for an hour or so, power on and the same thing happens?

Need For Speed v.0.1.5.3 on HD Gsensor / Problems Custom WM6.5 (Miri)

Device: HTC Touch HD
ROM: Miri's v14 WM6.5 full
Problem:
Insufficient Memory Warning followed by exit
Known solutions:
Installed on Storage Card: done that
Installed on device memory: done that
Start in 270° screen rotation: done that
Start useing gsen landscape: done that
Start when TF3D is activated: done that
Start when TF3D is deactivated: done that
Start begging on my knees: done done that
Nothing does work. One time it did start and i could even start a race but ist was slow and I got so many grafical errors that I had a hard time to see the track. I tried two different versions both with the same: "Insufficient memory to start application"- Warning
From my point o view a got al lot of memory: Free storage: 289,76 MB , Free program: 131,24 MB.
Maybe someone else got a clue?
I should mention that Xtrakt (3D game) runs fine.

use flip it as opposed to gsen.
set the class name as nfs_undercover and uncheck all of the boxes except for 270. this works for me.
rotating the touch hd 270 before running also helps sometimes.

thanks, but flip-it doesn't work eigther with miris ROM. I deactivated rotated the display with wkTask in 90° oder 270°. Nothing. NFS wont start without error warning.

Try installing CleanRAM and running level 3, then try running NFS again.

Hi, I tried that. Got 19 MB extra memory and a total of 113 MB. Nevertheless it wont start.

You already know what the problem is - if you use a custom rom DON'T expect every prog/app to continue to run as before, or at all......

I had same problem on a 6.5 and a 6.1 rom, wnet back to stock, et viola, works like a dream even in landscape.

custom roms aren't the devils work. If stable they are only ahead of their time. But you are right, I think it may got somesting to do with miri accessing g-sensor. flip it doesn't work eighter.
An other solution could may have something to do with the ati driver.
As I told, XTrakt workes fine and is quite fast even with modded higher details. This crappy looking Need For Speed v17... workes fine to.
Maybe someone here will find a solution. I'll now take a try with HD tweaker

I use onkolog's 6.5 ROM and NFS works like a charm, also with Vanilla (Topaz port WWE) it worked flawlessly.

Same thing happened to me using Dutty 3.5, the game worked for a few days and I ran it a few times each day, but then just stopped.

I havn´t found a solution yet. I stayed on miris because everything else worked fine.

IGO8 and TMC

Friends I must tell you - IGO8 is working very well on the Pro2
Now even that there is thread could you help me to run TCM
I`m so close to have the solution for IGO and TMC ...but I need just a little help.
I do habe IGO8
beemer and hyper is installed
by the way when I test hyper it finds GPS informations
Radio is running
My IGO8 is using COM4 and I have a Pro 2
AND I changed the system ini and it looks as follows:

I'm using a standalone GPS/TMC adapter (over bluetooth) for TMC info; GPS comes from the internal GPS chip.
iGO8 didn't recognize my TMC until I added the following to my system.ini manually:

saved_config_port="2"
saved_last_tuning_mode="1"
saved_last_frequency="1027"
After that it worked perfectly. Not sure whether you should use the ROYALTEK-protocol for TMC over the internal FM-radio too though.

I have following Issue with my Igo8: After using my TP2 a while, when I want to start Igo8 (the latest version by the way) I get following error:
"failed to reserve virtual address"
After I have made a reset, Igo8 starts flawless. Does someone else have the problem too? And can anyone have a solution for this?

I have the same problem too, what I did was usually I disable the T3D before I run the iGO8 (8.3.2.x), this usually help without have to reset my TP2. That is why iGO support said they did not cerified it work on TP2 (even most people said it work great on TP2). Used at your own risk.

1 unzip the archive
2 copy flash.bin to sd card
3 insert it in your E1.Press vol up+reset
4 on screen it will show loading sd card update
5 wait till it flashes, it shd not take more than a minute
reset the phone and u got the build in yr device.enjoy

SMS fix.cab can be downloaded from F1 rom thread
please report any other bug if found

Just for information, on my phone, I was unable to get my position working with the built-in version of google maps. I've just installed the latest version, and it works like a charm.
I've also removed manila because of the non presence of misscall in the home tab, and get back to titanium.
here's a cap of my phone, using jmltoday plugin with a personal skin on the wm7 titanium project. If someone need the skin, I can upload it.
Hdubli: Do you think it could be possible to make a rom based on version 6.5.3 (28002) ?

IE not opening
The internet explorer is not opening ... it asks if you want it to be default browser or not and then it exits.
And has anyone used GPS apps like Satguide-Destinator or MMI successfully?
If yes then please provide settings-tweakings if any.

Same problem for me with ie, but I've installed opera mini.
What kind of problems do you have with gps apps?
Just one thing about this rom, it seems to eat my battery a little bit too much fast.

Problems..
IE not working....not that it matters...who uses it anyway.Opera 10 is wayyy better.
MMI ( Mapmyindia ) doesn't show GPS signal. Same with the Destinator and Satguide.
The built in GPS viewer does connect with the GPS though.
So what's the procedure( A step by step guide will be welcome) to use GPS app in this phone?
My Asus P320 / P527 shows sat signals within 2-3 min.
Any suggestions.

GPS working...I first connected - locked the GPS viewer in the Utilities and then launched the GPS app.It worked for me.
But now the Device is displying in red letters " ERROR " and nothing else.
All apps are running smooth in the background but today screen is showing this ERROR screen?
I am using SPB shell 3.5.
No other themes or screen savers are installed.
Any suggestions/solutions?
And please somebody post the original-shipped ROM

Here is the screen shot.
The phone & PDA work fine.
I can exit the ERROR screen by using the hard keys!
Is it because of SPB Shell 3.5?
And still no success with MMI , Satguide works(but its map sucks).
Edit: MMI finally working.Don't know the reason.

MIC not working on low battery!

The mic doesn't work with low battery...i.e. the other party cannot hear me during a call.
How to fix it?
And please someone post/upload the company/shipped ROM.
Or explain (in detail) how to dump/extract ROM from device.

TomTom 7 not working?

hi, has anybody successfully installed tomtom 7 on a hd mini? Everytime i install it, installation fails. And yes have tried qvga but still not working?? Any ideas???

The 7.918.9193 version in QVGA works perfect. Many people is using it in a Spanish forum.

hi people, just tried both qvga and vga TomTom 7.918.9193, installation is failing any ideas?????
UPDATE: ive tried some of the older versions as well but its still saying installation unsuccessful... im using the htc hd mini stock not network locked, im going to try a hard reset, see if that resolves anything, have any of you had problems or needed to edit something for it to work????
UPDATE 2: Hard reset done and still no go, if some one can pm me on where to get the file you guys used or lead me in the right direction,

hey thanks for the info, i narrowed it down to office 2010 because when i installed that all hell broke loose on my phone either that or the memory card i had in the phone as i replaced it with a new one???
