i seen it and looked thru it didnt see much about boost 4g also it almost seemed like i wouldnt need to use a donor phone

Well you do indeed need a donor phone. When it tells you to input the meid it means the donor phone meid into the gn2. If you need help I would suggest asking there. Couldnt hurt.

I too love my Note 2. I used my Boost Mobile S3 (working 4g) as a donor phone for my note 2. Everything works but the 4g! If you can tell me how to get the 4g working I would be ecstatic... Until then, I found a company (Voyager http://www.voyagermobile.com) that will allow me to take my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to their network (uses Sprint Network) for $43.00 a month UNLIMITED everything...($45 after taxes) hard to beat that price. And you don't have t mess with your phone!

o wow nice ima check that link out yea good thing i made this sucks no 4g with boost :/

I've been using my s2 flashed to Boost for a while now. I love the s2 but was ready for 4g. I bought a Boost mobile s2 with a broken screen from Ebay. fixed the screen and activated the phone. Problem is that only the 4g works. No voice, text or 3g. I get a connection error when trying to update profile or prl. Boost tried but could not help me. The 4g works great though but without voice, it does me no good. Any ideas? Is it possible to flash voice only to the phone and keep the 4g?

@@@ Boost Mobile On The Epic @@@

Who here current has their Epic on Boost Mobile?
I currently have straight talk and it was OK, but now i feel it sucks. The Verizon towers have to reset my signal on my phone from time to time which drains my battery, I cant send texts to one particular person, etc ... Anyone have boost? And how is it?
When you say you have Straight Talk, do you mean your Epic is on Straight Talk? I don't know anyone who has Boost but from the thread in Dev about getting 3G working it seems everything works with the epic their except 4G which is to be expected.
For Boost in General, if you have great Sprint Service everywhere you go and don't Roam then Your experience should be the same on Boost, but it all depends on what area you are in. Kind of a hard thing to generalize.
Thanks man .. and yeupp i have it on straight talk .. and i dont like it too much.. wanting to switch, but wondering if its a good idea to switch too boost mobile.
I have an epic 4g on boost and it works great, I think its the same as sprint just a lot cheaper and no 4g. I hope they put wimax on boost so maybe the 4g towers can work. And are you sure you have simple mobile on your epic because the epic doesnt have a sim card so you can't use it with simple mobile.

This just in - Legally use any Sprint phone on Platinumtel prepaid!!

http://www.prepaidphonenews.com/2012/02/available-now-legally-use-any-sprint.html?m=1
As long as the phone is not currently active on Sprint and no outstanding bill. Wohooo!! !

Also note, no way to re activate phone onto Sprint again

Yeah no thanks. I like my plan and my bill.
I can see that getting really expensive the way I currently use my phone. I'd go to Boost Mobile if it ever came to prepaid.

yeah 60 bucks for 1GB of data.... wtf?!?! lol id rather do straight talk or metropc.. hell even pages if possible
Clearly it's not for everyone. Its for people who don't need unlimited and are tired of paying $80 a month. My bill went from $80 a month to $25. I use most data at home over wifi. There are many people who don't need unlimited.

My cousin has a droid 3

But he's tired of paying so much money and wants to come to sprint but I told him to wait because there's no good phones out with a keyboard and its not worth putting a new 2 year contract for a phone from 2010.
Then I remembered he's on verizon lol think it'd be possible to flash it to sprint? Will that be illegal? I mean, he's willing to pay the etf to get out of verizon, its his to do whatever with from that point on right?

Hate to be that guy but this is a question... but when kenny moves it..
I think he could flash it to an alternative carrier when he cancels it.. unsure of which ones but its possible with a donor phone.

The phone has to be in service, right? So can he just get a BS cheap texting phone and donate his service from there to his droid 3 till a new KB phone comes out?
I'm so jealous of users on att who could just put in a sim card from t-mobile into their iphone and never have bother att again

sprint buyback will pay 85 dollars for a droid 3 regardless of condition.

Theoretically yes... but if you want 3g, the donor phone has to be 3g also... tons of guides on how to do this in development...

He'll be so disappointed when switching from verizon to sprint...my girlfriends droid 2 just blazed past my evo as far as 3g speeds.
But to do this you would have to change the esn/meid of the Droid which there is no way to do currently.

whats the point for speed? To see who's faster? Who cares?
As long as you can get your data or info whatever you need like if you need directions or need to hop on the internet and get something whether it be 20 seconds or 45 seconds it doesn't matter.
And if your in a hurry you should have planned ahead, and don't "say well with LTE or faster 3g speeds i don't need to" well that just makes you lazy as hell.
I rather pay 200$ for 3 lines being UNLIMITED versus 250+ on VZW.
And yes were unlimited because the fact its slower but again who cares.
just saying..........

How to get sprint to replace evo lte with s3?

Hey guys, I currently have a evo lte and well..... It's a true PoS.
This thing won't even connect to 4g while a s3 right next to me will, among other connection/reception/service issues.
I've heard people getting they're evo lte replaced by sprint for a s3. Just called and they want to downgrade to something worse.
Any help?

Is your phone in lte mode under mobile networks or something, if it is update your profile and prl to try and get lte. As far as how to get a S3 simply sell your phone and buy a S3. The price difference shouldn't be much at all if you shop around and do research.

You can't get sprint to change your phone to the gs3 its possible but you have to have got your phone replaced more than 4 times and each replacement can't be more than a month a part and that is rare I did that I came from the galaxy nexus. But mine were legit replacents I wasn't trying to scam them if you want to exchange to a gs3 I would suggest maybe replacing your phone and if that doesn't work then just sell it and buy a gs3

[Q] Sprint Galaxy Note 2 on Straight Talk- can it be done?

I need help flashing a Sprint Galaxy Note 2 to Straight Talk. Any help would be appreciated. I have DFS already.
I know it can be done. I'm just debating doing it myself or paying $10 for a flashing service. I've heard both good and bad about one called cyberflashing and I don't know anything about any of the other services.
There are many different flashing services that have windows apps you run on a regular computer. You connect the phone to the computer running the app and they go in through the Internet and do everything. I haven't found cheaper than $10 and some are over $50.

As long as your device has a clean esn you will not need to flash to straight talk. It will use sprint towers since it is a sprint phone. They do charge you 15 dollars to add your esn to their network via CDMA bring your own phone option. The service is cheap but they took forever to port my number over and customer service is a bunch of buffoons. Don't expect them to be very helpful, they are rude, always sound like they are partying and they can't answer many technical questions.
Will you get LTE with straight talk if you get them to add your esn

I have had lte working on a d710 from sprint. So it should work on an L900. It worked as soon as it was activated and I used it until I got my L900 which I flashed to pageplus because the sprint coverage sucked so bad at my new place. You see it works on its native network on Straight talk so lte should work on your note2.
Ahh okI flashed my note 2 to Verizon prepaid and my unlimited 3g is fine for me but my mind keeps itching for 4g lte lol but I'm pretty sure sprints coverage sucks in my area in sc so I'll have to check before I switch
