[Q] My AT&T S3 has no live wallpaper, what did I do? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Phone: AT&T I747 GS3.
Rom: Stock 4.1.1, Rooted with stock kernel
Addons and extra's: I de-bloated the phone with mrRobinson's Ashaman v2.30 de-bloating, installed the 23 toggle mod, tether mod and installed Apex Launcher Pro for a more standard pure JB look.
As far as running Apex Launcher but I doesn't seem to matter if it's that the stock TW launcher, I get no live wallpaper menu if I long press the home screen. I've tried both ways.
So what I've got going on is that I don't have the option to set the standard live wallpapers via long pressing the home screen. Doesn't matter if I long press or go into system and access wallpaper threw there.
How I noticed was I bought the 3d Parallax live wallpaper and I can't set it via the live wallpaper manager thingy you get if you long press the home screen. All I get for a wallpaper selection is the normal "wallpapers" my 3 galleries from my camera's I have installed and the Apex Wallpaper tool, no "Live Wallpaper" menu.
Now if it's a live wallpaper I can access THREW my apps drawer, I can use it but if it's one that relies on me being able to set it from the long press option or the system option, they don't display, I can't see them because the standard live wallpaper selection menu isn't there in my ROM.
Thoughts? I know it's something I did, I just don't know what.

[Q] Disable scrollable wallpaper

Anyone know how to disable scrollable wallpaper?
Thanks.
Can't
I'm sorry I have looked into this myself and found in the htc sence launcher you cant!!!! Although if you crop your image to fit the screen exactly on your PC, your phone wont be able to scroll the wallpaper so it will look like it isn't moving!
Not sure about on Sense as I'm running MIUI at the moment, but I know it's an option on Apex launcher.
Apex settings -> homescreen settings -> wallpaper mode if you're interested.

LE1 ICS Update- Scrolling wallpaper??

Did anyone else experience this after flashing the ics update? Is there any way to get it back? It just seems strange considering the ics updates/leaks from every other carrier do have the option to set a scrolling background on the home screen. Any insight would be appreciated
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
In Touchwiz this happened on the maintenance update. They eliminated the scrolling wallpaper, which carried on to the official ICS T989 update. Even though all the ported ICS roms from other phones/carriers have scrolling wallpaper, the official T-Mobile ICS does not.
I've heard you can download launchers that support scrolling wallpaper (never tried myself), but I'm a Touchwiz fanboy, and it really bothers me that we don't have scrolling wallpaper.
I tried to google search a solution, which I found this:
OK if you are having issues resizing the wallpaper in the gallery that came with the new ICS leak then I've got a fix for you. I tried changing the code of the gallary3d apk in both ucle2 ics and 2.3.5 gingerbread with no success. So I found a gallary apk file on the net for android stripped the code made some minor tweaks installed and bam I could resize wallpaper again. OK let me give you some info you need to know...
First you will need the apk file from the link below. And you may want to download apex launcher from the market and here is why...
1. Using Apex launcher you have the ability to resize wallper and wallpaper scrolls again as you flip thru home screens. Apex launcher is a free download from the Google play store.
2. With stock touchwiz launcher that came on the phone after you install the apk file below you will have the ability to resize wallpaper only the scrolling wallpaper as you flip thru home screens still does not work in touchwiz and since I don't use touchwiz I'm not gonna try to make it cause touchwiz sucks anyway.
3. With go launcher, tw launcher, MX home and other launchers on the play store I have no idea. Untested on launchers other than those listed above. So try if you want and report if it works on other launchers if you want.
I have tested this on my skyrocket and it is working. Also tested it on my wife's Samsung INFUSE 4G running gingerbread and it fixed her wallpaper resizing issue to. Also fixes wallpaper scroll on the Infuse using touchwiz and go launchers but that was on the Infuse only. WALLPAPER SCROLL DOES NOT WORK USING TOUCHWIZ ON THE SKYROCKET WALLPAPER RESIZE ONLY UNLESS YOU USE APEX LAUNCHER. Just wanted to say that again so I don't get 1000 messages saying my wallpaper still won't scroll using stock launcher.
Now one more thing if you install the apk below like normal just open and install and you still have a problem resizing wallpaper then try this... you must be rooted and have an app installed that lets you get to the root folders. I use rom tool box lite free from Google play but you can use whatever root file explorer you choose. Open up root explorer find the apk you downloaded below and copy it. Then navigate to the system/app folder and paste it there. Use rom manager also free from Google play to fix permissions reboot and it should work. But try the regular install method first. As I said this is working for me on both the new ics leak on my skyrocket and on gingerbread on the Samsung infuse...
Thanks to xcraxydx for providing a couple of apks that I needed....
Download APK here.....

This person uses a different phone though (SAMSUNG-SGH-I727).
Nova launcher will give you scrollable wallpapers.... and a little bit more of a ics look.

[Q] Andromadus Mimicry v1.1.2 - home screen switching

Hello DZ users,
i said good bye to the stock rom on my DZ and tested CM9 RC1 for a while and now i am on Andromadus Mimicry v1.1.2 - and it seems that I will stay there for now.
But I'm missing the home screen switching by touching the home button. After touching the button nothing happens. Both the stock rom and CM9 have the possibility to display all 5 homescreens as thumbnails and you are able to rearrange them.
During installation with AROMA installer I choosed "Search to Recent apps" and "Sense 4.0 Style Multitasking" for UI modifications. Then I selected the Trebuchet Launcher. Are these selections the reason why the home switch button does nothing? Or was the home screen switching removed in purpose? Should I switch to APEX launcher?

My experience w/ Trebuchet is very limited (I use Nova), but I was under the impression you could configure that kind of preview w/ the home button on Trebuchet. Regardless, you can do as such w/ Nova (and much more, I recommend it a lot!), so give that a try if it's not possible with Trebuchet.
Hope you enjoy the rom
Trebuchet is very limited which is a shame being that the cyanogenmod team is behind it, That aside I've tried both nova and apex launchers for a number of days before coming up with a conclusion.
Nova launcher is for 'advanced' users everything from settings to options and more is very disorganized. I had to search over and over to find a specific feature or setting. . .
With Apex launcher everything is right there in front of you, The settings are under the right categories where they should be, Apex launcher is more 'basic' everything is able to be customized. Using Nova there was some settings I wasn't able to change and support from the dev team was unhelpful.

[Q] Google Experience Launcher and Wallpapers

I'm currently using GEL and just have one homescreen/pane.
When I set the wallpaper to a custom image, it seems to be setting my home screen to the left most pane and not centered, like when I choose one of the default wallpapers that comes with the launcher. Any ideas?
The alternative I found was to add widgets so that I can get 5 home screens, and then the default homescreen is finally centered. But I feel it defeats the purpose.
