Hello,
I have a problem with my Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The android version is 4.1.2
The problem i got is that when i turn on the WiFi, the phone will freeze, is unusable until i do a battery pull. after a restart i have to quickly go into the phone and turn off the WiFi or else the same thing will happen...
I tried to reset to factory settings, and to disable wifi safe mode.
Any idea?
No idea...

Do you have any media server on your network? Try to disable it or block your note Mac address from accessing it.
In my case synology dlna server caused gallery freezes - only gallery...
Is it happening on all wifi networks?

I am having some strange DNS issues when connecting my M8 to my home network on 5.0.1. The only DNS server listed on my phone is my router/AP (as reported by Network Info II) this is the same setup that worked with 4.X (and is currently working for my wife's S4 which is still on 4.X) when I try to use most data I get a DNS error (both apps and through Chrome). I say most because it seems like Gmail still works. Everything works at my work, but on that network I have real DNS servers listed.
Does anyone know if there is something that I could do to get 5.0.1 working with my WiFi?
Thanks.

Well I fixed my issue. I had to factory reset from the boot loader. After that I have had no wifi issues.

Hello,
yesterday when testing and setting up the OP3 I noticed that, after booting up, the WiFi didn't connect automatically.
I always had to go into WiFi settings, click on my WiFi and select "Connect". From then on, it worked normally.
(Had to boot really often, so it was clear that it was not a "sometimes" incident.)
Does anyone else have this?
I've had problems connecting to WiFi it keeps coming up can't authenticate connection also had LTE issues so I had to enter the wap details myself and that's OK but on the WiFi I've put a ticket in with one plus and waiting for reply..

With OxygenOS 3.1.3, now I don't have the WiFi problem anymore...
I have the issue where i completely loose data, there is no LTE or H. Flipping airplane mode on and off seems to fix the issue?

Hi, I continue to experience this recent bug, where, when I arrive home, the phone won't automatically connect to my wifi. I only have my home network on 5 GHz, no other entry.
Whenever it happens, the phone stays on LTE, doesn't seem to see *any* wifi, it takes actually getting in network settings and toggling from there off/on to retrieve my network and work again.
Is this really a new issue or it can be solved somehow without factory reset?

I just noticed the same behaviour with my 2 days new router, when on 5G. It takes me to turn on/off a few times to get the ip, but then, after a while (20'-30'), it says No internet, although my laptop has full internet (on 2.4G). I was thinking my router has a bug, at least I know now it could be my Z5 Nougat. :/

The title says it all. My watch will not reconnect to WiFi networks one the bluetooth connection is lost. It just doesn't do anything! I have to open the WiFi Network settings menu. Only then will it actually search for Wifi networks. This is getting annoying. Am I doing something wrong?
You're doing nothing wrong, had that same problem.
The (temporary) solution, until Samsung fixes that bug, is to
1. Deactivate WiFi profile sync in the Galaxy App 8n you phone.
2. Delete the connection one last time on the watch
3. Scan for the WiFi and put in the password
Done. Now it should connect without a problem - at least that's what it did for me.

I've been having problems with streams dropping out, WIFI calling dropping out, games dropping out, etc, turns out that is all caused by the wifi on this A70 dropping out. It seems the more demand I place on the wifi, the more likely it is to reset. It drops the wifi, switches over to LTE (making me use all my data) for about 10 seconds then the wifi comes back. I just upgraded from a Note 4 that never had this problem so it's definitely not my router.
I've tried every setting I could find, from turning off the "switch to LTE if wifi unstable" to the hidden "wifi safe mode" setting in Developer Options. Nothing makes this wifi stable.
These drop outs happen no matter the signal strength - I've seen it happen 5 times in a row when I'm at full bars/-55dB, right next to the router. Does anyone know of a fix for this?
hear hear! same here...wifi on this phone is simply awful...it makes surfing almost unbearable on a70...it drops connection with wifi all the time, switch to data and comes back to wifi many times a day...it seems samsung is trying to hard to make wifi smarter than usual...it shows checking quality of your connection, please, don't check anything just let me use any wifi with decent signal! i can't even describe how frustrating it is!
at the same time mine old lg v20 is still working perfectly on wifi 24/7 without single problem on the same network...
Do you have the A705w (Canadian) A70?

I have this model. I haven't had any problems that I noticed. At home I use N WiFi on 2.4. Seems ok at the office, haven't checked if it's using the 5 band there.
Maybe i can change same in config WiFi but who ?
I have root
I'm in UK and no WiFi problems with my A70 at all.
No problems for me also, home wifi and free hotspots at work and town works perfectly. EU country.

I also have this problem. I notice that when I start playing any games that my wifi just drops and disconnects. Maybe it has something to do with the latest update. What ever it is, I hope we can fix this soon
after november update wifi is acting up again...it drops connection every once in a while...
